At the club, waiting to meet with Abby, Genevieve gives her a call - can't wait. Exciting proposition? an eavesdropping Victor comes over - for coffee - and to discuss Genevieve 'stealing' his daughters from him.
Issuing orders, Billy's in a hurry to leave RS - when Abby appears - insisting he listen - this is 'huge'.
About to leave for Chelsea's doctor's appointment, Vikki's clearly distracted (by a job offer she claims - though Chelsea suspects it's something do with Daisy). Who is she? Vikki explains that she's Lucy's Mom. Yes, Anita told her about Lucy (the plan being to 'use it'). Now, Phyllis is feeling the same pain the Abbott's felt - because a biological mother trumps all documentation in court (which Vikki worries might apply to their situation).
At G-worm, Gloria bosses Jeffrey around (which he takes in stride). Jill arrives - to confront Glo on her feelings for her busboy. If she's only interested in getting her stolen money back, Glo must plan on keeping him around 'forever'.
Dropping by Daisy's, Avery's NOT there to check up - or dropping her as a client. She's only sorry she helped her in the first place - Phyllis was an excellent mother to Lucy. Unconcerned (as Phyllis doesn't stand a chance), Daisy's told that Daniel might - he's decided to fight for custody.
At the penthouse, Phyllis is moping over Lucy's doll when Daniel comes by (getting a chilly welcome - until he announces he's fighting Daisy for custody). SO happy, Phyllis' smile turns upside down ~hug~
Granted 2 minutes, Abby met a reality producer in LA - who wants to do a show on her amazing Uncle (who owns RS). Doesn't being a star sound awesome? Billy admits it's an opportunity of a lifetime - but can't go to LA. Because that skank's about to pop out that kid? Billy won't leave Vikki alone as long as Anita's in town.
Chelsea reassures Vikki (who plans to give this child attention 24/7) That's part of the reason she's not taking the job - the other is Victor. At least he cares - Chelsea never met her Dad (who she likes to imagine is a great guy) She wants loving parents for her son.
Genevive is 'wounded' - can she help it if the two top candidates (the 'best') are Newman's? Victor thinks she should have accepted HIS offer then - to 'help' her run BofN. Gen then lets it slip that Vikki hasn't accepted her offer yet.
Avery thinks it'd be a no-brainer for the Judge; Daniel's clearly the better parent. Daisy's aware that he divorced his wife rather than being a parent. Avery now sees the real Daisy (though she knows she's making up to Phyllis). No - Avery's supporting her nephew (a better parent). See you in court, she says on exiting.
Phyllis is all gung ho - she'll get a lawyer, witnesses (including herself, Nick and Jack). Of course it wasn't an easy decision - but what changed Daniel's mind? Avery.
What can Chelsea do to make Vikki believe her? Keep her promise. And when Anita comes knocking, Vikki listens - pleased as Chelsea angers her mother - by updating that she's signed custody over to the Abbott's (and there's nothing she can do to stop her). Nu uh - Anita's not having it.
Back at the penthouse, Phyllis isn't impressed that Avery was the one credited with changing Daniel's mind. Oh well, at least she and Avery agree on something (that's nice). Daniel now realizes he's the only one who can save Lucy from Daisy. Phyllis is 'very proud' (and confident the court will rule in his favour). We're gonna get Lucy back - because of you. And you - and Avery, Daniel adds.
As Gloria sens Jeff off to handle napkins, Jill (who doesn't much care for either of them), knows they love one another. Angelo!? Are you crazy!? (They share as much chemistry as Elton John and Madonna). He's a thief, Glo scoffs. Yeah, but if Jeff remembers where the money is, what will Gloria do to keep him around? Watching Jeffrey work, Glo's left to mull that one over.
As Vikki continues to eavesdrop, Anita tries to convince Chelsea not to hand her baby over to the Abbott's. And as Chelsea insists on giving her baby a good (Anita-free) life, Billy comes home - get. out. of. my. house. When Vikki emerges to join Billy, Anita clip clops out (and an indignant Chelsea's jaw drops - when they suspect the argument was a set up).
Back at the club, Genevieve politely gets rid of Victor - she wouldn't want him to be uncomfortable (when Abby arrives). Doubting she'll have any better luck with her (than Vikki), Victor leaves Gen to 'have a nice day'). Arriving texting, Abby doesn't notice her father leaving (as she babbles apologies to Genevieve). Announcing that Vikki's coming to work for her, Genevieve invites her to join them. What could be more 'natural' than the naked Heiress? It's win-win. And when Abby worries about her father's reaction, Genevieve mentions her winning the lawsuit - do what's best for you - be smart - come work for me.
No, Abby's not afraid of her father. And hearing that Vikki isn't (and has accepted the offer), Genevieve kisses ass - until Abby knows exactly what she's gonna do.
Billy suspects the 'oops - didn't know you wer listening' routine. Chelsea denies it - and knows they're ready to teach this baby how to be a good person. It's not too late, Vikki says. And as Chelsea goes to fetch her gloves, Billy updates her on the reality show (which he can't accept). What!? Vikki insists he go.
Avery pays an awkward visit to Phyllis - to tell her what she already knows (Daniel's fighting for custody). Wait, Phyllis tells her nervous sister (who'd clearly like to be invited in).
Daisy wheels Lucy into CL's - to ask Daniel if he wants to hold her. She's not angry because he's suing for custody - it migh turn out OK for all. Huh? She's been thinking about them raising Lucy - together (which obviously hasn't crossed Daniel's mind).
At the bar, Gloria snaps at Jeff (for waiting on Jill). And as he obediently toddles off to mop the kitchen, Glo's sure Jill would crack the whip over Collin (if she had the chance).
You don't know me? Anita bumps into Jeff (who doesn't - as he's having memory trouble).
Back at the bar, Jill explains the difference; Collin was a crime lord - Jeff's a nice guy (albeit, a bit of an idiot). He took every dime I had, Gloria complains. Listening, Anita gives Jeff a stare (which puzzles him).
Abby goes to Victor - to relay Genevieve's job offer. He didn't approach her at the club because he trusts her to do the right thing. Abby couldn't work at BofN - it wouldn't be right. Victor hopes Vikki will be as wise.
Vikki assures Billy that she can handle things while he's in LA for a week - what can go wrong? A lot - the consequences are scary (and he already declined). Insisting, Vikki denies she's trying to get rid of Billy (who supported HER taking Genevieve's job - even though it might cause trouble between him and Jack). Besides, battling Victor every day would hinder her ability to be a good mother. But with a bit more convicing, Vikki decides she CAN handle it.
At Phyllis door, Avery's humble (when it's relayed that Daniel's crediting her with changing his mind). Both still awkward, Phyllis thanks Avery. Knowing she's trying to 'make things right', she apprecaites all she's doing for Daniel and Lucy. You're welcome.
Handing Lucy back, Daniel thinks Daisy really IS crazy (if she thinks they're gonna raise Lucy together). Don't worry, Daisy's left to coo - Daddy just needs to get used to the idea.
When Jeff tells Gloria that the new waitress, Anita, left, she instructs him to tell Ben to fill in (until she finds a replacement). Jill then hisses in her ear - never shoulda hired that horrible woman in the first place.
On the CL's patio, Chelsea's on the phone; just needed air - meet you at the doctor's. Joining her, Anita gets more attitude - and threatens not to tell Chelsea about the discovery she made - her father!
Abby hasn't spoken to Vikki (but knows she's mad that Victor brought that tramp to town). That's Billy's doing, Victor replies. Abby decides it may not be trouble after all (now that the Abbott's will be raising the baby). Victor won't hold his breath for a thank you - but IS encouraged that Vikki hasn't accepted Vikki's offer.
Vikki then calls Genevieve - to accept the offer.
Next: Billy's with Ashley and Jack - who should know that Vikki's going back to work. At NE? No ... What's going on? Chloe asks Mike and Phyllis (who replies - we're taking Daisy down) ... In the building they both reside in, Lauren warns Daisy - stay away from me - stay away from my family.
My Thoughts: Sorry again folks. High winds moved my satellite dish - so I had to watch the show at a neighbour's 90 minutes later than usual. I'll be paying a repairman to resolve the issue tomorrow - as I'm too scared to climb up on my roof to wiggle the stupid dish around ;-) |
