Nikki in his office, Victor calls Nick (at the club). Get in touch with Genevieve, he orders - we're ready to buy BofN immediately. Nick agrees - they need to get the jump on Vikki. Jack's another competitor, Victor updates. Spotting Genevieve, Nick will see what he can find out. That leaves Nikki to grumble about Jack trusting 'that woman'. Not at all surprised, Victor knows Jack would sleep with the devil (to best HIM).
Meanwhile, Jack calls Genevieve - to accept her terms (not exactly a romantic response to her marriage proposal). Jack's condition? No one must know about the arrangement - which will take place right away. Before Nick can approach Genevieve, Vikki beats him to it - ready to make a firm offer on BofN.
I'm your wife! Ashley reminds - and yes, she DOES expect Tucker not to act on his wife's tip - as it would hurt her.
Coming home to find Kay on the phone (discussing press announcements), Harmony's surprised to hear that Neil's back at CI. Will this be an issue for Devon - he doesn't know yet, Kay frets.
At the club, Sofia doesn't want to discuss Tucker firing her. And when Devon arrives, Neil announces that he's the new CEO of CI.
Harmony doesn't THINK Devon's still angry at Kay - he's all about his music and surgery. He's just not good about surprises (and secrets). Hiring Neil was a smart business move (but will Devon understand that?)
Neil's sure that Kay's genuinely sorry for the way she treated Devon (who supports his decision - and can draw his own boundaries with Kay - congratulations. That leaves Sofia and Neil to agree (Devon's not OK with it - Kay betrayed his trust). Speaking of which - Neil appreciates Sofia's support - and wanting to return the favour, hopes she can confide in him. Guilty, Sofia squirms.
Ashley regrets telling her husband that Genevieve's thinking of selling BofN - will Tucker pounce every time she slips up? Ashley may not want Jack to buy BofN (but she also doesn't want him to feel she's siding with Tucker against him). Come on - Jack's a businessman, Tucker points out. He wouldn't understand, Ashley argues - Jack needs his family at his side (not conspiring against him). She won't be able to talk him out of this surgery if he doesn't trust her. OK - Tucker won't act on what Ashley told him (but will when he hears it elsewhere). Frustrated - this IS a test - and Tucker's flunking. Ash knows he's just gonna do what he's gonna do.
At the club, Vikki hands over an offer that stands on it's own (and impresses Genevieve). Unlike Victor, she doesn't have to go to a board - and can make this happen today. Nick joins them - to say Victor's equally willing and able. Jack? He's not talking to me, Genevieve lies. Marching off, Nick wastes not time reporting to Daddy. Telling Nick to keep on it, Victor assures Nikki that he wouldn't expect her to do any investigating for him. Off to visit Jack, Nikki makes it clear she'd do no such thing.
Still at the club, Sofia complains about Tucker canceling her big project - it's time to move on. Supportive, Neil's got her back. Snapping at him, Sofia immediately apologizes. Offering to stay, Neil's sent off to his meeting. Do what you have to do - I'll do the same, she says.
On the phone, reserving a wheelchair accessible honeymoon suite, Jack hangs up when Nikki arrives. Bickering, Nikki tells him not to do something he'll regret - regarding the surgery AND Genevieve.
Seated at the club, Nick hopes Victor gets BofN back - for VIKKI'S sake - so things don't get ugly. Things couldn't GET more ugly, Vikki whines (though Nick's not sure about that). Trying to dissuade her, Nick wonders if Vikki really wants to battle with Dad - and why is she really doing this anyway?
When Tucker approaches the 'popular' Genevieve at the bar, he pretends to be surprised to hear she's entertaining offers for BofN. Forget Newman, sell to me, he suggests.
At G-worm, Vikki tells her Dad about her run in with Nick (who worries what competition is doing to the family). Does that mean she's withdrawing her bid on BofN? No - but Vikki's not doing it to spite Victor - she wants to see how far she can take the company she created. She also hopes he'll reconsider NE's new start up line. So, Victor concludes - Vikki's asking HIM to back down (while she's not). Vikki may SAY she wants a truce - but her actions speak otherwise.
Back at the bar, Tucker makes his pitch for BofN. Everyone else is after it for vindication - or revenge. Selling to him (an old friend), Genevieve wouldn't have to watch her back. Wowed by the figure he jots down, she says money isn't everything. What's she after? Tucker will know soon enough.
Nick's next stop is Ashley's office - Genevieve's making her rounds - gauging interest in BofN. Listing the players involved, he worries about a bidding war. There's gotta be a way around it - if we work together. Have a seat (Ashley's suddenly not so busy anymore).
Startling Devon at the studio, Kay wonders how he feels about Neil returning to CI. It's not the best time - Devon reminds that he can't hear (but can't help but be impressed - Kay's learning sign language - to talk to her grandson).
Nikki can't imagine why Jack's adding Genevieve on top of his other 'adjustments'. Jack's taking control of his life - if she's got a problem with it .... Walking in chattering, Genevieve almost spills the beans - And what's Nikki doing here ? Warning Jack about my feminine wiles? That's about it, Jack admits - then sighs in frustration - when Nikki asks Genevieve's opinion on the risky surgery (which she clearly had no knowledge of).
At CL's, an updated Harmony tells Neil that Sofia should go work with him at CI (until she hears they butted heads last time). Congrats on the new gig! She then get Neil laughing - when teasing him that he's repressed.
At the bar, Sofia tries to bail out on Tucker's plan (because she hates lying to Neil). Besides, Vikki turned her down - she can't be his eyes and ears at BofN. Let's just tell everyone we worked it out and drop it. Sorry darlin' - it's not that simple.
Back at the studio, Devon tells Kay that he supports Neil's decision (to work for her) - but he's just not ready to forgive and forget. Kay plays the 'old lady' card - SHE doesn't have all the time in the world.
Neil wasn't such a dud in Dallas (where he got his groove on). Yeah but Neil'd rather be with his family (than out 'cuttin' a rug'). And when Harmony preaches 'balance', Neil claims he knows how to 'play'. In fact, he'll wear a clown nose tomorrow. Harmony hopes she's there when he finally lets out his inner 'fun guy'.
Change of plans - Tucker now needs Sofia to be his eyes and ears at NE. I need your help, he whispers - get inside - just long enough to find out what they're offering Genevieve (so he can beat it).
Jack wheels out in a huff (when Genevieve and Nikki agree on the surgery). Told she better get used to Genevieve being in Jack's life, Nikki warns that she'll be watching her like a hawk. She won't let Genevieve hurt Jack again!
Devon doesn't think Kay 'pushy' at all. Whaddaya say 'we wipe the slate clean' (he signs). Forgive but not forget, Kay's delighted when she's able to sign back.
Flattered that Harmony thinks there's hope for him, Neil quotes a poem she's familiar with (from AA meetings). Breaking the moment, Neil decides its time to head back to work. Wishing him the best, Harmony's left to look equally effected.
After his fishing expedition, Nick's left alone in Ashley's office - to text Victor an update (Jack's definitely after BofN).
Tucker accosts Victor at G-worm. He doubts the board will approve funds to purchase BofN (as he's gonna make sure of it). That won't be a problem, Victor assures.
Across the room, Vikki leaves a message for Billy - by the time he gets back, she could very well be the new owner of BofN. She's beaten her father before and can do it again.
Victor then joins Nikki and Jack's table. When I want something I get it, Jack boasts. If he's referring to BofN, Victor thinks he'll be disappointed - sooner rather than later. All eyes are now on Genevieve; Tucker, Vikki, Victor, Nikki and Jack (who's the most confident).
Next: Ashley's not happy with Tucker. You can't understand that it'd bother me? That my husband's determined to compete with my family's business? ... You meeting Sharon again? No - actually - Victor came to the club to see Adam ... I have a little surprise for you, Jack says (causing Genevieve to beam up at him like a school girl).
My Thoughts: 2 days down - 2 to go!
