Drying glasses behind the bar, Cane greets Lily (who flirts a bit about their date - then heads to the ladies room). Chelsea arrives - to a much less friendly reception. When Cane pushes OJ instead of soda, she groans - you people take babies way too seriously.
So what are Billy's parental rights? None - before it's born, Mike explains that he won't have rights unless the court gives them to him. But since the DNA shows the baby's his - they take it to the Judge - see what he can do.
For the sake of public welfare, Phyllis hopes Sharon marrying his DAD doesn't send Adam on a rampage. Adam's OK with it - but Nick, not so much. Maybe he can use the 500 mil he won off Daddy - to build a shrine to the love of his life (and that ain't Phyllis by the way). Unperturbed, Phyllis takes a call - Ronan summons her to the station (for a story). Enjoy your cup of misery, Phyllis marches out of CL's. That leaves Adam to bump into Nick - got any gift ideas for Dad and our new step mom? They spar a bit more - does Nick have anything in his life he'd fight for? Nick couldn't care less what Adam and his father do.
You married Sharon?! After what I told you?! Nikki knows the truth now! That's why she's here! What truth? All hell breaks loose when a siren goes off - Victor's hustled one way - Nikki and Sharon are left trapped together. Yup - it's a lockdown.
Things go about as well as you'd expect - with the former and the new Mrs Victor Newman. The weak Sharon's using Victor to save her from reality - from begging Nick to take her back - from that scum Adam - and herself! Sharon looks down HER nose - Nikki's an alcoholic - married to a bartender. Remind me again how strong and independent you are???? Lockdown over, Sharon obediently leaves - Nikki protests then follows.
On the patio, Nick hears a news report online - Sharon married Victor Newman (after being wed to both her new stepsons). A few feet away, Adam listens too.
After seeing the footage, Paul never imagined THIS scenario. Walsh arrives - unimpressed to find Ronan in his former office. Phyllis barges in - you have film? Ronan and Paul agree - she deserves to be here. The film of Diane and Nikki duking it out is played once more.
Back at Jimmy's, Lily gripes about Chelsea (who's sipping her OJ) - clearly she's just here to torture two people who've been through enough. You picked the wrong mug for your con, Cane whispers in Chelsea's ear (then leaves her to look like she's inclined to agree).
Showing Mike out, Billy and Vikki pressure Mike to establish rights to the baby they're both worried about. Mike WILL keep it confidential - even from Victor. Outside, he gets a call - from Victor of course (you need to come to the prison - NOW) ~click~
After the ground n pound footage ends, Ronan and Paul claims it's self defense - Victor's confession? A complete lie.
Back at CL's, Adam can't believe that Sharon and Victor got married - helluva feeling isn't it? The brothers rehash their relationships with Sharon - blaming one another for her marrying Daddy Dearest. Phyllis calls Nick - get to the station as fast as you can.
At G-worm's bar, Nikki admires all the pretty bottles in a row. A drink placed in front of her, Nikki makes a call first - hi, it's me - I need you, I'm in trouble.
Sharon runs into the ranch - babbling that Faith and the nanny aren't at her place! That's because they're here. Hugging Faith, Sharon's relieved - then shocked when Bonnie explains that Victor had the staff move her and Faith's things to the main house.
The Ashby's are out for a night time skate on the pond - teasing and laughing (mostly at Cane's lack of skill).
At Jimmy's, Adam NEEDS Scotch please - leave the bottle. Chelsea loved customers like him. Ever want something that you shouldn't? Story of her life - like weird food cravings. It was a rhetorical question, Adam skulks off. The Abbott's arrival puts a smile on her face.
The staff all lined up, Sharon thanks them for welcoming her - again. The chef would like a list of her and Faith's favourite foods. Is there anything else they can do for Mrs Newman. Yes - go home.
Arriving as summoned, Mike notices Victor's wedding band - so, he went ahead with it. Victor explains that Deacon - the obnoxious SOB - showed him pictures that confirmed his suspicions (that Nikki killed Diane). Whatever she remembers of that night, Victor orders Mike - to order Nikki - to keep her mouth shut.
Joined by Kay, Nikki assures that she's drinking soda. Take a sip. Kay does. Nikki hasn't had a drink since Christmas Eve - but sure would love one tonight. Nikki needs her friend more than ever - Victor's married Sharon. Oh, and she killed Diane.
Please Nikki - don't do anything I can't fix, Victor frets to himself. Meanwhile, Nick's at the station - updated that his mother killed Diane - in self defense. Mike agrees - and would like his client released tonight. Not so fast - Walsh wants the film tested (to ensure it wasn't altered). And there must be a reason why Victor confessed. First, he wants to talk to Deacon, then Nikki.
Back at G-worm, Nikki confides she was so drunk she didn't remember anything of that night. I killed someone, she struggles with the guilt. You were fighting for your life - for everyone who loves you, Kay just thanks God she survived. Diane created her own hell.
Sharon hopes the maid understands - Faith needs to adjust. They're looking forward to time alone - good night Bonnie.
Jocularity at the juke box comes to an abrupt halt. The Abbott's look horrified - when Chelsea loudly orders a beer to go with her burger.
Billy races over to intercept - no beer for you. Excuse me?! You can't be serious, Vikki joins in to lecture. If Chelsea wanted a pack of cigarettes, it'd be none of their business. HER body - HER business. Too bad they can't watch her every move. Maybe we can. You're gonna move in with us, the Abbott's announce.
At the station, Nick leaves a 'call me' message for Vikki. All are eager to find Nikki - while Mike's off to see Victor. Nick now realizes that Phyllis was right - Victor confessed to protect Nikki (whom he loves more than his freedom). She loves him even more, Phyllis concludes. And as Deacon's escorted in, Nick's restrained by Paul and Ronan.
Kay and Nikki go over the whole stupid scenario (lying to protect one another). Too bad they didn't sit down and have an honest conversation. They torture - then save one another. And as Kay hops up - let's go see Victor, Nikki says it's too late - he married Sharon.
Sharon and Faith lay in the bed Victor's shared with so many other women. So much has changed - we're staying her for a little while, Sharon assures Faith she'll have the same toys - and each other. Mommy just wants to do the right thing for Faith (and hopes she did).
Drinking Scotch, Adam flashes back to romantic time in New Orleans (with Sharon) - then abruptly marches out.
Taking a break, the Ashby's enjoy hot chocolate, snacks - and each other. They're connected by more than the twins. Neither ever stopped loving the other.
This place is like an old TV show, Chelsea wonders if Billy fills his pipe while Vikki fetches his slippers. This is SO not happening. Yeah well - Billy paid her tab at the club (and won't open his wallet again). They keeping you here against your will too? she coos at Keeley (who growls on cue). As Billy takes Chelsea's suitcase to the garage apartment - and Vikki goes for antacids, Chelsea confides in the dog - you don't like me now? Wait til I'm done with these people.
A sad Adam looks down at Sharon and Faith asleep in bed. Tenderly covering them both with blankets, he sighs and exits.
Mike confirms - it's true - Nikki killed Diane. Self de fence. Nikki's gonna be safe. Thank God, Victor's relieved.
Still at the station, Phyllis and Nick are busy trying to track Nikki down by phone. There's an APB out on Nikki, Ronan announces. Phyllis sounds concerned - the cops know she's fragile right? All heading out to search, they're stunned when Nikki arrives (with Kay) to turn herself in.
Next: The two of you are ganging up against me? We just staged a friendly little intervention, Genevieve (with Ashley) smiles at Jack.... DA Walsh interrogates - did you pay Deacon Sharpe to create that footage? NO! Nikki yelps. Now you're just fishing, Mike's annoyed ... Do we have a deal or not? Adam asks Tucker.
My Thoughts: <whine>Sorry for the lack of screen caps this week. I got a new phone - an LG with an 8 MP camera - and I absolutely HATE it. Shoulda saved a while longer and put the money towards a new iPhone. Of course the Wind salespunk didn't mention that the 15 day return policy was void after I used 30 minutes of talk time. I'm sure it's in the fine print tho </whine>... Given her secrecy regarding Devon, Kay's a fine one to talk about trust and truth ... Sharon hopes the staff understands - that she just wants an evening alone? Perhaps the staff doesn't understand why she'd marry her twice over former father in law (and I sure don't understand how Adam snuck past security and up to the bedroom). Sharon sure is a heavy sleeper .... Yes, please Nikki - don't do anything Victor can't fix (cause he's SO good at 'fixing' things) ... Keeping an innocent man behind bars? Surprising that Walsh didn't mention Victor's obstruction of justice - and perjury ... Really? Again? The writers can't think of ANYTHING else to do with the phenomenal Billy Miller? This is the third kid (out of THREE) he's sought legal counsel on - his next tattoo should read 'what are my parental rights'? And only one behind, Vikki's 2 for 2 with losing custody kids ... The Abbott's are SO easy. They should have just pulled up barstools next to Chelsea and watched her squirm ... WHY would you do that?! Nikki screeches at Victor (has she forgotten that Sharon's young, beautiful and vibrant. The number of lockdowns is only surpassed by the number of stalled elevators ... The conflict's confined (or something to that effect) - who cares? A squabble over dropped soap can't compare to the conflict of pitting Mrs Newman vs Mrs Newman in a locked room ... Why couldn't Victor be locked down in the visiting room? He seems to spend all his time there anyway .... You're an alcoholic! Sharon smugly sneers (though it's considered a disease - just like *ahem* depression and mental instability) .... All the bedrooms and suites in the ranch, and Sharon picks the one Victor's shared with countless other wives? Faith has a lot to adjust to? Like calling Grandfather Father? It's easier ... You used your daughter to control Sharon, Adam actually has the nerve to say to Nick .... Kudos to Phyllis - for managing to keep a straight face - and sounding concerned about Nikki being 'fragile' (when she used that word in reference to Sharon, she'd always have her balled little fists in front of her face) .... 'I killed someone', Nikki wails - like it's her first 'kill' (when it's actually the 3rd life she's taken - though neither were cold blooded murders) .... I guess there's another bartender at Jimmy's (even though the place is empty) - cause Cane couldn't very well go off skating with Lily - and leave the bar full of customers (and his jacket didn't just fly over the counter into his arms all by it's self). At least Jimmy's bartenders are more friendly than G-worm's (the guy who served Nikki her drink didn't even make eye contact - you'd think he'd be working a bit harder for a tip)..... You need to come to the prison NOW, Victor orders (once, just once, I'd like to hear Mikey say - It's after hours - please call my office in the morning) ... Skating Lily? Really? Isn't that the same pond Noah fell through? Maybe even the one her BFF and her Daddy both drowned in. Tip: If it's not cold enough to see your breath - it's not cold enough to freeze a pond. Oh well - hot chocolate and cookies make it all better ... Have a great weekend! |
