The optimistic Avery is about to leave when Nick calls Phyllis to say his flight's cancelled due to equipment failure - but they're on a waiting list for another flight. Yes, Phyllis knows Nick wants to be there - and will see her as soon as he can. I'm fine, Phyllis assures.

On the patio, Daisy 'the good mother' pleads - while Daniel only wants to be there for Lucy (whom he's trying to keep safe from her). Problem? Eden interrupts. Nothing court can't resolve, Daniel replies. It doesn't have to be like this, Daisy whines - we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Meeting Cane at the club, Jill gives him a hug - reassuring that no one else got the Mitsukushi contract either. It's not over. Cane confesses that he could have shut BofN down - but but his mother's welfare above Jabot.

In his office, Victor's on the phone with Nick - praising him and Sharon on their 'phenomenal coup'. Locking the contract is a home run - he's proud. Genevieve wanders in - sorry if she can't offer congratulations. In a benevolent mood, Victor forgives her.

Back at the club, Cane explains how he killed Genevieve's meeting with Yoshidu. Of COURSE his mother was going to offer a bribe. As Jill chuckles, Cane adds that Genevieve flipped out that he sabotaged her business. He now wishes he'd left it alone - put Jabot first - and let Genevieve get arrested.

Thanking Genevieve for her thoughtful gift; a bottle of sake, Victor WOULD have been more helpful has she been more willing to sell BofN back to him. Boasting that Nick and Sharon met with the owner's son, Victor claims BofN won't be worth much without the exclusive contract. A hiccup, Genevieve has other plans. Good luck, Victor sends her off - have a nice day.

At the restaurant in Japan, Nick and Sharon toast - to reeling in the big one. He claims Phyllis understood. He's disappointed too - but it's out of his hands.

Knowing Phyllis needs company, Avery offers cinnamon toast. Who else can Phyllis vent to (about Nick). Instead of wallowing, Phyllis will focus on Daniel (and the hearing).

At the club, Ricky gets a text from Phyllis - get to my place asap.

Don't let that bitch get to you, Eden tells Daniel. Daisy comes across as a nice person - he worries she'll convince the Judge. Also, she said something scary and true - it'll never be over.

Eating with chopsticks, Sharon talks Nick out of his bad mood - making a list of off topic subjects (including Phyllis and Adam).

At the penthouse, Ricky's told that Avery made a mistake (representing Daisy). And what's in it for him? A story. Upset that Ricky has no 'ammo', Phyllis stresses how important this is for her son.

Though Eden's confident Daniel will get custody - he worries (that Lucy will live with - and grow up to be - like Daisy).

At CL's, Genevieve's stunned at the news that Bernard (the man she met in Paris?) was charged with bribery - while seeking an exclusive contract with Mitsukushi. Ethan! a light goes off above Genevieve's head.

Still at the club, Jill knows Cane would never let his mother go down. Blah blah blah. Victor summons Jill to his office - to discuss what she was up to in Japan.

If one seat becomes available, Sharon thinks Nick should take it. He declines - though knows she's leave HIM behind. Deciding to put their technology away, Nick brings out his secret weapon ...

Freaked out, Daniel asks Avery to stick around. Good - now he has his emotional AND legal support there. He's worried about what the Judge will think of him.

Dropping by Daisy's, Ricky reports that he just came from seeing the Queen herself - and they're coming at Daisy with everything they have. Daisy just wants to raise her daughter - and Ricky seems to be the only one who gets it. Wahh - the whole world is against poor Daisy.

Nick's secret weapon turns out be a Rubik's cube - whomever solves it quicker, wins. Sharon sets her timer....

Avery and Phyllis encourage a nervous Daniel - he's not a deadbeat Dad - didn't dodge his responsibilities - he gave Lucy to a loving home. Daniel's to make the Judge believe what they KNOW - he's an incredible man - an amazing Dad.

Finding Cane at the club, Genevieve now knows Cane was only trying to help her (in Japan). Hear me out, she implores.

When Jill arrives, Victor wastes no time showing her the photo on his phone. Mind telling me why you took this ridiculous photo of me and Genevieve?

A frustrated Nick gives up quickly on the Rubik's cube. Watch and learn, Sharon takes it.

Seeing the two of them, Jill couldn't help but memorialize the moment for posterity. Her nose wouldn't let her pass on something so aromatic. Thinking she might have wanted to use it as leverage (to get the Mitsukushi contract), Victor informs that woulda been useless - since Nick and Sharon have already 'won the prize'.

Genevieve tells Cane why his interruption seemed so far fetched. Oh? It's far fetched for a son to help his mother? Both are chuckling - the apology is accepted - until Cane gets a text from Ashley. With news of the bribery all over the Internet, Cane believes THAT was Genevieve's 'epiphany'.

Disappointed, Cane wonders what his mother really wants from him. Believing that Victor set her up, Gen's sorry she didn't believe Cane. Yes - she came looking for him AFTER seeing the bribery article. And now NE has the contract. I have work to do, Cane exits.

As Sharon continues to work the Rubik's cube, Nick's alerted that they're on the next flight. Packing up quickly, they file out.

Thanking his support team, Daniel's then told that Ricky's helping too (by getting dirt on Daisy). He's relentless - ruthless (and want his name on a story). Daniel will take wherever he can get it.

Daisy was raised by a deranged woman - and Ricky can relate (with his mother and diabolical aunt institutionalized). He knows Daisy did what she had to to survive. And as Eden listens from the hallway, Ricky says the only person you can count on is yourself. And as Eden peeks through the door, Daisy and Ricky kiss.

Just as Genevieve arrives, Victor announces that Nick and Sharon have sealed the contract (which will be announced soon). Jill leaves them to do whatever it is they do. Feeling misguided, Genevieve now questions living in GC - running a cosmetics company. What IS Victor willing to offer for BofN??

Next: I want my life back, Jack shouts (Nikki in the background) - I'm gonna have that operation! What operation? Sarge appears ... Vikki confronts her father - I know what you're doing with Genevieve - and it's not gonna work. Is that so? Victor responds ... What could we possibly have to say to each other? Give me a second and you might just find out, Adam tells Sharon.
