At CL's, Mike mopes over a text from Lauren (who's sorry they keep missing each other - talk tonight?). Kevin updates that he's taking Chloe to see the house - but no house warming gifts just yet.
At the mausoleum, Chloe tells Kay (and a weepy Ester) that she's gonna look at (then decline) the house - and be home by dinner.
On the patio, Tucker's scam will continue until he finds out if the BofN sale is binding/legal. It better be soon! Sofia hisses into her phone - then turns to whine about disrespecting Neil. He doesn't deserve that. Walking in, Neil gives both a suspicious look.
At CL's, Daniel tells Avery how he got the copy of Black Beauty (which he was told to throw out). Explaining where it came from, Avery hurries off.
At RS, Ricky pushes for a more important story than fashion fluff - but is told he has one; getting Daisy to talk. Ricky's on it - he won't let Phyllis down. On cue. Daisy calls - I need you. That kid's one hard worker, Harmony tells Phyllis (who admits she doesn't 'admire' Ricky - don't make the mistake of letting him into your 'inner circle')
A misunderstanding, Sofia assures - while Tucker tells Neil to stay out of it. If it upsets his wife, it DOES concern Neil (who doesn't believe that Tucker's just as upset as Sofia).
If Chloe's not moving, why is she going to look at it. Kevin got Delia all excited. But Chloe's sure she'll hate the retro house.
Assured he'll get his happy ending too, Daniel declines Kevin's offer to go to court - he's off the hook. Mike joins them - barring any surprises, he agrees Daniel should get sole custody.
Ricky finds Daisy all in a dither - she had to send Lucy to a sitter (because of a leak). You won't lose tomorrow, Ricky assures. Daisy isn't convinced - he didn't get dirt on Phyllis - or come up with a plan for sole custody. On Daisy's side, Ricky's sure there's something in Phyllis past. Daisy wishes for a secret - that would make Daniel turn on her too - leaving Phyllis all alone. That might take time - but Ricky IS working on something that'll ensure Daniel leaves the hearing a loser.
Warned about Ricky, Harmony will say an extra prayer (re: the hearing). Avery barges in - we need to talk. Introductions made, Harmony leaves Avery to scold Phyllis - you told Daniel to throw Dad's book away!?
Picking Chloe up, Kevin realizes she has issues with 'the house'. Sure it's free - but it has Angelina's stink all over it. But the house says 'The Fishers', Kevin always imagined Chloe and Delia there. Give the house a chance. If she doesn't like it, Kevin will sell - and never mention it again.
On the patio, Neil's sorry he lost it with Tucker - and offers Sofia a job at CI (as a valued employee - not someone kicked to the curb for speaking her mind). Sofia comes clean - she still works for Tucker - I've been lying to you.
At RS (about the book), Avery tries to convince Phyllis that George wanted her to remember the good times. Phyllis affirms that George doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt - from EITHER of them.
No - Daisy's not 'crushin' on Daniel; Lucy deserves both her parents. It could happen. Newsflash - when Daniel wins sole custody, Daisy will never see him OR Lucy again. Get! Out!!!! When you're done doodling Daisy Romalotti on your schoolbooks - and reality sets in - give me a call, Ricky exits.
Back at CL's, Mike gives Daniel a pep talk - don't provoke Daisy - be on your best behavior. Daisy calls to say she's running late - waiting for the manager. Sure, Daniel can pick Lucy up there (while Daisy waits for the manager).
At the mausoleum, Tucker and Kay discuss Devon regaining his hearing - then L'il John's homecoming party. Nothing about BofN has gone the way Tucker planned.
Sofia spills her guts (the fake blow ups - Tucker's plan to have her infiltrate NE). Disappointed, Neil thought they shared trust - respect. It's a mistake Sofia's trying to rectify. Neil can't do his right now (he leaves Sofia near tears).
At Daisy's, Daniel puts Lucy's shoes on while Daisy packs the diaper bag. Wouldn't it be fantastic if it was like this all the time? When Daniel won't even bother to repeat his answer, Daisy threatens to move (without leaving a forwarding address). Enjoy your time with Lucy - while you can.
Remembering family trips - building snowmen, Avery insists George was a good father (even when in prison). Do you hear what you're saying? You did homework in a prison visiting room - that's NOT normal. And what did he leave you? Phyllis continues - Nothing. He played you - against me. It kills Phyllis that Avery can't see it. Both upset, Avery flees in tears.
Her eyes now uncovered, Chloe's lead to the games room (which is declared 80's shoulder pad outta style). Unfailingly enthusiastic, Kevin's next stop? Delia's room.
At the club's bar, Mike calls his best buddy. Phyllis just wants to go home and have a shower. Avery comes along to say she's the reason Phyllis is pissed (and she's equally 'peeved') - so is invited to pull up a stool.
Daisy backpeddals - she didn't mean it - she just wants to take Lucy to have a normal life. And that's why she belongs with me - Daniel rolls his eyes as he carries Lucy out).
Over drinks, Avery whines (that she can't talk to Phyllis about their father) - then invites Mike to 'share'. Lauren's feelings (about Daisy) are justified - but we can't keep living this way, he sighs.
Back at CL's for his forgotten phone, Neil bumps into Harmony. At the mention of 'honest people', Neil's vague - someone he trusted let him down.
Meanwhile, Kay talks to Tucker about Sofia (and their special bond). Agreeing that things aren't always as they appear, she sees right through their make belief 'rift'.
Moping alone at the club, Sofia resists the urge to call Neil.
Hearing that the broken trust wasn't intentional - and was apologized for, Harmony thinks Neil should forgive. Thanked for the talk, she's just returning the favour.
Congratulations - you got me, Tucker admits. Kay doesn't approve of Sofia lying to her husband - but, as a business woman, thinks it great strategy. Both laugh.
OK - Kevin will call his Mom. Please do - and tell her she won't be selling OUR house, Chloe makes Kevin's day. We're home! The Fisher's group hug.
Mike gripes about Daisy - and Lauren's irrational reaction to her. He loves his wife - just venting. To our fascinating families, Mike and Avery toast and laugh.
At the penthouse, Phyllis declares Black Beauty a good book - maybe Lucy will like it. Daniel then relays Daisy's threat to leave town - this is why he's fighting for Lucy.
When Ricky comes knocking, Daisy stresses that she can't lose custody of Lucy - do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn't happen. Do it tonight.
Next: One bad day and you fall back into bad habits. I haven't touched a drink, Nikki fires back. Victor's talking about Jack Abbott .. Ricky assures Daisy - by the end of the night, you'll be well on your way to having full custody of your daughter ... Daniel's in a panic on the CL's patio. Lucy!? Where'd she go??
My Thoughts: When Kevin and Chloe are old(ish) they're gonna yell at kids to get off their lawn - and 'dress better'? ..... Huh? If Tucker's strategy was so brilliant, HE'D be the owner of BofN .... Why would Harmony even consider letting Ricky into her 'inner circle'? Other than working at RS, they have absolutely nothing in common .... Sofia the hypocrite - so bent outta shape because she made a VOW to Neil - and now she's *gasp* lying. What about the vows she made to Malcolm - specifically the one about forsaking all brothers, I mean others .... Why couldn't Daniel manage to put BOTH Lucy's shoes on by himself? They're velcro for heaven's sake ... Daisy's idle threat to move without giving Daniel a forwarding address is the kind of thing a Judge would disapprove of (especially after all her carrying on about her daughter needing both parents). Daisy wouldn't be able to just disappear anyway - I assume she has some restrictions - like signing in with a parole office once a week? .... Good one George. Yes I'm sure Avery's little pals were ever so 'jealous' - to be saddled with 'stuffed' shirt father's (instead of a cool orange jumpsuited Dad; who's 'adventures' likely consisted of getting through a communal shower in one piece) ... Yeah Chloe - who couldn't love a house with air hockey and a pink room (like any home couldn't easily include both) |
