Carting around a noisy Lucy, Daniel leaves a 'call me' message for Phyllis - where IS your Mommy? He then calls Nick (who's on his way over there to watch the girls tonight). Where IS she? Daniel asks.
You admit it - you cheated all 'those people'. George saw and grabbed an opportunity - it was business. You're not sorry - for what you did to them - or me, Phyllis is sad to realize George doesn't want to be a decent human being. He admitted his guilt - what more does Phyllis want?? Daddy - how can you say you were guilty? Avery finally enters.
Angie has a whole box of pink kitchenware. Kevin will help unpack later maybe. Yeah - he's OK - just a lot on is mind. Wanna talk? Angie chirps - they don't HAVE to JUST share the house - can't we be friends?
At G-worm, Mike ends his call with Gloria to update Lauren. Fen's safer staying with his her (under guard and extra locks). Jill can't believe Daisy's out. No, Phyllis doesn't know - and Mike's off to tell Kevin in person. Since Jill's staying, her sister buys the vodka martini's. A gun in her purse, Lauren growls when Daisy comes over to say 'hello'. You stay away from me!
Of course we're friends - but Kevin knows she won't like it (that's he's working on a plan to end the marriage). The hearing (and knowing Daisy could be released soon) leave Kevin determined to get life back under control - WITHOUT anyone getting hurt this time.
Stay out of my sight - before I do something you'll regret, Lauren snarls. Having time (in prison) to reflect on the horrible things she did, Daisy hoped they could put it behind them. Jill's turn to hiss - what part of get lost are you not getting!? Daisy's free now - Lauren (for her own sake) better get used to it. Shaking and 'scared to death', Lauren shows Jill the gun in her purse.
Told it's an emergency (and updated on Daisy), Nick stuns Daniel with Phyllis' whereabouts. Dying? I've never even met the guy - Daniel's off to Connecticut too.
Daddy? George didn't know Avery was there. Course not - or he wouldn't admit the truth. No - what Avery heard was their father 'placating' Phyllis. To make her feel better, right? Tell her! Phyllis demands. George DID say it for Phyllis' peace of mind. No - she got honesty - the truth - a deathbed confession. You both know it was, Phyllis insists.
Angie serves her hubby a beer - and some reassurance (that he DOES step up). No - Kevin shoulda stood up to her father. He's great - and anyone who says otherwise Angie's gonna have em whacked. You're OK too, Kevin gives her a hug - which Mike walks in on. Hope I'm not interrupting.
Lauren knows exactly what she's doing - has a permit for the gun (which is locked in her office when not on her). No - Mike doesn't know, a guilty Lauren admits.
Nick now at the penthouse - he understands why Daniel must go. And go he does - to say hello and good bye to his grandfather.
Surely Avery's been around enough condemned men to know George's confession wasn't a lie. Don't listen, George implores of Avery - she's trying to hurt us. Hey Dad - you can die now - spend eternity in hell - and after Phyllis storms out, an emotional Avery confronts her father - she turned her back on her sister - became a champion for the unjustly convicted! Oh God - how many guilty people did she set free? Her life is based on a lie - HIS lie. Everything I did was for you - does Mommy know? Oh God, Avery runs out in tears - to tell Phyllis that Mommy knew too - all these years he lied. 'Done', Phyllis is going home - to her family (leaving Avery a weeping mess).
The Fisher's continue the charade - Mike woulda really gotten an 'eyeful' if he came a few minutes later. She's something, isn't she? Kevin quips (as Angie leaves Mike to deliver the bad news; Daisy's free). Now what? Protecting those Daisy might hurt - like Lauren (who's 'brave front' Mike's not buyin').
Back at G-worm, Lauren declares Mike logical - which makes him a great lawyer and husband - but Lauren can't be logical when it comes to Daisy. The gun makes things bearable.
Daisy shows up at the penthouse - with papers giving her unrestricted access to Lucy. Refusing to let her in (to do things the 'nice' way), Nick slams the door in her face. We'll see about that, she mutters.
Having unburdened herself, Avery encourages Phyllis to do the same - tell him how badly he hurt you - what this did to you.
The girls creeping back in, George hopes they're willing to listen to reason. No Daddy - Avery wants him to listen to Phyllis (who accuses him of taking her family, her life away). Blah blah - You. Ruined. My. Life - YOU. Did. This. To. Me! Phyllis is glad Avery finally knows. Don't go like this, George pleads - I'm dying. You've been dead to me for years, Phyllis marches out. Was it worth it Daddy? Making me hate her all these years? Avery exits crying.
Mike has something else to discuss - he wants an explanation for Kevin leaving Chloe to marry the mob. Does Angelo have something on you? Together we can take him. Kevin's where he wants to be - but calls him back to say 'thanks for caring'. If anything ever happened to you .... Mike would never hear the end of it from Gloria. Eavesdropping, Angie watches him leave.
Thinking Lauren lucky to have a perfect husband, Jill's had a con man - a playboy - a bigamist... But at least she doesn't have a gun in her purse. Lauren wants the truth - is it a mistake?
Clasping Lauren's hand, Jill thinks she has a right to feel safe - and Daisy IS a threat. But - tell Mike about the gun (which he won't hear about from Jill). Hear about what? Mike appears to ask.
Nick isn't thrilled when a smug Daisy returns - with an officer. Is there a Lucy Carter here? He's there to enforce a court order.
Avery calls her mother - we need to talk. The nurse summons her - you should be with him now. Is it time? Avery whimpers. Phyllis doubts Lydia cares - not being there is her final statement to George. Open your eyes. She knew what was going on. Yes, Phyllis CAN let Daddy die alone - and Avery does NOT have to go in there.
Talking about family, Angie's sorry for coming between Kevvie and the people he loves (which is tearing him up). Playing house isn't fun for her (if it's not fun for Kev). What can Angie do to make it right for him? No - Kevin wants to make this right for both of them.
Just girl talk, Jill claims (when Mike wants in on the secret). It's nothing - just two sisters bonding, a tipsy Lauren assures Mike that everything's fine (while Jill looks worried).
Before Avery can convince Phyllis to go back in, the nurse rejoins them to say 'he's gone'. Bursting into tears, Avery hopes Phyllis can forgive her for all she's done. Phyllis can put it behind her - we don't have to hurt each other anymore. Avery's afraid it's too late for that - she got Daisy released from prison - today. Phyllis gasps - OMG. If that psychotic freak gets her hands on my kid, it's WAR with us! she marches out.
Hi baby. Mommy's back. Nick and the officer watch on as Daisy coos to Lucy.
After George's body is wheeled out, Avery leaves. Entering the room, the nurse tells Daniel he's too late - then leaves him to go through the cardboard box (which includes a framed photo of the two young sisters).
Next: I'm not allowing Lucy to be raised by that psychotic criminal, Phyllis vows to Nick ... Daisy scoffs at Avery - So you're dropping me as a client because suddenly you feel guilty about screwing over your sister?.... Hey - what's wrong (Vikki and Billy find Nick at their door). It's Lucy - she's fine - but we need to talk.
My Thoughts: How on earth did Daisy get 'unrestricted access' to a kid she abandoned? Who gets that? Couldn't that allow more visitation than joint custody? Daisy's parental rights have NOT been reinstated as yet. Even IF they had, a schedule would still need to be in place - or reasonable notice given - and said access would NOT need to take place in Phyllis' home. Daisy would have to set up her OWN court-approved location for visitation. Where's she staying? Where'd she get the nice clothes from? ... Who'd have thought Mike would ever be described as the 'perfect husband'? But why isn't he filing a restraining order against Daisy? Why hasn't Daniel filed a restaining order against the woman who raped him - then left him for dead at the side of the road? ... How is Fen safer with Gloria? She's a mobster's moll who spends most of her time behind a bar ... Given their ties to the mob, shouldn't the Fishers at least lock their front door? (especially with Kevvie's psychotic sister on the loose)? ... Yeah - Lauren and Jill really need to argue about who's 'buyin'? Both are rollin' in dough ... Lauren's drunk - and has a gun in her flimsy purse - I'd be pretty nervous if I was dining at a nearby table ... YOU - Made - me - like - this. Ugh - I'm so tired of hearing Phyllis say that. Made you like what?? Is she admitting to some character flaws? Didn't she fist her little hands and tell Nick the exact same thing once (or twice)? I can barely muster any interest in George Summer's daughters - never mind him. |
