Billy and Vicki are cooing over John's crib. This is your Mommy, says Billy, the judge said so. Vicki says the best thing is that no one will come and take him away. We prayed for this, she says, let's have a christening to show our gratitude. Billy agrees that they should work on it. No, today, says Vicki.
Adam and Chelsea are at the GCAC. He asks her if she is mulling over Billy and Vicki's offer. Would you really leave GC? What's keeping me here, Chelsea asks.
Nick and Phylis are cuddling on her couch (clothes on). She apologizes for calling him over two days in a row to hear her wallowing about Lucy's custody. This isn't wallowing, this is cuddling, he replies, giving her a squeeze. She tells him he doesn't have to stay. You have to stop trying to get rid of me, he says. For the foreseeable future, I'm all yours.
Chloe and Abby are at CL, brainstorming about a theme for the charity gala. Chloe wants a ??? theme. Imagine Katherine to dress up in Japanese punk. Abby has her own bizarre theme. Both pass on each other's idea. Kevin overhears and thinks they should combine the themes. Chloe tells him to butt out. They keep bickering... no nudity, Chloe says. No Pretty in Pink references, Abby counters. Carmine walks in. Abby and Chloe shudder as he waves at them. The fact that he's a jerk and a pig is something they can agree on. Kevin goes inside and asks Jill how Mrs. C could think that having them plan the gala was a good idea. Who knows why Kay does anything, Jill replies. He asks her how Lauren is. Shaken - it was the least Jill could do to have them move in with her.
Nicki and Jack are at the mansion. She tells him that Sarge called and she knows he quit therapy. I guess that means you're having the surgery? Yes, Jack has already scheduled the consultation. Ashley bursts in. Jack? Tell me you're not serious.
Abby asks Chloe about Carmine. Did he really try to steal you? Chloe nods, just before our honeymoon. Abby tells her how she bumped into him with hot coffee and then had to take him to the hospital to have his hand treated. And he had the nerve to mock the Naked Heiress. Carmine approaches their table. He's not surprised that they are friends. Baby John arrives and they both rush over to see him. They all fuss over him. Billy's glad they are all here, as they've decided to have John christened today. Vicki tells Kevin, and then Chloe, how much their support has meant to her over the last while. Billy asks them to be godparents. They are surprised and happily agree.
Chelsea tells Adam that now that her son is settled, there is no reason to stay. What about your dad, Adam asks. He says he may not even be my dad. He could be my uncle. What about me, Adam says. Ever since you waddled over to me at the bar that day.... they laugh. He enjoys her friendship and wants her to stay.
Phylis tells Nick that it is hard to walk by Lucy's room and see her toys and know she won't be here again. She really wanted Daniel to step up but..... You wanted her to live her until she is 18, Nick finishes. What am I going to tell Summer? She will understand eventually Nick says. He offers food to make her feel better, but first a kiss.
Ashley reams Jack out while Nicki watches, arms crossed over her chest. The stem cells may not regenerate your spine, Ashley says, it's such a risk. Not to mention other complications, Nicki adds. You flatlined on the operating table last time. Jack's phone rings and it's Billy asking them to come to the church.
Vicki and Billy check in with each other. It is all planned. They leave CLs as Abby's phone rings. Good timing, she says. I'm going to Baby John's christening. You should totally come, she says to ????
If Jeffrey is my uncle, says Chelsea, then my dad is dead. And if Jeffrey is my dad, he might one day want to have a relationship with me.
Phylis and Nick are about to go to Gloworm. She goes back for her phone as Nick's phone rings. It's Vicki asking what he is doing. He is with Phylis and she tells him to bring her to the surprise christening. He says no, that Phylis is cut up about Lucy so it's not great timing. Vicki tells him it's fine, he should support Phylis. In Gloworm, Gloria starts going on about Daisy having the Lucy. She escorts them to their table, but stops to point out to Nick that his business partner, Sharon, is also there, dining alone.
All are gathered at the church. Delia and Reed have been playing. Chloe tells Delia that her and Kevin are John's godparents and ask her if she knows what that means. Delia is very cute and says it means they all have the same Mommy and Daddy (just about LOL). Kay explains that Murphy's at home, not feeling well and Esther is having a root canal. She says that John Sr. is looking down on them and he would be so proud. Kay takes Nicki aside to ask where Victor is. Nicki tells her how he didn't come to the adoption hearing. Abby breezes in, saying she has a surprise guest. NuKyle walks in, surprising his dad. Kyle is worried that he is crashing. No says Vicki, you're John's cousin. Jack thinks it's a great surprise. Nicki asks Kyle how his trip was. Fine, he says with some hesitation. It's time for the minister to the ceremony, which is very brief. Kyle looks over at Jack and Nicki holding hands and does not look happy.
Sharon tells Phylis that she is sorry that Daisy got custody. Jeffrey brings Phylis some lunch and she waves it away, looking like she's going to throw up. Phylis needs to leave. Nick tells her that if it is about Sharon, they can eat somewhere else. No, she says, I need to go home.
Adam and Chelsea arrive at Gloworm. She wants to see Jeffrey who has disappeared. Sharon comes over to their table and wishes Adam a happy birthday. It's your birthday? asks Chelsea. Later, Gloria drags Jeffrey to their table. He tells her that William was a good guy, but they never kept in touch. Jeffrey doesn't do the warm and fuzzy family thing. He bolts. Chelsea excuses herself. Next the whole christening party arrives, which has Gloria gushing. I'm a god-grandma she says. Delia says to her and Jeffrey, you're my grandma and grandma now. They look bewildered.
Nick and Phylis arrive back at her place with bags of groceries. Why did you ditch me in the store, he asks. It was the calamari, she says. We didn't eat calmari, he puzzles. It was the smell, it made me nauseous, and that hasn't happened since I was pregnant with Daniel. She pulls a pregnancy test out of the bag. Nick looks stunned. You're pregnant? I'm not sure until I take the test. Then go take the test and then we'll talk.
At Gloworm, Vicki wonders if they should ask Chelsea to join them. Chloe and Kevin don't think so, but Billy disagrees with them. Kyle grabs Abby's hand and pulls her away, he needs to talk to her. Jack is talking with Nicki and Ashley. Somehow the christening made him decided to cancel his surgery and work with Sarge again. They are very happy. Chelsea wants to leave but stops to congratulate them. Vicki asks if she'd like to stay, but she says no thanks. Sharon tells Vicki and Billy that she's glad it all worked out. She also thinks it was nice of them to invite Adam and Chelsea to stay. Well without them, we wouldn't have the baby. Oh, says Sharon, I thought it was for Adam's birthday. Vicki didn't know that it was. But that doesn't matter, Vicki says. He doesn't want to be part of our family. So if no one hangs up streamers and has a party for him, it's his own fault.
Kyle comes over to Jack and Nicki and tells him that everyone knows that he is hooking up with the woman that killed his mother. How can you hold the hand that bashed my mother's head in? You should be in jail for what you did. Nicki looks upset and all watch on in shock.
Back at Adam's room at GCAC, Chelsea says it's time to celebrate. She's ordered a cake from room service. Cue the sexy sax music. He tells her she doesn't have to pretend with him. Between the christening and Jeffrey's rejection, it's got to be rough.
Phylis and Nick are watching the kitchen timer. It doesn't have to change anything, says Phylis. We are good at being divorced and co-parenting. It will be twice as good if we have another kid. Nick looks at her lovingly and says “Marry me”. He loves her and wants to be with her all the time. He wants to marry her if she's pregnant or not. So will you marry me? Phylis doesn't answer and the kitchen timer rings. She heads upstairs.
Adam and Chelsea are dancing and kissing as Sharon walks down the hall with a birthday card in her hand. She pauses outside his door.
Nick looks out the window as Phylis comes downstairs. It's positive, she says, I'm pregnant. Nick grins from ear to ear.
At Gloworm, many photos are being taken. Abby's on her phone, are you sure you won't come back? Kyle, she says, you're going to make everything worse. Jack apologizes to Nicki, she should have told Kyle about them earlier. Nicki has decided she's going away for a few days so they can talk and not run into each other at the house. Ok, says Jack, wishing he could reach Kyle on the phone. I wonder where he is.
Kyle walks into Victor's office. Remember when you said that your home was my home?
NEXT: Avery tells Ricky, I can recognize a liar when I see one. Nick and Sharon are at CLs (how fitting). You're scaring me, she says, is someone sick? Now Jack's in Victor's office, you're using Kyle to get back at me and it's not going to happen, Jack bellows.
My Thoughts: It's about time one of the GC spawn questioned their weird-ass family. NuKyle is cute, but he looks about 30. The look on Jeffrey's face when Adam and Chelsea walked in was priceless. And I have to say that as a Phylis fan, it was great to get to write about Nick's FOURTH marriage proposal to her!
