Today's Spoiler

Never mind the death of Phyllis' father - back at the penthouse, her only concern is the psycho freak Avery got released (who now has unrestricted access to Lucy). She hasn't been here this morning, Nick's sorry he wasn't able to keep Daisy away. It's not happening, Phyllis vows.

At CL's, Daisy's on the phone arranging to see an apartment (as she's vacated her last residence). Sorry to hear Avery had a family emergency, Daisy raves about how amazing it was to hold Lucy. They'll soon be together always - and it's all thanks to Avery (who now feels taking her on as a client was a mistake - she can't represent Daisy anymore).

Lauren returns home (from giving the school instructions) - reassuring Mike that they'll deal with it (Daisy's release). He's come up with some ideas (which he'll share when he gets back). We'll handle it together, the Baldwin's repeat.

Also at home, the Abbott's are feeling happily 'knocked up'. Hoping Chelsea hasn't changed her mind, Billy wastes no time asking her.

Rubbing her belly, Chelsea hasn't changed her mind - signing the 'freeloader' over to the Abbott's is the right thing to do. This kid won't be scamming people or running from the cops (and she won't be either). You won't have to go through anything alone, Vikki assures.

Lucy sleeping, Phyllis continues to gripe about the lady in the orange jumpsuit (who doesn't care about her). Updated (that Nick updated Daniel) Phyllis didn't see him on her flight home - maybe he changed his mind. Taking the hint (that Phyllis wants to be alone) Nick leaves her (to leave Daniel a message - we should talk).

You're dropping me as a client cause you suddenly feel guilty about screwing over your sister? Sweet - but Daisy no longer needs Avery (who looks ill at the thought of mother and daughter being 'together forever'). I win, Daisy gloats.

Back from a doctor's appointment, the Abbott's and Chelsea all gush over the sonogram photo. Agreeing to see a nutritionist, Chelsea's smile fades - when Vikki raves about the three of them giving this baby the very best.

Mike's home; apartment 632 - with travel destination DVD's. Oh how Lauren loves her 'cute' hubby - but she's not running away from Daisy; now or ever.

Meanwhile, Daisy's checking out apartment 361 - which she can move into today. It's the perfect place for me and my daughter, Daisy smiles at her new landlord.

On the patio, Avery's on the phone with her Mom - no, she's NOT coming home for the service. Asking for info Phyllis isn't ready to share, Nick's told that she was right all along - Phyllis had every right to wipe us from her life and start a new one.

At the penthouse, Daniel and Phyllis are on the same page re: Lucy/Daisy. Updated on Daniel's trip to Connecticut, Phyllis is sorry she lied - is he upset? Sure, he had a 'right to know' - but having Daniel with her is the last thing Phyllis wanted.

After THIS appointment, Vikki now feels like this baby's mother. He won't take Lucy's place - but will be loved forever - as his own special person. The giggling Abbott's run upstairs - so Billy can show Vikki how loved and wanted SHE is.

So Phyllis isn't the enemy anymore? Avery believed her parents lies - couldn't imagine her father cheating all those people (so lost her sister). Phyllis saw her parents for who they were - and paid for it. Nick knows they both hurt Phyllis. Because of their fling - and Avery becoming involved with Lucy, Nick doesn't see a way back for the sisters.

What the hell are you doing here? Phyllis relays her father's first words to her (after years). Finally he admitted what he did (and finally Phyllis tells Daniel). He was a bad, bad man - who had no regrets when he died (and neither did Phyllis).

It's a vacation - not Mike trying to save Lauren from a meltdown. Yeah, well - if he just wants to see her in a bikini, Lauren can just go throw one on. She's furious that Daisy's free - but won't let it own her. Not blaming Mike, Lauren lists others responsible (ending with Phyllis and Avery). Her previous reaction recalled, Lauren flashes back to firing the gun (at the range) - and promises that Daisy will never beat her again.

Lucy can never live with Daisy. Nick wasn't thrilled when Phyllis took her from Vikki and Billy - but no one can argue she's not loved. Avery explains that 'the system' likes to keep nuclear families intact. Phyllis only got custody because Daisy was incarcerated - now, her parental rights will be reinstated. Fearing Phyllis may not survive losing Lucy, Avery asks Nick to look after her. He won't screw up again (letting Phyllis think he's not on her side).

Phyllis explains that George being an SOB doesn't reflect on Daniel (who feels it's a 'whole part' of his life he wasn't told about). But WHY should Phyllis be more 'forthcoming'? Because Daniel's so 'adult'? So adult he refused to be a father? Unapologetic that she tried to shield Daniel from a liar and thief, Phyllis needs to know - is Daniel a kid she needs to shield - or an adult who's gonna step up? Clearly it's NOT time to have this discussion, Daniel leaves Phyllis to mope.

After a 'Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am', the Abbott's are running out the front door (to play video games) when they bump into Nick - who needs to talk - about Lucy.

At CL's, Avery bumps into Daniel (who's sorry about her father - but doesn't wanna talk). Lucy's in trouble - you're the only one who can help her, he's told.

Oh so big and oh so pretty, Lucy bursts into tears at the news that Phyllis will always be here for her. Daisy shows up at the door with a cop, paperwork - and 'good news' - she officially has custody of her daughter again.

Mike's arms wrapped around her, Lauren assures she's perfectly calm. It appears so, Mike agrees - at home - where they won't run into Daisy. Swearing she's OK, Lauren worries about poor Lucy (who's world is being turned upside down - again).

Updated by Nick, the Abbott's also worry about Lucy. If only Billy went through the proper channels - if only Phyllis listened to her son's wishes. Nick defends Phyllis (who believed Daisy would be locked up for decades). 'Mom' holds all the cards, Billy concludes sadly (as Chelsea listens).

Avery insists on talking about her 'niece' with Daniel. You can't stand to be in the same room with Daisy - but are willing to let Lucy spend a lifetime with her!? No - Daniel didn't 'make this mess' - OR 'have a choice' - but needs to 'step up' already - take responsibility for the child he fathered (or regret it for the rest of his life).

Free - just like Phyllis promised (even though she stopped paying the legal fees), Daisy's there to get her daughter. Phyllis reminds that she stood by Daisy when no one else did - then tries to identify with her - and does she really want to be 'saddled' with a child? She's MY daughter - NOT yours. Wait! Where are you living? You have diapers - a crib? Phyllis hands Lucy over - take this - and this! (she jams blankets and stuffed animals). Let's not confuse her. Yeah - like you care about confusing her, Phyllis rattles off instructions (not needed - Lucy has her real Mom now). I'll see you soon, Phyllis bleats out the door after them - then pounds on her front door sobbing.

Next: Nikki lashes out at Victor. Am I supposed to overlook that you lied to my face? Just because I know you can be a bastard? ... Sarge badgers Jack (as he struggles to remain standing - his arms shaking on the bars) You need to do this MY way - or we end it! ... Genevieve makes an announcement to Vikki - I want YOU to be CEO of Beauty of Nature.

My Thoughts: I'd never hit you, Phyllis tells Nick (except for the odd slap or shove over the years) .. Guess Chelsea doesn't see the irony - calling her baby a 'freeloader' (while the Abbott's are providing food, clothing and the roof over her head) ..... Irony must be today's theme - Phyllis calls Daisy a psychotic criminal/ a lady in an orange jumpsuit (true - but she's no stranger to the orange jumpsuit herself) ... Great security - the landlord obviously had NO interest in checking out Daisy's references - employment history - credit rating - or, most importantly, the last 'residence' she 'already vacated'. Guess he doesn't read the newspapers either ... And how is it that a single mother with no job or money qualifies for an apartment in the same zip code as the Baldwin's; a high priced attorney and the owner/CEO of a huge retail chain (not to mention NE board member)? How will Daisy pay the rent? She hasn't even had time to apply for welfare yet ... No matter how convincing she is, Daisy's choice of residence alone is proof that she hasn't changed ... Too bad the 'emergency' filing Mike went to handle that evening wasn't a restraining order against Daisy (which SHOULD be a no-brainer) .... Huh? Daniel can't be an 'adult' unless he wants to become Lucy's father? Letting the Abbott's raise her wasn't an adult decision (and in Lucy's best interests)? She's the result of a rape - of which Daniel was a VICTIM. Had he been female, no one would suggest 'she' raise a baby conceived by a drug induced sexual assault. Obviously, it's not a physical comparison - but can't Phyllis understand that it's an emotional one? .... George's actions may not 'reflect' on Daniel - but he does share genes with the 'vicious SOB' - and more importantly, Phyllis herself stressed that George 'made' her who she is. Phyllis SHOULD be telling Daniel what he needs to know - not lashing out at him (for a decision he made months ago) .... Phyllis waited 'forever' for a flight? Yet - managed to get back to GC before her father's service (Lucy must grow really fast) .... Kinda hard to feel much sympathy for Phyllis (as she had absolutely none when she was the one 'glomming' onto Lucy - and ripping her from Vikki's arms). Karma's a bitch ... But - there's no reason the Abbott's couldn't have visited Lucy over the past few months. In fact it's odd they didn't cross paths (especially with Phyllis working for Billy at RS). I'd be willing to bet the Baldwin's cross paths with Daisy much more frequently. Sometimes GC is a very small place - other times, not so much ... Yes Daniel - you MUST understand - Phyllis didn't want you kids near George (just like Danny didn't want you around HER as a kid) ... Why doesn't Nick see a 'way back' for Avery and her sister? How many times has Phyllis forgiven HIM?

My heartfelt thanks to: Stacey, Lorrie, Helen, Earl, Ellen, Judy, April, Bettie, Yvonne - the site's subscribers and those who support via the ads. As we're headed back to MD Anderson Cancer Center April 24th, the help is greatly appreciated.
