Chelsea gives Liam the ole 'long time no see' - explaining who she is and where she met Billy, Chelsea marches inside, uninvited and unwelcome.

Eyeing one another, Phyllis and Nick kiss their respective dates. Something wrong? Ronan pulls away. Yes - something is very wrong, Phyllis agrees. Across the room, Patty doesn't have to wait long. Gloria's 'soft sell' is interrupted by Genevieve's panic - Jack!? Something is not right, he slumps into a chair.

At Jimmy's, Adam continues to drink alone - while, at the prison, Nikki grabs Sharon's hand - what. is. this? Hmm - can't be Nick - Adam!? Her scolding is interrupted by Victor's announcement - HE gave the ring to Sharon. I asked her to marry me. That shuts Nikki up.

Get outta my house! Billy snaps. Not until we talk. And what does Chelsea need to talk to Vikki's husband about? You really wanna do this with your WIFE here? Chelsea sneers. Sure - Billy then tells of his drink being spiked - and being hauled off to jail, framed for drugs. You didn't tell her, Chelsea guesses - you have NO idea who you're married to.

Gloria tries to keep things quiet - denying Jack has food poisoning. Genevieve's told to call an ambulance. Across the room, Phyllis decides this isn't the way to ring in 2012. Avery notices Nick (noticing Phyllis lead Ronan out) - she knows exactly what his problem is (but does HE have a clue).

Too absurd for words! Nikki scoffs. But yes, they DO have things in common; Victor's her kid's GRANDFATHER - Sharon married both his SONS etc etc. Sharon manages to hold her head high - as her fiance reminds Nikki that she has a new husband. You don't know anything at all, Nikki glares at Victor.

A drunken Adam struggles to punch in Sharon's number - hanging up when getting her voicemail.

This has nothing to do with Deacon - or anyone else. Victor enjoys Sharon's company - alright? He can't have a marriage from a jail cell - and how DID Sharon do it? Did she cry - about how lonely she is - like always? This was Victor's choice - Sharon's young, vibrant etc - why wouldn't he want to marry her? Nikki's silenced again.

Please don't turn on the sirens (Gloria's discreetly calling an ambulance). Jack just needs some fresh air (but nearly collapses when trying to stand). And as Genevieve leads her exhausted fiance out (to his place), Patty hides her face and hurries out.

Avery hasn't met many, OK any men as decent as Nick. She's enjoyed their time together - and knows he didn't mean to use her. For what? Sex? It's (almost) all about Phyllis - it's not over between you two. You're still in love with her. Yeah, maybe I am, Nick admits.

At the penthouse, Ronan takes the time to ask about the kids - then gets down to business.

Chelsea claims 'this' isn't over. What isn't? Victoria Newman Abbott wants to know. Billy relays meeting 'this one' after surfing - when he was drunk - but thought of Vikki the entire time. WE didn't 'take it further' (than kissing), Chelsea points her finger - HE did. Your husband forced himself on me. When Billy claims it didn't happen, Chelsea undoes her coat - and the Abbott's gape at her bulging belly.

Nick's done with all Phyllis' stunts. As a kid, Avery was always second best to her sister - and won't be again. Nick's apology isn't necessary - it was fun - but it's over. Declining a ride home, Avery's also sorry things worked out like this - Phyllis will break Nick's heart.

Wanna go to the bedroom? Phyllis should - but Ronan's going home. He hopes Nick appreciates all the work she put into tonight - to get his attention. Phyllis denies this is a rebound thing - she's done with Nick. Giving her a kiss, Ronan wishes Phyllis a happy new year - and leaves her stunned and alone.

When Billy continues his denials, Chelsea insists she's carrying a baby HE created. THAT's why she's there - to show Billy what he's done. If he was so drunk, how can he remember NOT doing it? Billy may have been loaded - but he's no maniac. Chelsea's a con - a grifter - a liar. THIS is what he's capable of - THIS is what he's done, Chelsea gestures towards her belly as she addresses Vikki. Sure the DNA will prove Billy's the father, she vows to do right by this child.

Hands on her hips, Nikki actually came to tell Victor something important - but it isn't anymore. She's leaving alright - but first, congratulations (and a few choice words). In the hallway, Nikki loses her bravado - leaving Sharon to point out that she didn't accept Victor's proposal. Victor's protecting Nikki (but how does pushing her away accomplish that?). Urged to accept, Sharon wants to know the real reason Victor proposed.

In Jack's bedroom, Genevieve gets a call from Merna - who frets that there's a short in the alarm system - come home. Initially, wanting to stay with Jack (who's crashed out in bed), she agrees - don't worry. With a bit of luck, Jack might not even notices she's gone - and with a quick kiss, Genevieve leaves him - and Patty slips in.

Through the glass, Victor tells Sharon all the marriage will give her. What's in it for Victor? The comfort of knowing someone he trusts is watching out for him - he's always felt a deep connection to Sharon. Wear the ring - think of what it'll mean to Faith. Nick? Victor can ensure she's never parted from Faith again. Noah, Doris? They won't be a problem either.

Phyllis finds Nick at her door - what? they stare at one another.

Patty removes her coat and hat - climbs into bed to caress Jack. Seems Genevieve was her target - but what a delicious accident this turned out to be. Patty? a groggy Jack lifts his head.

Sighing, Jack goes back to sleep. It was just a dream, Patty gave Jack enough medicine for a horse. It was sweet while it lasted, she kisses his forehead and unzips her bag....

No - of course Vikki doesn't believe Billy would force himself on someone - but that doesn't mean nothing happened. Billy swears he doesn't remember - he hopes nothing happened. But he never forgot Vikki (who mopes that he might have a baby on the way).

I've never felt so lost in my life, Nikki turns up at Kay's door - for a comforting hug.

Now home, Sharon lets Adam in - you said you'd stay away. He blathers on about Nick's gorilla power plays. Oh how his heart is breaking - without Sharon he's broken inside. There must be a way he can be with her - and she can be with Faith. Let's think of a way - together. He then notices the ring - what's this?

We don't know a thing, Billy concludes - except a crazy con artist knows where we live. When Vikki wants to be alone, Billy retreats upstairs (where he'll be if she needs anything).

Is Nick there to look for Ronan? That's not too flattering to Avery. What does Nick want? Phyllis thinks he should go. OR - he could grab Phyllis and kiss her passionately.

Back at G-worm, Genevieve's assured that Gloria's food is not responsible for Jack's episode. She then approaches Ronan - is he available for private work? Her traumatized housekeeper had trouble with the alarm - then stepped out. Jack was suddenly overcome with exhaustion. Despite Collin being incarcerated down under, Genevieve believes him responsible - and poses a challenge - does Ronan want to help her figure out what's going on?

Jack awakens - ah - a dream. But he's puzzled to see Kyle's missing cat in the bed with him.

Yes - that's an engagement ring (Adam assumes Nick, the bastard, gave it to Sharon) Victor? Adam staggers out - without further word.

Kay suggests they find a meeting - or better yet, get Nikki to rehab. She's then stunned to hear that Victor proposed to Sharon - because she is 'young, vibrant and beautiful'. Kay finds it absurd - he's upset because of Deacon. That's why Nikki went to see Victor. What did Deacon do to Nikki? There IS no secret - Nikki's a fool (for letting Victor hurt her again). Refusing to stay the night, Nikki has no choice but to be 'fine'. Kay hugs her crying friend - as Victor, alone behind the glass, flashes back to a New Year's Eve with Nikki long ago. I'm still here for you - always will be, he whipsers - tears in his eyes.

Next: I'm not over you yet, Nick tells Phyllis that he has feelings for her ... Nobody's coming between me and my wife again - tell Victor Newman I said so, Billy tells Chelsea .... What's the matter with you? How can you even think about marrying the mother of my children, Nick confronts Victor.
