Adding his donation to the food drive pile. Devon finds Harmony leading the chapel's children's choir (say THAT 3 times fast). What if we forget the words? Summer runs over to fret. Devon watches - impressed - as Harmony plays Mary Poppins. Tonight's gonna be just wonderful!
At the mausoleum, Kay's on the phone - it's all set - she won't tell a soul (and will leave that to whomever she's talking to). Joining her, Jill chides Kay for keeping secrets. Her surprises have a tendency to backfire (ie. Devon).
At G-worm, Sofia's talking Neil into buying a train for the twins when the McCall's drop by their table. Ashley offers congratulation and babysitting services - us newlyweds have to stick together. Alone again, Neil agrees it was nice of Ashley - they'll her to take her up on it sometime.
A twin in each of their laps, Cane and Lily do crafts - Cane reaching out to rub glitter off Lily's face.
Outside, in her Daddy's arms, Delia twists a Christmas bulb. Back inside, Vikki's all excited too - she didn't burn the cookies this time. And aren't all those lights on the house great? I love Christmas, Delia giggles as she eats a cookie.
The Baldwin's are at the penthouse. While waiting for Lucy to wake up, Phyllis suggests wine (then is stunned to hear that Adam is NE's CEO).
If Adam had everything he wanted, he'd ... Stop - but Sharon doesn't manage to shut him up. And, on cue, here comes Nick (who's NOT impressed).
It's a bummer that Delia can't go to the pageant - but they'll get a copy of it on DVD - AND - she can help Billy wrap Vikki's present. Wanting a hint, Vikki's delighted when Delia proclaims it the best gift in the entire store - because we love ya.
Over wine, Phyllis is updated by the Baldwin's. She understands why Nick didn't tell her - he must be furious.
It's not what it looks like - Adam just bumped into Sharon - and was telling her about the board meeting. Having a private word with Sharon, Nick doesn't want to discuss the meeting - nor does he want to fight about why she didn't walk away from Adam. Stringing some popcorn (him, Sharon and Faith) after the pageant? Eying Adam, Nick doesn't think so.
Craft time at the Ashby residence continues - as Cane thanks Lily for including him. Agreeing to 'tag team' the twins into their 'costumes', Lily smiles - we've always been goo partners.
Before all leave for the pageant, Ashley runs to get one last look at Moses (a little guy, Neil's gonna 'do right' by). Sofia tells Tucker that things are fine - but she hasn't laid it all out there for Neil - it's their first Christmas - and then there's the pageant. Nothing should stand in the way, Tucker states.
It's too late for second thoughts - he'll be grateful, Kay's sure. That you're meddling in his life - but - Jill will stay out of it - though fears the evening will implode (and she'll be the only one to wish Kay a Merry Christmas).
How'd Harmony get involved? She wanted to 'give back' - and only knows about music. You were great with the kids, Devon says. Harmony wishes she could be this person for him and Anna. Devon's pleased to see his mother healthy and happy. And he's already made her Christmas.
Sharon again tries to convince Nick that she didn't know Adam would be here. Nick doesn't like hurting her - but isn't convinced Faith means 'everything' to her as well. And when Adam saunters over to ask if she's OK, Sharon snaps - leave me alone - and clip clops off.
Yup - Devon's protege is singing at Chloe's wedding - should be interesting. The Winter's then arrive with Moses, the star of the show. Harmony congratulates the good looking family. The Ashby's then bring their kids in. The McCall's arrive next - there because Ashley doesn't get many chances to see Faith. After being introduced to the friendly Ashley, Harmony runs to greet Kay with a hug - then is shocked (and none too happy) when she calls Anna in. Devon however, is ecstatic - and runs to give his sister a hug.
Billy and Delia have Vikki's gift wrapped and under the tree. Next - the stockings. Delia's will be extra stuffed - Dad's too - with coal. He's sorry he was so naughty - and won't be anymore.
At G-worm, Vikki's also unimpressed to hear Sharon was with Adam - guess she doesn't realize Nick's serious about keeping Faith from her. Oh - she understands - she just can't help herself, Nick figures. 'Losing it' with Sharon does no good (and Adam enjoys it). He must think he's king of the world, Vikki gripes.
Meanwhile, a depressed Adam sits in the dark boardroom - all alone *sniff*
Arriving at the chapel, Sharon takes Faith from the nanny - look how beautiful you are, she gushes. I missed you, she holds Faith tight.
Anna's greeted by the Winters - explaining that Mrs C's getting her back to Chicago in time for her concert. The McCall's whisper info to Sophia; Devon's half sister is raised by her Aunt - she hasn't seen her mother since she was a little girl. Kay then introduces Anna to Harmony. You're pretty. No, you're pretty. Merry Christmas, they also exchange (Harmony near tears).
Introduced by Neil, Sofia can't wait to hear Anna sing. And after Harmony and the Reverend go to fetch the children, the next group arrives. Phyllis hands Lucy to the Baldwin's - then asks Sharon about Nick. Ducking the question, Sharon marches off - just as Nick arrives. Hey. Hey. Phyllis brings up Adam being named CEO. Nick's more concerned about keeping Adam from Faith. Phyllis knows EXACTLY what he's going through - because she's trying to keep a psycho away from HER child too. And when she throws Avery in his face, Nick needles her back (wondering how Vikki's gonna handle Christmas without Lucy). Both having made their points, Nick heads in to sit down - while Phyllis seems to consider his words.
Vikki watches a mother and daughter at CL's. Clearly thinking of Lucy, she leaves near tears.
Jill drops by Billy's - Mommy's getting married tomorrow, she reminds Delia - isn't that exciting? Maybe one of these days Daddy will ... Billy quickly changes the subject - look at all these presents! Is the topic forbidden? Jill wonders. Billy's no multi tasker - they've got Jesus' birthday to celebrate (which seems to be news to Delia). OK - Billy will tell her the story (in his own entertaining way).
Summer's front and center as the pageant starts - Nick and Phyllis sharing a chuckle when she stumbles over her lines. Fen's a sheppard - Faith, an angel, sucks on her pacifier. The Ashby twins and Moses are props as well. Joy To The World is sung - while the other parents try to avoid being clocked (as Mike all but contorts himself to get the best camera angle).Sharon wipes a tear from her eye at Faith's gripping performance.
Rabid applause fades - and Anna sings. Kay watches Harmony (who's near tears). Devon watches proudly. Vikki arrives - spots Phyllis with Lucy - and exits. More applause.
Ready to leave, Jill's thrilled to have Billy home - don't screw it up this time. Love you - love you. Hearing the door slam, Delia panics - Daddy!? He's right here - and not going anywhere - promise.
Leaving, Anna says good bye to Harmony (who says - it was nice to see you again). And when Kay asks if she's alright, Harmony escapes with an 'excuse me'. Everyone files out with their kids. Nick and Phyllis pausing to praise Summer, Nick's invited to come tuck her in. He's got Faith, but will try (and says 'see you tomorrow'). The nanny hands Faith to Nick - say night night Mommy. Please don't send me away, Sharon implores.
Now home, Vikki makes a beeline for the tree - which gift is mine? Billy slaps a bow on his shirt. Vikki loves her present - the best gift she'll ever get ~kiss~
At the Ashby's, Sofia takes the twins off to get ready for bed. Cane doesn't have time for egg nog - but Lily's sure he has time for this ~kiss~
Back at the mausoleum, Harmony's not one for surprises - but it was nice to see Anna (whom Kay thinks 'receptive' to getting to know her). Harmony thinks of all those parents - so wrapped up in their children. Devon and Anna must feel so cheated. How can she make up for that? Kay thinks having their mother in their lives now - will mean everything to them.
At CL's, Anna thinks it must be hard for Harmony - and it's good that Kay's helping her. She has an agenda, Devon's sure. But Anna reminds that Kay paid her tuition - not knowing the connection. Everybody makes mistakes - keeping the secret was wrong - but it doesn't make Kay a bad person.
Mike gives Fen some cash - and sends him off to buy a treat. Lauren wants more family time for Christmas - let's take Fen to a lodge this weekend. Great idea - but Lauren's to check with Mike before booking anything (due to his schedule - and the 'situation'). We need some 'us' time, Lauren leans over to give him a kiss.
At G-worm, Tucker has an early gifts for Ashley - a trip to see Abby. You're so good to me. Devon? He doesn't want me around, Tucker pouts. Ash's sure he'll come around.
Summer and Phyllis munch away as they work on gingerbread house. Both wish Daddy could help. Sending Summer off for gumdrops, Phyllis pouts.
Nick doesn't want Faith to feel the tension between them - good night. Left to hear Faith bleat 'Mom' a few times (as Nick carries her out), Sharon's devastated. Adam comes along - but leaves before Sharon sees him.
Next: If you care about me - let me stay, Sharon pleads through the glass at Victor. Arriving, Nikki looks shocked to see her.... Where is he!? Where's my groom?! Chloe demands answers from Angelo. Your father's gonna kill me, Kevin screams at Angie. In a garage, beside a car, Kevin and Angie duck as shots are fired.
My Thoughts: Good question Devon - how does a rehabilitated crackhead who didn't raise her own kids - get put in charge of a kid's Christmas pageant? ... Listen to Harmony tell Kay 'I'm really not one for surprises' - she sounds like she has a lisp (nuthin' wrong with that - but I never noticed it before - or after) ... Us newlyweds have to stick together, Ashley says - for what? And against whom? The single people? who've been married a long time? (which sadly only leaves the Baldwin's and the Murphy's) ... Again - I completely understand why Nick wouldn't want Faith being exposed to Adam - but him catching Sharon conversing with Adam (a random run in at a public place no less) - is certainly no reason to deny Faith a fun evening with both her parents. Him abusing his power - losing his objectivity and using Faith to punish Sharon - is almost as harmful (and a slippery slope many parents fall prey to) ... Ashley doesn't get many chances to see Faith? Why not? What happened to Nick's support of her having a big role in Faith's life. Has Ashley not asked to see her? Or has Nick denied her too? ... Lucy's too young to be in the pageant? She'd get too 'distracted'? Odd that she'd the only child not included - especially since she was dropped off at the chapel (not sure it it's that one) ... Nice how that kid's scratching the heck out of the CL's table with her dinky car - her mother smiling on (like she's doing no damage - and it doesn't sound like nails on a chalkboard) .... Ah - the annual GC children's pageant - where the regular church goers offspring (who likely put on their Sunday best to attend Sunday school each week) are shoved aside so that the town's sinning (but wealthy) elite can fill up the pews as the fill up the jail cells - to adore their entitled and ever so talented kids. The new Reverend must be really proud to be stepping in to such a fine production. Not wondering for a second why he doesn't recognize any of the kids - or their parents (except for from the pages of the GC Chronicle). Nor does he wonder about the purpose of Moses (not in a manger or costume of any sort- but in what looks like another car seat) - like someone just put him down for a minute to make a phone call. Most talented - is Faith - was she able to sing past her pacifier? Is the constant need to have something in her mouth an inherited trait? .... Nice - Nick can't come and tuck Summer in - because he's got Faith? Do the half sisters ever spend any time together? And how hard is he gonna 'try' to tuck her in - if he's saying 'see you tomorrow' ..... There just to see Faith, isn't it odd that Ashley left the church without even seeing her?
