Today's Spoiler

Sharon reads the article on her phone. Fresh out of rehab, the incarcerated billionaire's ex has abandoned him - gone from toasted to toasting - her marriage to a bartender and former felon. An added tidbit from RS; Nikki's a suspect in Diane's murder. Sharon's oh so sorry.

'We're just gettin' started', Deacon cajoles and mauls his bride. Like hell we are! Nikki slaps him across the face (much to the shock of the minister and witness). What a kidder! Deacon carries on.

Outside CL's, Avery melts under Nick's lips - but denies she's interested him him at all (despite what her pulse says). I forgot my coffee, she marches back inside. Nick, the 'jerk' follows - to deny he wants either Sharon or Phyllis. He wants Avery - and only Avery. What the hell!? a scowling Nick shows her the 'breaking news' on his phone.

At home on his laptop, Billy declares the retraction 'done'. But yes honey, the article's probably gone viral already. It can't be unpublished. Billy really doesn't wanna show her what else he found online. OMG! Vikki gasps.

At the club, Phyllis reads the RS 'publisher's letter' - a breach of security is being investigated - and blamed for the 'vicious attack'. She's even more delighted when Ronan calls. She's coming (so to speak) - but has something to take care of first. This won't take long at all, she gloats to herself (still salivating over her ipad).

Hustling the minister and witness out, Deacon's happy to hear the photos are available online. They're already online, Nikki slurs. Yes - but Deacon wants one framed - for the mantel - and Nikki better not screw it up for him. And now it's off to the limo - and dinner. Let's get this honeymoon started! Finish it yourself, Nikki zig zags out - don't follow me! (which is exactly what Deacon does).

Back in the interrogation room, Sharon encourages Victor to talk. But there's nothing to say. Sharon quickly dismissed, Vikki defends her Mom (who may be drinking) - and makes it clear that Billy didn't write the RS article - the 'garbage rag' was 'hacked'. Is Mom really a suspect? Nick isn't quite as forgiving. THIS is how Mom repays Victor for standing by her? He's gonna fly to Vegas and kick his new stepdaddy's ass. What's happened to our family? A dejected Victor tears up - asking Nick not to - he's to forgive his mother.

In his seedy motel room, Ronan has a version of the whiteboard on his laptop. He's typed out a list; the where, why and how's of Nikki. Still unknown, he types - did she acquire Succinylcholine?

Showing up at Billy's, he may have nothing to say to Phyllis - but she has plenty to say to HIM (re: the RS article about Nikki).

Barging in uninvited, Phyllis boasts that RS was never hacked while she was there - because she prevented it with amazing online security. Sure Billy can hire a computer geek - but he won't deliver cutting edge stories (the ones that he can't publish - but SHE can). They can play 'good husband/bad journalist'. chuckling over this riddle; sometimes you've gotta do things you don't want - to get things you DO want (getting back at Victor is the implication).

Nick's suggestions (to kick Deacon's ass - or drag Nikki's back to rehab) are shot down. Doesn't she give a damn about anybody? Stand by your mother - don't judge her, Victor implores.

Sipping wine at the club's bar, Sharon waves Avery over (as she tries to duck out). Declining a drink, Avery's gonna work out her stress. Nick told her Sharon wasn't able to dupe Adam - and is sorry - she didn't know seeing them together would set Nick off. He's using Adam to take Faith from me, Sharon sighs - things were always volatile - but no way Nick's taking Faith away from her. In fact, she's hiring Avery - to fight Nick for custody of Faith.

Explaining that family law isn't her specialty, Avery claims Daisy's different (she's working on her criminal case). Sharon's case is more complicated. Sharon has faith in Avery. Why doesn't she feel comfortable with this? You don't think I can win? No - what conflict of interest? I've been seeing Nick, Avery stuns Sharon silent.

Back at Vikki's, both kids wonder what the hell is wrong with their parents? Why is Victor cool with Nikki marrying Deacon? When Billy joins them (to whine about problems of his own), Nick leaves him to advise Vikki - and share that Phyllis came over ...

Ronan gives Phyllis a warm, no a hot welcome. Clothes come off immediately as they join at the lips - and the hips.

A wary Nikki tip toes in on egg shells . I can explain, she assures Victor.

Naked in bed, Ronan didn't realize how much he missed Phyllis (who's put him out of his misery). Good thing he's working from home. Ronan has no problem shagging Phyllis in his office - but he no longer has one. I got fired.

Nobody does un-friggin'-believable like Phyllis - does she really think Billy'd hire her back - after she stole Lucy?! Vikki hopes she never comes around while SHE'S home. And now it's time to enjoy a nice quiet evening ~kiss~

Back at the club, Sharon's in shock - you and Nick? How long? Avery explains that they got close during her trial. She probably shoulda mentioned it before. Sharon takes it well - Avery doesn't owe her any explanations. She'll find her own lawyer for the custody case, but still needs Avery's help with Victor's.

Tearing up, Nikki knows what Victor must think of her - there's so much she can't explain. She never meant to hurt Victor (who's calm and understanding - but thinks she should go). Nikki in the hallway, Victor in the interrogation room, both are devastated.

Both fully dressed, Billy massages Vikki. The topic of conversation is TV sitcoms - and how to spend their evening (pay per view - not cable). A greedy Vikki's so impressed she wants to extend the episode from 30 to 60 minutes ~kiss~

In Ronan's bed - and wearing nothing but his shirt, Phyllis thinks it crazy that he was fired. Even more crazy? He's suspended from the FBI too. But motivated by justice, Ronan still wants to catch the killer. And so does Phyllis. How amazing would a journalist and a detective be? Does Phyllis wanna go rogue with Ronan? Figure out who killed Diane?

Bumping into Avery at the club, a stressed out Nick looks even more stressed - when Avery updates that Sharon asked her to represent her. She wouldn't take no for an answer - until Avery told her the truth - about 'us'.

Going back to see Victor, Sharon knows he needs someone to talk to. Victor stands firm - he's doing the right thing. Apparently having overheard his earlier conversation, Sharon observes that Victor didn't seem shocked that Nikki married Deacon - more disappointed and sad. Nikki's confused, out of control right now, Victor opines. Sharon wonders how long she's been out of control - she knows he's covering for someone - it's Nikki, isn't it? she whispers.

When Nikki returns to the suite, Deacon wonders how 'Vic' too the news. He thinks I married you because I'm an out of control drunk, Nikki sighs. Deacon corrects that she did it for love (sure for her daughter - but she'll come around). He's sure Nikki will remember what a great guy he is. Go to hell, Nikki sneers at the ring she has no intention of wearing. Grabbing her hand to slide it on, Deacon expects Nikki to look and act like his wife - in every way.

lNaked beneath a blanket on the sofa, Vikki doesn't wanna talk about her parents. And since he cooked dinner, she'll take care of dessert ~kiss~

Nick assures he's not upset - he and Sharon are history - done. They share kids and a past. He doesn't care if Sharon knows they're together. We're not together. Oh really? The why did Avery tell Sharon they were. Avery thought she should know - even if they're not gonna see one another anymore. After talking in circles for a bit, Nick gives Avery a passionate kiss.

There's more passion going on in Ronan's motel room. Phyllis is 'in'. Talking into one another's mouths, Phyllis pants that she's gonna write a very interesting story (but first she's gonna have more mad sex).

There's no passion going on in the newlywed's suite. Nikki is Deacon's wife in name ONLY. Blackmail is such an ugly word, Deacon smirks. Let's just do this! Nikki yanks her wallet out and slams her credit cards on the desk. Buy yourself a new wardrobe, she snaps. And when Deacon insists he didn't marry 'Nik' for her money, she claims that's all he'll get. Take it all! she marches into the bathroom - leaving Deacon to scoop up and pocket the credit cards.

Sharon knew Victor didn't kill Diane - but he thinks Nikki did - that's why he confessed. And when Victor neither confirms or denies it, Sharon prattles on - she won't let him do this. It's none of your business, Victor summons the guard to take him to his cell. 'Wanna be my friend? Leave me alone', is Victor's exit line. No way, Sharon's left alone to shake her head.

Next: Mom's not here because Mr Newman killed her, Kyle grieves to his Dad ... I try to be a good person - do all the right things - but lately I've been having all these terrible thoughts about Genevieve. Rosary in hand, Patty thinks aloud - as she kneels in the front pew at the chapel ... You look like you need someone to talk to, John appears to Jack - at a Christmas tree lot of all places.

My Thoughts: How is everyone being alerted to this 'breaking news' on their phones? Are they set to beep every time randomly chosen sites are updated? Or have they somehow flagged stories with the keyword 'Newman'? .... Yes Billy - how COULD this 'breach of security' possibly have happened. If everything possible is being done to track down those responsible, I'm wondering how long it'll take them to track Phyllis down. And I think it's safe to say that Ricky's out of the running for editor in chief ... Odd that the article didn't mention that Nikki herself was once (briefly) RS's editor in chief - I guess the magazine wouldn't be too eager to publicize that they employed a suspected murderer ... Deacon's still a bartender? Where? G-worm let everyone go - he hasn't poured drinks there in ages .... Clearly Vikki's been watching too much Father Knows Best - when she shoulda been watching Intervention. 'Show her a little love and support'? Get her 'back to where she needs to be'? Yeah - rehab - not the ranch - with it's fully stocked bar - and decades of bad memory 'triggers'. Victor's off base too - his 'stand by your mother' mantra may make a good country/western song - but it's just enabling Nikki's behavior. It's time for tough love - not to 'stand by your mother' (and what? hold her hair while she vomits?) ... Being a web site designer does not in any way qualify one to be an expert in server side security - believe me, I know. If Billy were to enlist the help of his computer geek pal, Kevin, he'd know the RS site wasn't 'hacked' - it was accessed with the password ... With his non-stop parade of visitors, Victor may never have to spend any time in a cell. Does he even have a bunk? .. 'Blackmail's such an ugly word' - yet one Deacon's very familiar with. I doubt he's gonna get far with Nikki's expansive collection of credit cards. You'd think Victor woulda had Mike report them lost or stolen the second she became Mrs Deacon Sharpe ... There must have been a sale on black wife-beaters. Ronan rarely takes his off - I'm thinking the good detective may be in need of some crunches ... For all this talk about Faith this and Faith that, neither Nick or Sharon are spending much time with her - and Lucy's another kid being raised by a nanny ... Oh Nikki - violence is never the answer. Wouldn't it have made things more interesting if Deacon slapped her back?
