The fire still roaring, Victor and Nikki awaken the next morning in bed. Oh how beautiful 'my darling' is ~kiss~ Downstairs, the earring earring is still on the carpet.
Anita's at CL's - hoping to find her lost earring. Where are you Chelsea? We have work to do. Stop whatever you're doing and call me ~click~
The Abbott's come down - joking about their shuffleboard bowling bet. Grabbing her belly, Chelsea interrupts their kiss. Is she really gonna pull her fake labour shtick right now? Billy's unimpressed.
Jack's male nurse has him in a wheelchair - the physical therapist will be there soon. Ashley arrives - thrilled to see him 'up and about' - with work from his desk and his mail (including Genevieve's returned engagement ring).
The Parisian bartender serves another glass of bubbly - and asks the sad American beauty what's wrong. Gen's mistake cost her two men; important in her life. The bartender knows that men are forgiving - if she's truly sorry.
Ow! Sharon manages to shock herself jamming a screwdriver into the fuse box (as the water heater isn't working). Claiming he can fix it blindfolded, Adam succeeds in dumping the tools on the floor. I'm FINE - I can do this on my own - I don't need your help, he snaps. Screwdriver in hand, he heads for the fusebox.
Victor and Nikki snuggle in bed. How can the day get any better? London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Kenya, Nikki goes through the brochures Victor gives her. She'd love a trip around the world with Victor - but hesitates - because of Vikki. Victor understands ~kiss~ Nikki has something for him too. Believing that Victor had nothing to do with Chelsea and Anita, she's going to go tell Vikki.
Vikki at her side, Chelsea reports that the baby kicked. It did it again - sooo weird. Feel - she grabs Vikki's hand. Wow - he's so strong, Vikki squeals with delight (then disappoints Chelsea by returning to Billy's side).
Finding the bad breaker, Adam apologizes to Sharon too - it's 'not OK' that he's taking his anger out on her. Again asked to leave, Sharon insists he needs help - and is disappointed to hear he's hired a 'stranger'. 'Poor blind Adam' doesn't want Sharon's pity - he wants her to leave.
Vikki's hands are still on Chelsea's belly when Anita joins them (to send her off to make tea). Billy on the phone, Chelsea claims having them feel the 'ankle biter' squirm wasn't a trick - she wanted to share it with Billy ... and Vikki. Good - that'll keep em from figuring out what we're up to. Old man Newman won't cough up anymore money - we've gotta get it out of Billy. We're gonna cash in on this winning lottery ticket. When Billy rejoins them, Anita tries to hustle Chelsea out to get prenatal vitamins. Billy ends up taking her - leaving Vikki to wonder how Anita knew the man in the photo was her father. And as she admires a photo of Reed, Vikki continues to look suspicious.
Visiting Victor, Kay boasts about sending the Ashby party off to France (which leads to talk of Genevieve not being invited). Cane can't forgive her for what she did to Jack. Jack won't either, Victor's sure.
Hurriedly putting the engagement ring aside, an agitated Jack wants to focus on work - or where the heck his therapist is. As head of the family, Jack has responsibilities. Just check on my therapist, Jack insists. Now alone, he gets a call from Genevieve - please don't hang up, she pleads.
Back in Kansas, Adam informs the electrician will be there later - and knows someone who WILL change Sharon's mind (on going home to her family) - Faith.
Asking how Jack is, Genevieve explains that she couldn't marry him - after what she did. Jack agrees (he DOES deserve better). I'm so sorry, Gen cries. For what part? All of it. Especially for hurting Jack (whom she still loves). Please don't hang up - I can't leave it like this. I can ~click~ It was nothing, Jack informs Ashley. Explaining that Genevieve got him to show her his bid (for BofN), Jack wants Ash to check with the lawyers - see if they have a case. His 'end game'? To show Genevieve how it feels - to have her prize taken away from her.
At CL's, Chelsea claims the baby's trying to get Billy's attention - it's OK to touch me. That last time he did that she made nasty accusations. Chelsea was freaked out - she learned it from her Mom (and admits her father's not a missionary). Parents do crazy things. Billy knows all about that - and yes, Jill's very protective (but he was thinking of Vikki's old man - TGVN).
Kay relays that Genevieve didn't make her presence known. Victor assumes she must be feeling very alone (losing Jack and Cane). She's vulnerable, Kay agrees - then taking the hint (Victor has business to attend to), spots something - is this for Nikki??
Let in by Anita, Nikki asks about the earring Anita lost (which, alas, seems to be gone for good). When Vikki joins them, Anita leaves them to chat - about Nikki's nice evening with Victor (who looked her in the eye and said he had nothing to do with Chelsea and Anita being here). Sorry - but after all Victor's done to her and Billy - Vikki doesn't believe him.
When Jack's physical therapist, Megan, arrives, Ashley leaves. A grumpy Jack is sure he'll walk again. How many of the patients she's worked with have? Silence.
Billy disses Victor to Chelsea (who's heard about him). He's a megalomaniac - heavy on the maniac. They then discuss Anita, who likes to be in charge. And after Chelsea lets it slip that her mother was never really gonna take away from GC, Billy reminds that she lead them to believe her mother didn't care. Chelsea shoulda knows her mother would show up - and try to run her life.
Vikki suggests they agree to disagree (on believing Victor). Nikki persists - Victor thought he was doing what's best for Vikki. She doubted him too - until he convinced her otherwise. He's never lied to you, Vikki scoffs. Please - trust your father - believe he wouldn't lie to us.
Kay admires the scarf Victor bought for Nikki. But gifts won't hold them together this time. No lectures, Victor will tell Nikki she came by. Victor shows Kay out - then makes a call - Genevieve's in Paris - find out where ~click~
As Sharon ends a video chat with Faith, Adam appears - she misses her Mommy. You miss her too. Nick's gonna bring her for a visit, Sharon won't leave Adam alone. But he's blind - for life - and must learn to take care of himself. Faith's had too much time taken away from her Mommy - he, of all people, has no right to take more time. OK - Sharon suddenly agrees to go home to Faith.
As Ashley returns, Megan exits - someone will be in shortly to bring him to therapy. So - did Ashley talk to the lawyers? Does Jack have a case against Genevieve?
Victor's off to Paris - to see Genevieve. No, he can't wait until she comes back to GC (she's vulnerable NOW). Nikki hates to see him go - and look what Gen did to Jack - she has no idea what BofN means to him - that he and Vikki created it together. No, she didn't get through to Vikki - but will have by the time Victor gets back. There - still - lies the earring.
Meanwhile, Billy and Vikki agree that Nikki has a blind spot when it comes to Victor. If only she was right. It'll come crashing down on her - when she realizes Victor's lying. When Vikki says she's already in love with the baby Chelsea's carrying, Billy relays her confession (about her 'missionary' father) - so isn't sure mother and daughter are 'working' together. And when Anita joins them on cue, Billy pins her down for a little 'talk'.
You should go, Adam kisses Sharon at the front door - then is left to mope and stumble around alone. Frustrated, he shoves the toolbox off the kitchen table.
Sitting Anita down, Billy thinks she and Chelsea deserve a comfortable life. He can smooth the edges - find them a comfortable place - far away from GC. Anita will think about it.
Back in his room, Ashley tells Jack that he has a strong case against Genevieve. Refusing to focus on his recovery instead, Jack insists they get started on it NOW.
On the phone with Davis, Genevieve insists there must be someone she can hire to run BofN. She's meeting someone in Paris - but get a list.
At the airport, Victor's on the phone too - updating Mike that he's on his way to see Genevieve - to get BofN back. Nikki's knows about it.
Admiring her new scarf, Nikki spots the earring on the carpet - and looks mighty pissed off (immediately knowing who's it is - and what it implies).
Next: Adam feels a hand on his shoulder. Mom? He draws Hope closer .... I think it might be in here, Nikki dumps Anita's purse out onto G-worm's table. What are you doing!? Anita snaps .... You've come all this way to schmooze me. Please - schmooze me, Genevieve challenges Victor.
My Thoughts: Line of the day goes to Adam: That's not how I *see* it. Oh really? How DO you see it? ... Understatement of the day goes to Nikki - her gift isn't 'quite as grand'? No - her going across town - to persuade Vikki that her lying father isn't lying - certainly isn't as 'grand' as a trip around the world (of course it'll be 'just the two of us' - who'd wanna go with them?) ... The logs in the fireplace must be extra slow burning ones ... Looking almost ready to deliver, Chelsea's only feeling the baby kick NOW? ... Nice how Anita makes her pregnant daughter get up and move down the couch - cause she can't walk the 3 feet to sit on the other side. Anita's botox'd lips so distracting I can barely watch her scenes. And why are they spending more time in the Abbott's living quarters than the apartment above the garage? Even Sam wasn't around as much. And where's Keeley? ... Given how much the Newman's are in the press, why would Vikki find it odd that Anita guesses Victor's her father? ... Good thing Segundo is never inside the ranch (it might be dangerous if he ate that tacky earring) ... Why did Genevieve return Jack's ring in a necklace box? ... Hey Jack - it's your legs that don't work - if you're so eager - call the lawyers yourself ... It's great that Sharon's finally agreed to leave Kansas - but I'm sure it would have been sufficient for her to agree - and stay a day or two longer - until Adam's hired help arrived. Now she's left him alone with no hot water (and absolutely NO counter space whatsoever. Every square inch of surface is cluttered. Who knew Hope was a hoarder?).
