Rolling himself into the rehab center, Jack's a bitch on wheels. Sarge, a bitch on legs, is equally grumpy.
At home, Vikki's oh so happy (Chelsea signed the custody papers). Nikki reports that Victor lied - and finally admitted he brought Anita and Chelsea here. He'll never stop trying to end Vikki's marriage.
Everything's in place? Victor ends his call - and bumping into the flirtatious Genevieve, asks if she wants to sell him her company.
At a hip restaurant in Texas, Devon ends his call with Roxy when Harmony joins him - followed by Neil and Tucker (with a surprise; box seat tickets to a Black Keys concert). All tease Neil (the only uncool one unfamiliar with the Black Keys).
Excited and nervous about his surgery, Devon thanks Neil, Harmony and Tucker. An overly excited Harmony makes a toast - then runs to the bar for more 'soda'. Suspicious, and wondering why she doesn't just summon the waiter to the table, Neil turns in his chair to watch her closely.
The friction continuing, Jack's disappointed that Sarge is only having him lift hand weights.
At CL's, Victor again asks Genevieve to sell BofN to him. But no, she wants to be the head of her empire. But with no expertise or experience? Victor doesn't want her be 'eaten alive'. By you? Is that a request? That depends - on HIS experience and expertise. They DO 'enjoy' one another. Victor doesn't wanna see Genevieve fail. And she's confident things will come together. Victor's off to an important meeting - think about what I said.
Vikki can't agree that Victor did this out of love - and protection. He's just trying to fulfil his own prophecy (that her marriage to Billy won't work). Though persistent, Nikki's unable to persuade Vikki to reconsider her relationship with Victor (which is DONE!)
The label's sending a car to take them to the show. Devon better get used to the perks - because HE'S the man (not Tucker). Devon's sorry he keeps jumping all over Tucker (who wants good things for Devon. Not because he's his son - but because he respects the young man who happens to be his son). Hm - what happened to Harmony and Neil?
Following Harmony the bar (where she gulps her drink), Neil notes her 'energy' - did she do some exploring in Dallas - did she 'reach out'? Back all the way up - you think I'm 'usin'!? Harmony's indignant.
At CL's, Genevieve asks Nikki about Jack. Coldly excusing herself, Nikki gets a call from Victor (whom both she and Vikki are 'furious' at - and have nothing to say to). Please come to the ranch, Victor requests. In the background, Genevieve takes it all in.
Doing curls, Jack gripes - his upper body strength is FINE - he wants to WALK! Wanting to be on his feet again - and running his business, Jack questions the 'slow pace'. OK - let's move to the 'next level', Sarge agrees.
At the jukebox, Neil and Harmony argue - about his assumptions. Neil, of all people, knows it's a daily struggle - but he's concerned. We good? Both are soon laughing - when the 'square' Neil makes an ass of himself skattin n playin' air trumpet.
Unbelievable, Nikki turns her nose up at the candles - and sparkling cider. A little romantic ambience won't make her fall at Victor's feet. Taking the glass, Nikki lets it shatter on the floor - oops. Candles, flowers and pretty music won't make up for what Victor's done. Then what will? Perhaps Victor telling Nikki what she wants to hear; I'm a rotten bastard.
Vikki's on the phone - Dad admitted it - I'm OK - love you - bye. I guess I'm the last person you expected to see, Genevieve smiles when Vikki answers the door.
As the boys eat their pie, Harmony gets up to dance. Taunted, Neil's soon up there with her. And Neil's dragged off to the jukebox, Devon asks if Harmony was always like that. In some ways she's different - in some ways exactly the same, Tucker looks thoughtful.
Both Sarge and Jack are panting - as Jack holds himself upright on the parallel bars (but topples over when Sarge lets go). Sarge has made his point - Jack needs more upper body strength. We do this MY way - or end it NOW.
Good thing Billy's NOT home (since Genevieve's not his favourite person). Announcing that she owns Beauty of Nature, Genevieve's 'crossing lines' here - but wants Vikki to run the company - be CEO.
I'm selfish and controlling, Victor boasts - what else is new? Nikki knew that when she married him. He 'did this' to FIX things - Billy's a loser, a bad man. When Nikki talks of blackmail - Victor throwing his power around, Victor reminds that they've ALL benefited from that power. True - but Nikki believed he was a good man. Victor's STILL a good man - who yes, lied. Should Nikki overlook that? Because she knows Victor can be a bastard? Yeah - that's exactly what Nikki should do.
As Neil and Harmony continue to dance, Tucker talks to Devon about Candy Cane (who could always shut down a fight - everyone wanted to be in her orbit). Devon wonders why Tucker didn't recognize Harmony. He shut it out - but crazy memories are now coming back to him. Your Mom always loved music - and was a good listener. Devon's not to blame for the lousy choices Harmony made. The merriment continues when an out of breath Neil and Harmony return to the table.
Victor lied because he and Nikki had just found their way back to one another. He knew she's be pissed. I love you. Victor doesn't want to lose Nikki. OK - but lie to me again and we're through. Victor will do his best to honour that. Life without Nikki just isn't the same. She tolerates a kiss on the cheek.
Genevieve continues her pitch. Vikki will have autonomy - call all the shots. Genevieve? she'll be learning - the woman behind the curtain. Vikki will have the space to utilize her talents fully. Genevieve realizes her relation to the Abbott's could be a problem - but she wants the best possible person to take BofN into the future. So - whaddaya say?
Back in his wheelchair, Jack's worked up a sweat - and his arm muscles. Wanting to call it quits, Jack admits he's not in as good a shape as he thought. OK - but tomorrow, Sarge wants him to work harder.
Heading out to the concert, Neil's gonna check in with Sofia. Tucker pulls Harmony aside (for a friendly warning) - Neil's calling his WIFE (Tucker's VERY close friend). Don't go there.
Back at Vikki's, Nikki announces her decision to give Victor a second chance. It's crazy - but they have a long history. Vikki's not surprised - but it's too late for HER to forgive him (especially after what she's just done).
Genevieve calls Victor to gloat. She has good news (for her - not him). She got a CEO; one of the people instrumental in building the company - your daughter, Vikki.
Next: In bed with Sharon, Adam thinks he can handle anything that comes his way - when we go back home to GC ... Nick's with Phyllis - We love each other - so I say we give this another shot ... Victor's not too happy with Vikki; You're gonna stand there and tell me you didn't take this job to get a reaction outta me?
My Thoughts: 'Everything's in place'? Victor really had to make special arrangements to some candles lit and someone to hit 'play' on the music? Big deal (yet he tells Nikki he went to great lengths to 'put all this out' lol) ... Poor Roxy - she never gets to go along on any of the Winters adventures ... Shouldn't have Tucker checked that Devon's 'up for it' BEFORE getting concert tickets? ... Is a loud rock concert really the best way for Devon to spend the evening before his surgery? ... I guess Nikki was making a statement (by sending her glass shattering to the floor) - but all she's really making is a mess for the staff to clean up.... Everyone wanted to be in Candy Cane's 'orbit' (orbit being an euphemism for 'pants' I assume) ... If Vikki's the 'best' person to run Beauty of Nature, why did she ask Neil first (not to mention Bernard; whom she interviewed in Paris). In fact, Genevieve hadn't considered Vikki for the job - until she overheard Nikki tell Victor that she's furious with him ... Devon's making 'records' that are making money? Plural? He's only got one artist - who's only put out one song. |
