Nope - no mistake - Billy - you ARE the father. The doctor leaves Chelsea to give the Abbott's credit (for not tampering with the results). So - how is Billy gonna do right by this baby?
At the club's bar, Nikki chides her hubby to lighten up. Deacon orders drinks for him and his lovely wife. Tonic is a waste of glass space, Nikki slurs. Yeah - but Deacon's a lightweight. Why the visit to Victor? Secrets? After all we've been through? he pouts - then toasts to a match made in ... heaven. He sips - Nikki pauses - I can't do this.
Through the bars, Nick's not there to bail Adam out - nor does he wanna grab a burger. He's there to gloat - Adam finally screwed up (his CEO job).
At RS, Phyllis is on the phone - arranging more copies for a location that's sold out. Issue selling well? Mike's there to express friendship and concern - declaring war on Victor is a very bad idea.
Agreeing to be Victor's wife, Sharon's surprised - he wants to do it today??
The 'shake down' begins. Billy should be rotting in prison for what he did to Chelsea (who says he's dark and vicious beneath his humour). Vikki knows what Billy's capable of - and that Chelsea's a liar. Checking her phone, Vikki needs to take care of something. 'I'll see you at home' she mutters to Billy. Seconds later, Chelsea exits too - have a great day.
Saying she'll be under the table if she has one more drink, Nikki distracts Deacon with the news of Victor marrying his daughter in law. Deacon's drink empty, he accepts Nikki's (as he continues to fall for her drunken act)
Back at the jailhouse, Adam's confident he'll retain his CEO position - witnesses will verify that Sharon engaged HIM in conversation. Entrapment - plus, Sharon's lost all credibility with her decision to marry Victor. And that, dear brother, is the real reason Nick's there. Adam knows he's the one person who understands how Nick feels about the engagement.
Sharon doubts they can cut through the red tape. Maybe not today - but Victor can get it done tomorrow. He wants her to be protected and cared for - the sooner the better.
Why wait? Sharon agrees. Though she suspects he hasn't been entirely honest (about his reasons), Sharon wants to help Victor obtain whatever it is he's trying to accomplish (because of what he did for her and Faith). Off to get Faith, Sharon knows she and Nick have a lot to discuss.
Refusing to discuss Sharon with Adam, Nick points out that she didn't HAVE to enforce the restraining order (as she'd won custody). She got the both of us, Adam continues - and Victor got HER. His mustache must be twirling all on it's own. Nick has to agree - he does enjoy winning. The board won't 'throw' Adam out - they'll carry him around the conference room on their shoulders - once he sells BofN - and uses the money to buy distressed assets. Nick draws a blank look - when Adam wonders why he cares about Victor anyway - after what his father just did to him.
The Sharpe's are now in their suite - Nikki in a 'floaty' mood. Deacon denies he's 'floaty' - but his tolerance 'diminished' (so he'll take a shower). The water running, Nikki vows to find out what he knows about Diane's murder - on his laptop.
At home, Vikki's on the phone. She can't move up next week's appointment with the adoption agency to today. No - her feelings haven't changed - she wants a baby more than ever.
Billy's followed Chelsea to the CL's patio. Now that the shock's worn off, he wants to talk. Honestly, he doesn't remember that night. Chelsea does - vividly. It's not a crime to kiss a drunk tourist. Billy's confused - he can usually hold his liquor - did she slip something in his drink? There's no way he forced himself on her - tell me what happened that night.
Phyllis isn't scared of Victor (in his cell) - she told the truth. Mike warns that Victor's ring gives Sharon super powers. 'Scared' for Phyllis, he begs her to drop this 'tough girl shtick'. I love you! Watch your back.
Released, a well dressed Adam visits Victor. Sharon pressing charges (when she didn't have to) makes her Victor's shiny new robot toy. Victor doesn't control Sharon - he merely showed her the way. She's made some other important decisions, he hints.
When Sharon comes to the tackhouse for Faith, Nick reminds of Victor's involvement in Vikki losing custody of Reed. Sharon then announces that she and Victor have set a date - they're getting married tomorrow.
Chelsea relays the events of that evening - sometimes she and her friends do what they have to - to get by. From time to time, they help cops fill their quotas. Drugging and setting up strangers, Billy chuckles. Chelsea admits she seduced Billy - the sex was consensual (though she's sticking to her story - her word against his). Not so much anymore, now Billy's the smug one - wiping the smirk off her face - when he pulls out his tiny recorder.
The water still running, a towel clad Deacon creeps around behind Nikki (who's muttering 'come on' at his laptop). Grabbing a scarf from the wardrobe, Deacon wraps it around his hand - advancing quietly and menacingly.
Knock knock - Mom - are you in there? Hearing Vikki, Deacon darts back into the bathroom. Putting the laptop away, Nikki steps into the hallway. Vikki's tears tell her which way the DNA results went. I'm so so sorry ~hug~
This rape BS may have worked for Chelsea in the past - he knows how a rape victim behaves (courtesy of the first girl he ever loved). Rape victims don't flirt with their attacker. She's even managed to offend HIS low sense of decency. Yeah - well - Billy can run home to his wife - play the recording - THEN talk about the baby we made that night (Billy loses the smug smirk).
Back at the tackhouse, Nick sneers at the woman he hasn't known for years. First Adam - now his Dad. It's bad enough that Noah and Faith's grandpa will be behind bars for 25 years - but now he's their stepdad? Sharon's left a message for Noah to call her back. Nick reminds that Noah left GC to escape her drama. Of COURSE Sharon loves him (and will explain her reasons). Doris? Sharon admits she hasn't spoken to her yet. She hasn't even told .... Adam? Awesome judgment, Nick scoffs - our daughter's lucky to have you. I'll go get her for ya.
Congratulating Victor, Adam better go - he has big plans to attend to. Sounding equally triumphant, Victor has big plans too - he's marrying Sharon tomorrow (that sure shuts Adam down).
So son - by tomorrow night - Sharon will be my wife. Without further word, Adam exits - nearly mowing Mike down. Victor then updates Mike (who needs to make the arrangements). Mike's there because he received some info re: Mr Cheerful (Adam) and NE.
Billy scolds Chelsea - she had enough (the baby)- but went too far twisting the knife (in accusing him of rape). Chelsea thinks they're a lot alike - we had fun that night. Fun doesn't come cheap. Not even bothering to respond, Billy leaves.
Just one night with a stranger - and she gets pregnant (when Vikki and Billy tired so hard to 'grow their family'). When Deacon calls out for Nikki, Vikki leaves - assuring she'll be fine. Back in the suite, Nikki's summoned to the bed. Having Nikki right where he wants her, Deacon says there's something she needs to know.
Humbled by their rapt interest, Phyllis types to her restless readers - promising to bring them all the details of Sharon Newman Abbott Newman Newman's latest union.
I love you - have fun, Nick packs Faith off with Sharon. Oh we WILL, she gloats. Tell your groom he has one less son at NE, Nick growls in parting.
Mike may have been fired - but he still has his connections (who tell him that Adam plans to sell BofN). How to proceed? Do nothing at all, Victor instructs.
Played the recording, Vikki assures that she never believed Billy raped Chelsea. When he points out that he can't change the test results, Vikki confides that the adoption agency wanted to move the meeting up. She just can't get past how easily Chelsea got pregnant - while nothing's worked for HER. Both wish Vikki could carry Billy's baby.
At the bar, Adam gives Chelsea the cold shoulder (making it sound like he cares that she's tormenting his sister). And who's paying for the suite Chelsea's heading up to? Let's just say her lottery numbers came up - she'll be staying in GC for a long time.
You're not going anywhere (Deacon stops Nikki from getting him a refill) - not until he tells her something important. Agreeing to spoon, Nikki lasts about 20 seconds - before scurrying off to wash her face. And as Deacon frantically deleted files off his laptop, Nikki leaves the water running - as she pokes her head out to spy.
Next: Kay visits Neil - I came by to try and persuade you to come back to work .... If you want this baby out of your life ... That's the thing, Billy interrupts Chelsea's rant - I don't ... Can I help you? Lily giggles. Maybe you can help me - at Jimmy's, Cane squeezes into the booth - to kiss Lily.
My Thoughts: If Billy's so worried about Vikki being 'emotional', why isn't he with her? ... Why does Nick care about Victor and his company? Maybe because he and his kids own considerable shares ... Her slurring barely intelligible, Nikki refers to Sharon as 'that blonde' - who's 'not so blonde anymore'. Does it really matter what colour Sharon's hair is? She's never been as blonde as Nikki (who perhaps shouldn't have had her back to Deacon as she went through his computer) .... The doctor had the DNA test done at 2 different labs? Due to the 'circumstances'? How are these circumstances special? Did the Abbott's pay extra? Or are GC's taxpayers footin' the bill? ...... Of course Adam's bluffing - there WERE no witnesses to Sharon 'engaging' him in conversation. And to abide by the law, he should have ignored Sharon's engaging conversation and walked out immediately. Only in a GC courtroom, would two felons with Sharon and Adam's shared history - be left alone .... No wonder the cost of a suite at the GCAC is so high - everyone leaves the water running - the water bill must be staggering (at least Nikki conserves her vodka tonic by passing it to Deacon) ... Immediately as in today? Sharon blinks - guess she doesn't comprehend definition of 'immediately' .... Chelsea deserves to be ousted as a liar - did it not occur to her that a 'journalist' might have a tape recorder? She's lucky Billy doesn't charge her with defamation of character (since she's made no secret of her rape accusations against Billy) ... Billy better warn his newly reinstated editor in chief that his escapade with Chelsea's not to be included in her stories. Now that Chelsea's admitted (on tape no less!) to being part of an overseas scam - that involves the authorities wrongfully imprisoning unsuspecting tourists (many of whom are still languishing in filthy prisons), doesn't Billy 'the journalist' feel any obligation to report on it? But what's an international scandal - when you've got the Newman's!? ... Deacon obviously doesn't pay much attention during all those AA meetings - how many alcoholics have the sense to voluntarily cut themselves off before they wind up 'under the table'? ... I wonder how Lauren would feel about her husband shouting 'I love you' at Phyllis .... Mike's so busy carrying out Victor's bidding - that he has no time to search for the little brother who's feared to have run off after snapping (due to the pressure of the wedding) .... Oh yeah - Victor's ring really gives Sharon 'super powers' - like the ability to leap tall penises in a single bound. Have a great weekend.
