Ronan awakens to banging on his door. It's Phyllis - with pastries and coffee - she needs him wide awake.

Visiting Vikki, Nick gives her a full update. Vikki understands why Nikki married Deacon - but why is she self destructing? Nick's been thinking the same thing - Mom killed Diane - Dad's protecting her.

Sharon gets bad news from Avery - evidence puts Victor at the murder scene - his prints are on the syringe. Ending the call, Sharon joins Victor and Mike (and is told to stop coming). He appreciates both their concern - but accept it and go on with your lives. Don't worry about me.

Nikki awakens groggily - but is instantly awake when rolling over and seeing her bedmate. What the hell are you doing in bed with me!? she asks her husband.

Genevieve admires her tree; decorated with the Ashby family. It's no nice - everything's nicer when you're in love. Oh what will she buy her Jack for Christmas. Perhaps 'Merna' can help come up with a gift that will 'wow' him.

Though Jack's disappointed Billy won't be working at Jabot, he's happy he's got RS back - and his life is coming together. But what is he leaving out? Victor - he wants Billy gone for good - and almost made it happen.

Out of bed and arms folded, a furious Nikki points her finger at Deacon (who comments that she looks fantastic in the morning). He can't sleep on the floor (her son hurt his back). Plus - we must keep up appearances. Deal with it!

Jack's horrified by Billy's update - the one good thing Victor did was find him (when no one else could) - and brought him back to save Delia. Billy can't blame everything on Victor - he screwed up badly. He sure HOPES everything's OK now - and wants to put it all behind him. Jack hopes Victor's locked away forever - but isn't sure he did it (though he deserves what he gets).

The truth always comes out, Sharon continues to badger - Nikki's falling apart - making drunken scenes - marrying Deacon. Nikki needs his support - not Victor rotting away in prison.

In the hallway, Walsh informs Mike that due to the new evidence, the Judge is willing to rehear Victor's plea - today.

Victor's sure that everyone will comes to terms with it and move on. Sharon tries other reasons - many people count on him etc. Victor asks her to buy a Chritsmas gift (for the kids - from him and Nikki). Giving up, Sharon chats with Mike in the hallway. Tell Avery to hurry up and find something, Mike instucts - Victor's second arraignment is in a coupla hours. Best he can do is ask for a postponement,

In Ronan's motel room, he and Phyllis get buys - figuring out why Victor's lying. Ronan lays it out - everyone was at the park to confront Diane. There was no footage of Nikki or Adam on the film. Whoa - Ronan gets an email from Diane; a message from beyond the grave. Oh look - it's footage of Nikki - passed out and covered in blood - a bloody rock nearby. Questions: what did she do before passing out? And who shot the film?

At the bar, Deacon hands Angeloa an envelope - what he owes plus interest. Yup - we're square. Angelo congratulates Deacon on his fine catch. Yeah - Deacon couldn't he happier.

Still in the suite, Nikki has all the ingredients for a Bloody Mary - but first a few drinks from the tiny vodka bottle.

Nick and Vikki continue to brainstorm - what CAN they do if it's true?? Call the police and trade Mom behind bars for Dad? When Billy comes home, he's filled in. Vikki will go see Mom - Nick declines - he'll go check on Dad.

Jack saunters into the interrogation room - you're a real son of a bitch, he scowls down at Victor (who deserve to grow old here - after what he did to Billy - to Kyle). Victor never meant to hurt Kyle - believe that.

Save it - no absolution from Jack. Does Victor have any idea how much he's hurt Kyle? - who's now facing his first Christmas without his mother - because of YOU. No - Victor WON'T explain it to him one day. Oh - and Jack's made it his mission to void the guardianship. Kyle will never see Victor again. He then needles Victor about Vikki - who's happy with Billy. Victor asks the guard to take this gentleman out. He has a guilty conscience alright? Now get out.

At home, Vikki mopes - after all these years - everything they've been through. Victor must love Nikki very much. Off to see her Mom, Vikki can only get through it because Billy will be home waiting for her ~hug~

Phyllis claims there's no way to trace the email - what next? Ronan can't think about it - what with Phyllis looking so damn sexy in his bed n all.

Sharon's now in Avery's suite - fretting that Mike won't be able to get a postponement. A quick knock at the door and Nick's about to kiss Avery. It's not a good time, she stammers quietly. Nick now sees Sharon (staring - hands on her hips). Awkward!

What a nice surprise. Jack doesn't need to call first - he has an open invitation ~kiss~. Merna out shopping, they have the house to themselves - and Genevieve can make Jack forget all his problems ~kiss~

In the interrogation room, Mike ends his call to deliver bad news - no postponement. Victor thinks it good news. Don't do this, Mike implores of his friend. If the Judge accepts his guilty plea, Victor could be sentenced immediately - possibly sent to prison for the rest of his life. Are you listening? Though engrossed in the newspaper, he's heard every word.

No need for Sharon to go - Nick's there to discuss Victor (whom he appreciates Sharon supporting). He was MY greatest supporter, she responds pointedly. Nick's worried about both his parents. Nikki's drinking again, Sharon feels the need to say.

Oh look - Nikki is indeed drinking. No lectures, she groans, glass in hand, when Vikki comes knocking. Nikki offers a drink - it'll make Vikki feel better. There's no need to be 'afraid' - just forget what happened in the park. She and Dad will protect Vikki - don't worry.

Merna's horrified to see Genevieve and Jack, naked except for a blanket - kissing under the tree. Hiding, she looks devastated.

Mike curls his lip - what Victor's doing isn't noble - it's reckless! Nikki'd agree if he gave her a chance to. Guard! Victor asks to be returned to his cell. See you at the hearing - he leaves Mike to stew.

How could the forensics experts have missed Victor's finger prints the first time? Avery wonders aloud. Getting a call from Mike, she updates that Victor's hearing is now. Nick will meet them there. He's off to see if Ronan can stop it again.

Phyllis and Ronan kiss passionately - doesn't look like he's gonna stop anything anytime soon.

The generous Deacon pays the tab with flourish. He toasts to a long and  beautiful friendship. And a long and happy marriage, 'Ang' adds as they clink glasses. Oh - that reminds Deacon - he wants to put 10K on the Cowboys.

She's completely safe - neither of Vikki's parents will talk. Safe from what? Vikki's puzzled - then gets it. You think I killed Diane?! She was evil, Nikki slurs - repeating her vow to protect Vikki (who repeats, swearing on Reed's life, that she didn't do it). As Nikki reels in shock, Vikki takes a call - then updates that Victor's back in court. This time the Judge will accept his guilty plea. Oh God - what do we do now? Nikki worries.

Still in nothing but a blanket, Jack pulls out Genevieve's Christmas gift. He wants to make her his - forever. Would she do him the great honour of being his wife? As shocked as Genevieve is, Patty, hiding around the corner, is even more devastated.

At a front pew seat at the chapel, Billy talks to Jesus on the cross. It's me - I'm back. His prayers for Delia answered, Billy is a better man (as promised); for Delia, for Vikki. He just wants to be the husband she deserves. How about a sign? Billy sure would appreciate it.

Avery and Sharon seated in the courtroom, Victor and Mike arrive. Victor doesn't want to hear a word out of either of em - is that clear? The Judge takes her seat. Victor again pleads guilty. Yes - he's prepare3d to accept the consequences. OK - the court is ready to pass sentence. Team Victor (except for Victor) exchange worried looks.

As Phyllis jumps in the shower, Nick comes knocking - and barges in to demand Ronan's help. There's no hot water, Phyllis comes out in a towel. Awkward.

The Judge speaks of a child left without a mother - the inhumanity of Diane being drugged/paralyzed - so she couldn't fight back. And as she declares Victor be imprisoned for 25 years to life, Nikki runs in (Vikki on her heels) No - you can't! He didn't do it! Turning, Victor looks none too pleased.

Next: In a fury, Merna rips up  the blanket Genevieve and Jack had sex under .... Mom could have killed Diane. Nick reasons. Actually, Ronan thinks it means she didn't .... Behind bars, Nikki weeps at Nick and Vikki - you've got to help your father. He did not do this.
