At the tackhouse, Vikki moans n groans about Victor (whom she tried to be professional with - then walked out because he's all about Billy). Nick knows business IS personal with Dad - IS Vikki trying to stick it to him? He'll never leave BofN alone.
Victor's not so friendly when Genevieve comes to ensure there's no hard feelings about hiring Vikki. He notes she seems pleased with herself - but how long will it last?
On the patio, Avery and Mike try to convince Daniel to change his way of thinking - claim that baby as your own (to keep her from Daisy).
Here we are baby - home sweet home, Daisy coos - as she wheels Lucy into the new apartment.
Paul gets the purring Patty to focus (on how Adam helped her escape).
Phyllis reads Ricky's story - which Patty confided to him. So - Jack being paralyzed etc. is all on Adam's head.
Helping Adam into his suite, Sharon invites him to move in with her. On Victor's ranch? Adam's libel to end up in worse shape than he already is.
Genevieve assumed Victor would want the best person at the helm; Vikki. Victor's respected her manouvering so far - until now. Genevieve's sorry if she overstepped - but we'll always have Paris. Victor's ready to play hardball - Vikki always returns to me, he warns (as Genevieve exits).
Vikki denies she's taking this job because of Victor (but she won't turn it down because of him either). Nick believes her - go get em tiger. He then updates that Daisy was granted full custody of Lucy.
Mike and Avery continue to gang up on Daniel - Lucy deserves to be saved. So save her - but Daniel WON'T fight for custody.
Patty was trying to be good - but then Adam showed up - said he was a ghost. Then it was down the rabbit hole (the vent). Paul's told about the nun's habit - Adam told her to do the Lord's work. I knew it! Paul gets up to he mutter - it was Adam all along!
Ricky assures the story's true - he checked it out. Adam was in the same ward - he spirited Patty away. This story's a game changer. Phyllis ponders - if Adam left Patty alone, he'd be able to see - Jack'd be able to walk. If Sharon hears about this .... No - Phyllis isn't taking the high road - she's cutting Ricky a check - the story's mine (much to Ricky's delight).
Sharon pitches reasons why Adam should acclimate at her place. Victor won't allow it - and Nick would take Faith, Adam won't let that happen again. OK - Sharon will talk to Nick (he DID bring Faith to Kansas after all - and Victor DOES care). Alright - but Adam must talk to Victor himself.
Genevieve meets Ms CEO at G-worm - to discuss BofN business. Vikki's distracted - about Lucy. Relating, Genevieve talks of watching her son's wedding from a distance. Her decisions cost her dearly - which is why BofN MUST flourish (and Vikk's the woman to make it the most successful cosmetics company in the world).
What are you doing back? Adam's there for many reasons (one being to help Victor get BofN back).
Meanwhile, Sharon comes downstairs - raving about Faith. Adam's changed - Sharon wants him to move in with her. He's blind - I'm all he has. Nick sighs - but agrees. OK. He'll learn to deal with it.
At CL's, Phyllis is on her phone - the story's pretty big. She hangs up at the sight of Daisy carrying Lucy; Hello Phyllis.
Daisy turns Lucy away - no, no, we wouldn't wanna confuse her. We're so happy together - you stole my child and let me rot. When Daniel asks Daisy to leave - for Lucy's sake, she complies - leaving Phyllis as yet another person upset that Daniel won't 'fix' this.
Nick's not thrilled about it - but won't stand in Sharon's way (of helping Adam). But - Faith's not to live with Sharon while he's there. But during the day he's not there, Sharon sputters. Nick then gets a call from Daniel (alerting him of the run in with Daisy). Phyllis needs me, Nick stands. OK with Sharon staying until the nanny gets there, he warns her to be careful. Sharon's sure Adam's changed - you'll see (and so will everyone else).
Still in Victor's office, a contrite Adam wants to help regain the company he caused NE to lose. Victor lists Adam's bad behavior (which he'd change if he could). Hope mentioned several times, Adam regrets the pain he's caused - humble about putting out the fire - and hopeful that he can salvage a relationship with his father.
Stomping to the club's bar, Avery expresses regret over releasing Daisy (whom she saw as a victim abandoned by Phyllis). Avery knows Mike's not her 'confidante' - but must apologize - it's all my fault.
Stopping to help Daisy with the groceries she dropped, Ricky informs he moved into Kevin's old place. Yes, Daisy knows him - he's her half brother. So YOU'RE Daisy - and this must be Lucy, Ricky explains that he works for Phyllis (but that shouldn't be a problem - unless Daisy plays bad music too loud).
At the penthouse, Phyllis mopes over a box of Lucy's clothes. Nick finds her crying on the floor. It's not gonna be OK, she weeps in his arms - it'll never be OK.
Now seated, Mike's focussed on finding away to get Lucy away from Daisy (while Avery's more concerned with Phyllis forgiving her).
Nick reassures - Lucy needs Phyllis (like Faith needs Sharon). Relaying Sharon's plan (to move Adam in with her), Nick isn't willing to be the person who stands between mother and daughter anymore.
Since Adam can't change the past, he WILL be a better man now; no longer jealous of the love and respect Victor gives Nick, Vikki and Abby. He came to town a smug bastard. Having hit rock bottom, Adam will work his way back; as a person, a son, an NE employee. He'll do whatever it takes; mailroom, washrooms.
Daniel makes a beeline for Mike and Avery; I'm in! I wanna fight for custody of Lucy.
Sharon thinks Adam's changed - so as long as Faith's safe, it's none of Nick's business. Ricky calls, from Daisy's - the story's not on the RS site yet - want me to hack in?. No - Phyllis killed the story. You're kidding! It's massive - could blow Adam out of the water. Yeah - Phyllis gets it - but isn't running the story. And Ricky CAN'T 'take it elsewhere' - we signed a deal. The story belongs to Phyllis - and it's DEAD. And as Ricky hangs up, Daisy continues to put her groceries away.
Vikki can't attend the meetings Genevieve's arranged. She made the decision too quickly - Vikki's family comes first. With so much going on, she can't devote the time BofN deserves. Vikki can't committ at this time. Needless to say, Genevieve's disappointed.
Not expecting his father to believe him, Adam just wants a chance to prove himself. Victor agrees he can come back - to start wherever he decides. He's doing it for Hope (whom Adam better not let down). One more thing - can Adam move in with Sharon? Yes - if that's what Sharon wants (though Victor's sure he'll disappoint her before long). No - Adam loves Sharon.
Showing up at the suite, Paul asks Sharon to pass along a message - he wants to see Adam. Half way out the door, Paul stops - there IS something you oughtta know.
Next: You're NOT going home until you can do this, Sarge orders Jack (who glares up as he struggles) ... There's no story, Phyllis assures Ricky. Try telling that to Paul, he replies ... She has a fragile grasp on reality, Sharon diplomatically tells Paul. Oh, she remembers very clearly, Paul says with confidence.
My Thoughts: Victor's secretary, Connie, is about as effective as his security guards at home. 'Your son is here' - she couldn't bother to specify whether it was the son who forged a diary that put him in prison - or the good son - who sued him for 500 million? And Connie couldn't stop Genevieve from barging into Victor's office? Good thing she wasn't a gun toting maniac (which wouldn't be the first time) ... Kinda sad (for Faith) that Sharon has no shame readily admitting she'd still be in Kansas - if ADAM hadn't decided it was time to come back. Guess she's OK mothering over Skype .... Nice that Nick's given up on keeping Adam away from Sharon - and since they live on the same property, it shouldn't be too inconvenient for Sharon to spend time with Faith AWAY from Adam. 'He won't be there' during the day? Huh? Where's he gonna be? And unless all the mail's addressed in Braille, I can't see Adam being very effective in the mailroom. He did sound sincere - too bad his past actions will now be exposed (by Ricky's story). What kind of journalist KILLS a 'massive' story? I don't understand why Phyllis is now protecting Adam ... Daniel has every right to NOT want to be a father - but stepping up IS the right thing to do (as he's the only one who has a shot at taking custody away from Daisy). Where did she get the money to buy the stroller? (never mind first and last month's rent, plus security deposit on the upscale apartment).
