At Jack's, he and Nikki briefly discuss the baby - then the plan he's sticking to; marrying Genevieve (which Nikki think's a terrible idea). Jack updates what Gen overheard - and his cover story (that he was just placating the pushy Nikki). Gen seemed completely reassured - and still wants to be his wife (but Jack can't be sure she meant it).

At CL's, Genevieve's surprised to get a call from 'Ethan' (inviting her to lunch). Leaving the club, Lily will return later (hopefully NOT to find Cane banging his head on the table). Good things CAN happen (Devon's proof of that). We'll know soon enough, Cane agrees.

At NE, Victor reports his meeting with Genevieve didn't go as planned - he's adjusted his strategy (and downplays Nick's praise for helping Vikki yesterday).

Still at the hospital, Vikki bottle feeds 'John' (Daddy's off attending to important business). Oh, how happy she is.

Getting a visit from Adam, Chelsea reminds that the kid she delivered isn't hers anymore. So, what does she need - a joke or a shoulder? Chelsea needs to 'get over it' - and thinks Adam wrong for keeping 'it' a secret ('it' being him pulling her from the lake and delivering her baby).

Back at NE, Nick thinks Victor helping Vikki (despite their 'cold war') was 'huge'. Is he really not going to acknowledge that? Victor's saved from answering when Sharon arrives. Instructed to narrow down perfume samples asap, she'll have more work than she bargained for (once Victor obtains BofN that is).

Jack hasn't heard from Genevieve - so will assume they're taking off for Vegas today as planned. You can't DO this, Nikki wails - we're talking about sharing a life - a bed - with a woman who betrayed him (and whom he doesn't love). Maybe Jack DOES deserve better - hey, how about he and NIKKI elope? No - didn't think so. Agreeing not to say anything, Nikki has to ask - is it really worth it? Is this who Jack really is? That gives him pause for thought.

At the club, Cane's given some thought to Genevieve wanting to fix her mistakes - and would like to fix them too.

Chelsea talks about how cold and scared she was - thought for sure she'd die. WHY shouldn't everyone know what Adam did? Vikki accused him of horrible things - and needs to know Adam did right by her (saving the baby she loves). On cue, Vikki arrives - to awkward silence.

Now in the break room, Nick expresses the need to finalize a name and products - in time for the arts council gala. And Sharon expresses how much she enjoys sampling perfume - and congratulates 'Uncle Nick' (on the new baby). He updates on Chelsea falling in the lake - after an argument (over Adam).

Adam's not up for another round with Vikki - just came to check on Chelsea (which is HER reason for being there too). Chelsea's relieved to hear the baby's 'perfect' - a miracle she's grateful for. Adam congratulates Vikki (who thanks him - then is happy to hear Chelsea's standing by her decision on custody).

Jack leaves a message for Genevieve - assuming she's shopping for her 'trousseau'. He just wanted to touch base on wedding plans - can't wait ~click~

Genevieve's determined to be a different person - knowing she has trust issues. Relating, Cane credits Jill and Kay - who forgave him (as did Lily and the Winters). Yes - he has the family he always wanted - and would be a hypocrite not to give his weepy mother a chance. Genevieve wonders if Jack's sincere. The past can't be forgotten - but Cane knows one can make a new path.

Dad! Vikki's surprised to find her father in the private nursery.

Back at NE, Nick and Sharon go over perfume samples; the last one reminds them of Cassie's favourite bubble bath. Down to three finalists, Sharon sends Nick off to run errands (pleasure working with you 'sir').

Mrs Martinez has Jack's bags all packed. He's ready to go - but is Genevieve? he wonders to himself.

Cane tells Genevieve to be patient. Things take time - like THEM having a civil conversation. If she wants to be with Jack, she must risk being hurt. Lily joins them - pleased to hear they've had a good talk. Genevieve must run - but Cane would LOVE to do this again ~kiss~ That leaves Lily to say how proud she is of Cane ~hug~

The old Adam would blackmail and threaten Chelsea - but even at his very worst, wouldn't have let Chelsea drown. No one will believe he saved her - but maybe one day people will accept that Adam's changed.

Vikki thanks Victor - for helping her find Chelsea and the baby (who're both fine). Complaining briefly about Adam - the baby wheeled back in - Vikki gushes. John? Victor watches the new Mom fuss over her baby.

Nikki's also surprised to find Vikki introducing her Dad to John. Gosh no, the new Mom hasn't gotten any sleep. Making a hasty exit, Victor pulls faces in the hallway.

Chelsea and Adam joke about how much the baby would have been worth; millions. Giving him up sounds pretty 'evolved' to Adam. And though she doesn't agree with his decision, Chelsea won't say a word (about him saving her and the baby).

Back at the club, Lily's glad to hear the meeting went well. Cane reports his Mom was open - and listened. Hoping Genevieve can be part of the family, Cane would love normalcy from his side of the family.

At Jack's, Genevieve updates on her surprisingly lovely chat with Ethan. There's hope for us yet. Jack's pleased - Cane believes in new beginnings (like HE does). Is Genevieve all packed? Yeah - about that ....

On the patio, Sharon has a question for Adam - or more of an accusation. How can he hang around with a con artist - and expect people to believe .... That he wouldn't steal Chelsea's baby? Like he did Sharon's? What IS going on then? Just so Sharon can understand Adam.

Vikki and Nikki gush over John - how wonderful that Victor came to visit. Vikki won't read too much into it - he barely glanced at the baby. Nikki still thinks it something - and so does Uncle Nick (who arrives with a gazzillion balloons). Nikki hopes Victor sees what a blessing this baby is.

When Victor visits, Chelsea doesn't buy that he's concerned - what do you want? Victor's there to ensure Chelsea doesn't renege (and wants her to sign a contract). Questioned why he suddenly cares about Vikki's happiness, Victor won't have his motives questioned.

Still at Jack's, Genevieve ends a call (including mention that she'll be out of town). But - Gen needs a bit more time. Jack's to go ahead - she'll meet him in Vegas. But Jack chartered a jet - why WOULDN'T they leave together?

Cane thanks Lily with a kiss (crediting her with him reaching out to his Mom). Adding Genevieve to the family is all because of Lily's encouragement.

Back on the patio, Adam sums up his friendship with Chelsea - two pariah's forming a bond. Hurting Vikki wasn't in the equation. Sharon believes it - but if Adam wants others to believe he's changed, he must back it up - with action. Adam will keep that in mind.

I love him like he's my own, Vikki tells Nick (as John sleeps).

Now that the baby's born, Victor's offering 'financial help' - so that Chelsea can start a new life (elsewhere). Ironic, Chelsea thinks - that he's so anxious to pay her off (to protect his daughter) - when he's the one who sent her to seduce Vikki's husband in the first place. Outside the door, Nikki listens - horrified.

Next: Dad's estate was pretty easy to settle, Avery informs - but I did find this. Phyllis stares at the yellow envelope with her name on it.... We can keep Fenmore safe HERE. You're living in a dream world, Lauren sneers at Nike... What the hell are you doing here? I told you to stay the hell away from my baby (Vikki's not happy to find Adam looking through the nursery window).

My Thoughts: Yes - Vikki DID accuse Adam of 'horrible things' last night - but the truly horrible part is that they were all true ... Silly Nikki - Jack can't 'squirm' - he'd need the wooden board under his ass to accomplish that. Why is Jack so obsessed with acquiring BofN anyway? It's a NEWMAN company. Can't he just be satisfied that he's got the family business he's been bellyaching over for the last several years?! Wasn't it all about getting Jabot back for his Dad? Maybe John can pop by to remind him of that (and to have a look at his namesake) ... Note that Nikki questions whether Jack's willing to be committed to Genevieve for 'God knows how long' (having a dozen divorces under her Gucci belt, she knows 'til death do you part' is a farce) ... Why WOULD Adam insist that his heroics be kept secret? At the very least, it'd get Vikki off his back (though having lost one baby, her fears aren't completely off base) ... Why does Nikki look so stunned to hear that Victor brought Chelsea along to seduce Billy? Of course he denied it - but how many times is she gonna catch him lying to her face (before acknowledging Victor's a liar)? ... Add Nikki to the list of people who think Genevieve's too 'smart' (though I have no idea what anyone's basing this opinion on)... Nice that Cane's having lunch with his estranged Mom - but why wasn't he present when Devon's ears were 'turned on'? ... Why are TWO private hospital rooms designated for ONE baby? .... What 'things' does Sharon have to 'shuffle around' (to sample perfume)? Does she mean Faith? This sniff test couldn't have been done at home? Or Faith couldn't have hung out with her parents? Whatever happened to that state of the art daycare NE had installed a few years ago? ... Sharon will have 'more work than she bargained for'? I assume that means she'll have more work that she's PAID for too .... Of COURSE one of the scents reminded Nick and Sharon of Cassie - they can name that one Eau du Formaldehyde.
