Today's Spoiler

If I told anyone what happened in the park, it'd destroy your family, Deacon warns ominously. Da da da DUM - Nikki look suitably horrified.

Calling Billy at RS, Ricky campaigns hard - never mind his unimpressive resume - he's sure a face to face will land him the job of editor in chief. Vikki arrives bearing a gift; a stress ball. Updating that she might be working for Billy's family, Vikki clearly needs the stress ball when it comes to her own.

You can just feel the love in NE's CEO office. Adam will be lucky to get a cubicle in accounting when the board votes. Yeah - like they're gonna pick the guy who cost the company a half billion over a Harvard grad, Adam snorts behind the desk. Next - Sharon. Nick's convinced that she's done with Adam (which is funny - cause she never said anything like that when he saw her earlier). Uh oh - Nick doesn't look so cocky anymore.

Annoyed that the Judge won't accept his guilty plea, Victor stands - I loathed that woman and wanted her dead. Return Mr Newman to his cell, the Judge struts out. And as Avery insists Mike let her help prove Victor's innocence, Sharon's equally insistent with Victor - why oh why is he lying?

What could Deacon have possibly seen that could make things worse (than Victor confessing to the world)?! Deacon assures Nikki that he saw everything - Victor did kill Diane - but he didn't do it alone.

Nick remains confident - if Sharon goes anywhere near Adam, her visitation rights will be revoked. It's not punishment for Sharon choosing Adam over him - Nick's just protecting the daughter he stole. Is Adam that big a jerk (that he'd cause Sharon to lose Faith again?) Guess we both know the answer to that, Nick scores the last point - then slams out.

Look after yourself and your kids - Victor assures the disbelieving Sharon that he IS guilty. And as he's lead away in handcuffs, a troubled Sharon's left reeling in shock.

Still in the courtroom, Ronan and Walsh take their argument back to the station. That leaves Mike to make it clear to Avery that her assistance isn't wanted by his client. I hope I didn't leave anything behind, he says pointedly. Of course that's exactly what Mike's done. What's that? Sharon comes in to squawk. Our shot at saving Victor! Avery's excited by what she's read in Mike's 'forgotten' folder.

Nikki yet again demands to know what Deacon saw - is he gonna torture her then go to the police? No - Deacon will keep the secret for Nikki's sake - to prove she can trust him (oh - and to have something 'incredible' with her again).

Squeezing the stress ball as if her life depends on it ('working it in' for Billy), Vikki rants about Adam wreaking havoc at NE - but doesn't want to talk about Victor (beyond how it effects Mom). Billy's about to distract Vikki with some 'wickedness' in the back room - when he remembers he has a meeting. Does he have time for other fun things - like setting a wedding date? Billy thinks it a bit too late to make an 'honest man' outta him - maybe we shouldn't even try.

Wearing gloves, Ricky sneaks into Malloy's office. He's delighted to find a folder on the desk (of which he takes some quick photos).

Caressing Nikki's hair, Deacon claims he's loyal - we make sense in some crazy way. he just wants her to be happy again. Missing a call from Kay, Nikki listens to her message. Running out, she frets that she may have missed Victor's arraignment!

In the interrogation room with Mike, Victor orders him not to let Malloy, Nikki - or Sharon interfere with his plan. Sharon and Avery need to leave him alone.

Avery and Sharon are still in the courtroom - going over the folder. This is everything the prosecution has against Victor (and what Mike would have used in his defense - IF Victor didn't plead guilty). With Adam as a convenient eye witness, his previous charge of perjury may effect the Judge's decision. If only someone could get close enough to Adam, Sharon calls him - I need to see you. It's not a good idea, he manages to reply.

You don't wanna marry me? Vikki pouts - but is surprisingly OK with them going the bunny/Hef route (as opposed to Father Knows Best). They can still 'ride the train' until they die side by side.

You didn't have a problem seeing me last night, Sharon reminds. Adam has damage control to do - fires to put out. You'll pencil me in? Sharon's surprised. The call ended abruptly, Sharon whines that Adam blew her off. Now what? Avery does indeed have a tape recorder. Hoping Adam will 'slip up', Sharon IS willing to be in the same room with Adam - for Victor.

Walsh continues to blast Malloy as they arrive at his office. We have a guilty plea! Malloy ain't buyin' it - Nikki's letting her ex take the fall!

Leaving the interrogation room, Mike informs Nikki that a second killer was suggested. Go home, he excuses himself to take a call. I'd like to see my husband, Nikki's let in to see Victor. This is all wrong - she knows what happened - and what she has to do.

Nikki wants to make things right. She won't 'get away from here'. Go. Now. Victor won't budge. A weeping Nikki is let out by the guard.

Mike's at RS - asking Vikki to go see her father. Think about it, he says in parting. That leaves Vikki to decide that since her father's gone (from her life - and possibly to prison) now might be a good time to say good bye - for good.

At CL's, Nick leaves Sharon a message. Avery delivers good news - the Judge declined Victor's guilty plea. Nick's not pleased to hear how determined Sharon is to clear Victor - or that she's walked into the lions den - she's with Adam right now.

At the office, Sharon talks to Adam about Victor killing Diane. She thought she knew him. To think - the man I trusted, Sharon just can't wrap her head around it. Perhaps if Adam told her what happened that night. Alas, Adam knows Sharon's not there for gory details. Do you really believe your father's the killer? Sharon challenges.

At the ranch, a weepy Nikki gulps back a coupla glasses of vodka.

Thanks to Malloy, you still have an unsolved murder, Walsh grumbles into his phone - which is then passed to Ronan (who emits a few 'yes sirs' and an 'I understand'). Walsh orders Ronan to clear out his desk - he's blown his last case for the GCPD!

You let Sharon go see Adam? Nick scolds. Avery points out that Sharon's an adult - and by the time she's explaining, I didn't 'send' anyone anywhere - Nick's left CL's.

Back at the office, Sharon persists in her quest to see the real Victor - the way Adam does. But Adam has a business to run - and she shouldn't be there. Now you wanna tell me what I need? Sharon gazes into Adam's eyes (as he works to maintain his scowl).

At RS, Billy's not overly impressed with the rookie Ricky - who's fresh outta school. Ricky's a pro active aggressive journalist - like Phyllis (who's job he wants). Billy remains unimpressed - this ain't radio son - you're not ready. Ricky is so - and knowing he's back with Vikki, has bombshell news from the GCPD that would blow Ms Newman's mind.

Taking a seat, as requested, Vikki's thanked for coming. Updating that the Judge rejected Victor's plea, Vikki's asked to verify Adam's statement. She'll never have to see him again - if she testifies that she also saw him kill Diane.

Deacon wrestles the glass away from Nikki. Both tumbling onto the sofa, Nikki wishes the last year to be gone. Victor's pushed her away - and it's all her fault. I don't know how to fix that, she sobs in Deacon's arms. Just rest baby, Deacon will take care of everything.

At CL's, Mike bumps into Avery - literally. No hard feelings about his insistence that she and Sharon don't get involved in Victor's case? Today's been a real eye opener - in all sorts of ways, Avery coyly says.

Unable to resist, Adam's about to kiss Sharon when Nick slams in.

Billy's not interested in this bombshell - Victor's confession is old news. But the police have another suspect, Ricky reports; Vikki's mother.

Vikki balks at lying to the police for her father (whom she knows is innocent). Do as Victor asks and she'll get what she wants. But Vikki doesn't want her father in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Who does he care enough about to throw his life away for?

Nikki crashed on the couch, Deacon calls to arrange a flight to Vegas. First class all the way - asap.

Next: Just be sweet to me - like you used to, Deacon implores. You can't be serious, Nikki's horrified ... I knew you weren't completely over Phyllis - but you're not even over Sharon, Avery tells Nick ... Vikki - this is the worst thing you could have done. I want you to get OUT! Vikki screeches at Billy.

My Thoughts: Now that he knows that Nikki's fallen off the wagon, shouldn't Victor call to have the booze locked away? Yeah yeah - an alcoholic will always find a way - but since Nikki's clearly vulnerable, does it need to be displayed so deliciously? .... Since the incredible (and incredibly underused) Baldwin's haven't had their own storyline in eons - perhaps long hours working together will cause a flirtation between Mike and Avery *gasp* ... Considering the way she pounced when Phyllis stole her photos from a courtroom, maybe Avery should just return Mike's folder (instead of stealing it). Everyone's so careless with sensitive documents lately. And no one noticed Ricky - looking suspicious as hell and wearing gloves - entering Ronan's office, rummaging through his desk and taking photos? Someone musta brought in a box of donuts ... Never thought I'd side with Adam against Nick - but yeah - Nick's right in not wanting Faith around Adam - but the child's safety aside, it does sound like sour grapes that Sharon chose Adam over Nick. And if past court rulings are any indication, Nick doesn't even HAVE the legal right to 'revoke' Sharon's visitation if she 'goes anywhere near' Adam (her visitation was revoked after she was falsely charged with murder) ... Sharon didn't exactly 'rot' in jail - rotting is what's occurring in my fridge's veggie bin - or my kid's backpacks ... Odd how the courtroom's are always left empty after a hearing or case is heard - that there's never another hearing taking place immediately afterwards ... Oh great - Deacon's gonna blackmail/coerce another woman into marrying him. Didn't he force Amber to marry him too? Why would such a handsome, young man need to go to such lengths? Whatever happened to his son, L'il D - the kid he claimed to be doing it all to protect? If it's money Deacon needs, why didn't he steal some trinkets when Nikki foolishly left him unattended at the ranch? And how does Deacon declare himself 'loyal'? ... Ricky IS being quite presumptuous. Perhaps the editor in chief job should go to one of the many RS employees always milling about in the background. Of course the Nick and Vikki's 'start up' is 'on hold' - they haven't even decided what business they want to start up ... How can a man as dense as Spencer Walsh be made DA? He makes Pomerantz look bright... Why would Nick think that Adam's problems with the SEC are gonna haunt him the rest of his life? Doesn't seem to have hinderer him (or Vikki for that matter) at all .. If Victor wants to be taken seriously as a murderer, perhaps he should refrain from phrases like 'with all due respect' when addressing the Judge... 'Adam loves a good lie', Sharon says (and a good lay - cause that's what she's lying about - and hinting at)
