Katherine offers to leave, but no – Neil is there to see her about some contracts. She doesn’t believe he
came ALL the way out just for that. No, this trip is more about Harmony.
At the AC bar, Ashley and Tucker discuss how good things have been since BoN was considered a done
deal. So why does he want to start this again?
At Phyllis’s door, Daisy cries that Lauren was going to kill her. Nick points out that it makes sense that
Lauren wouldn’t want to be around her. Daisy claims she was just shopping in a public place. Phyllis
interrupts – the same place she tried to poison Lauren. Daisy whines, what is this my fault? And walks
away. Nick says everyone made mistakes and still paying the price.
Michael and Avery arrive at the station where Jill repeats what happened. Daisy was pretended to
be innocently shopping but was actually taunting Lauren. Office Grainger arrives to update Michael.
He doesn’t recognize the gun, but confirms Lauren did have a permit. Alas, due to a backlog, the
arraignment isn’t until tomorrow. Michael vows that his wife will not spend the night in a jail and so
Avery goes off to the courthouse to see what she can do. Jill confesses that she knew about the gun,
since February, when Daisy was released. Lauren is brought in to exchange sad glances with Michael.
Yes – Neil did come to see Harmony. Kay hopes they’ll work it out and departs on an errand. Neil and
Harmony continue to duke it out. He’s ready – let’s put everything out on the table.
Tucker begins explaining his extraordinary business opportunity and wants to keep personal and
business separate from Ashley, who points out that sometimes being married has to make a difference.
She’s not comfortable with him and Genevieve associating, or him heading a company in direct
competition with Jabot. As your wife – please walk away. Tucker can’t answer now but doesn’t want to
lie and deceive her. He doesn’t know if he can do what she’s asking.
Nick tries to be understanding with Daisy; Phyllis, not so much. Sorry, Daniel’s out of town. Phyllis
whispers to Nick as Daisy walks away… it takes everything she has not to rip manipulative Daisy’s face
off. But is the story true? Let’s get to the station and find out.
Lauren and Michael embrace in a cell. How did this happen? Why didn’t she tell him about the gun? She
wanted to, but couldn’t keep leaning on him. No it wasn’t a rash decision – she bought the gun, got a
permit, took lessons, practiced… it was mostly just in the office. Never around Fen. She hid it because
she knew he wouldn’t approve and would think her unstable. The gun made her feel in control. Except
that today she lost control.
Tucker attempts to defend his need for BoN. If Ashley can’t be objective, then maybe he should talk
to someone else like Sofia, who always has Tucker’s best interests at heart. When he declines, Ashley
wonders if Sofia resigned after their fall-out. Here comes the revelation of more lies and deceit – the
fight was all a ploy.
Neil hates that Harmony felt she couldn’t go celebrate just because Sofia was there. Devon will notice
her not being there. Yes, Neil was bothered too. He missed her. But Neil wants to act like nothing’s
changed since the kiss. Except that Harmony liked the kiss. It’s not easy to be around him since. But it
wasn’t easy for Neil either. The kiss meant something to him too.
Jill confirms Daisy’s story to be true to Phyllis and Nick. When Jill admits to knowing about the gun,
Phyllis does as well.
Back in the cell, Lauren relates the story to Michael. Michael thinks the comments about Fen were just
to rile Lauren up, though Lauren defends that she will listen when someone is talking about stalking
their son. The next thing she knew, the gun was in her hands. Michael thinks it understandable; she was
frightened. Lauren never wanted to be this person; a burden to him. Michael loves her, but they can’t
continue to live this way.
Yes, Neil has felt the same all this time. They relive their intimate dance earlier. Harmony was scared
everyone would notice. She doesn’t want to make trouble for him. They can talk it out and agree that
it’ll never happen again. In time, it’ll be easier to be around each other. Neil doesn’t want to lose her
friendship. It could work… except Harmony’s an addict. But so is Neil. Harmony can’t promise she won’t
feel for him and so she has to stay away. She needs his help not to pressure her into being someone
she’s not.
Tucker’s on the defensive again about Sofia. Ashley wonders if he doesn’t trust her and walks out.
Avery returns but informs Phick that she couldn’t bump up the arraignment. In the cell, Michael works
on a plan. To avoid Daisy, they’ll have to move. Lauren agrees. Fen will be okay; they can’t go get him
tomorrow but Michael assures they’ll all be together very soon. Grainger arrives to escort Lauren away.
Lauren’s embarrassed to be seen like that by Phick but Grainger won’t allow a hug. Taken back the way
she came, Lauren and Michael exchange tearful I love yous.
Avery and Michael are surprised to hear that Daisy was the one to tell Phick. When he hears that Phyllis
knew about the gun, he’s upset that his friend doesn’t have his back. Does she realize what she’s done?
Dragging Phyllis by the arm Michael begins lecturing her. Nick attempts to intercede, asking Michael to
hear Phyllis out. But he can’t accept that keeping confidence on something like this – that could have
lead to attempted murder – is normal. At Avery’s suggestion to go separate ways, Michael thinks it a
good idea and storms out.
Kay’s with Jill at the boutique, waving around a pair of scissors while surprised to hear that Jill is going to
reopen, even without staff. Kay will tend to the salesfloor while Jill does paper work – she likes to think
she has a way with people.
Harmony is not going to neglect Devon because of the tension between her and Neil. Neil agrees to stay
away, despite how tough it will be. No need to make her life any more difficult. Neil departs with… a
kiss? No, he’s just reaching for his briefcase. Goodbye Neil.
A boutique customer can’t believe Katherine Chancellor was the one helping her. But what’s the point
of living if you stop surprising people? Ashley and Kay both surprise each other. Ashley is there to pick
up a gift for baby John and then go back to the office. Conversation turns to Tucker, Kay being glad that
they can talk about anything now, including the situation with Sofia. Ashley doesn’t look pleased to be
the last to know.
Harmony joins Tucker at the GCAC bar who’s drowning his sorrows. He notes her funk. Both their days
went downhill after the celebration. Tucker ponders how the person you love more than you’ve ever
loved anyone can make you feel like the biggest disappointment on the planet. He loves Ashley, but is
not sure if he’s cut out for marriage.
Back at Phyllis’s she wonders how the day could have gotten any worse after losing the custody hearing.
Nick’s got good news; this hellacious day has finally come to an end. Nick wouldn’t be anywhere else in
the world than there with her.
Avery and Michael are back at Crimson Lights talking strategy. He’ll talk to the DA and judge to make
sure Lauren is home tomorrow. Michael’s scared for Lauren. Terrified at what might happen next.
No, no problem that Tucker confided in Kay. Ashley just didn’t know anyone else knew. Leaving, Jill
appears with a cheerful hello. When Ashley responds with an equally cheerful goodbye, Jill wonders if it
was something she said. Kay thinks it was something SHE said.
Tucker’s been feeling this way for a while. Why is he confiding in Harmony? Maybe because she’s seen
him at his worst. True dat!
Neil joins Sofia and Moses at CL. Sofia’s got big news – Moses sat up by himself! All of Neil’s distractions
melt away as he congratulates Moses. Sofia looks on happily.
Avery talks it out. Lauren was goaded by veiled threats, reacted, acknowledges and regrets it. She’s not
someone out of control. But Michael’s seen this strong independent woman fall apart. What if she sees
Daisy again? Will she be more aggressive or just never leave the house? How will that effect Fen? Avery
is glad to help by listening. Michael finally breaks down.
Lauren’s in her new home, remembering times when Daisy had her locked up and promised to make her
suffer. Lauren shakes as she cries, it’s never going to end…
Next: Jack is intrigued to learn that his suit against Genevieve raised the SEC’s interest – but his wasn’t
the only one… Nikki to Victor: Today’s the day our daughter adopts her son. Chelsea wonders at Adam if
it’s a sign that she sees the baby the day she’s to give him up.
My thoughts: Apologizes for any typos, errors or weird content. My cat insisted she help tonight. Okay
writers. With allllll the surnames out there for allllll the scenes that Y&R shoots… the officer that’s
responsible for Lauren is Officer GRAINGER? Her former last name? Her oldest sons last name? Weird.
I laughed when Kay left Neil and Harmony in her living room saying “Have at it” while gesturing at the
couch. If she only knew. When Michael was speaking with Phick after seeing Lauren, I really thought he
was going to sing a Lauren version of Aerosmith’s “Janie’s Got a Gun”. And Nick’s comment to Phyllis
threw me. I know he’s trying to make her feel better, but is it really the only place in the world he wants
to be? Not with his kids? If Sharon had said it while consoling someone, the interwebz would be abuzz
with further accusations of her being a bad mother. |
