Today's Spoiler

As the fireworks explode overhead, Jack blows out his candle and makes a wish. Victor and Sharon appear - Happy Birthday, she's not quite sincere. I'll be damned - another year older - none the wiser, Victor quips (Jack, Nikki and the Tucker's speechless).

At the station, Heather likens Malloy to Batman - always on top ....er ... of crime. He's there to find Abby (and do Phyllis a favour). He mentions the photos Adam took. Yeah - not one of Heather's prouder moments. Mike's lucky to have her on his team, Malloy praises.

Arriving at CL's, Mike isn't thrilled about keeping his BFF's son behind bars. He thanks God for Lauren and Fenmore. A worried Kevin appears to report that Eden's missing still.

Replay of the shouting - the shot fired - Ricky crashing through the window. Racing to look out, Paul's horrified - oh noooooo! Eden awakens - Paul? He's hyperventilating - clearly devastated over killing his son.

Oh God Ricky! Eden looks out the window. Paul?? Call the police, he cradles the gun.

Victor boasts that Malloy's closing in on Abby. That's right - he called in the FBI. And here's Jack - stuffing his face with cake. That's enough, Nikki snaps. And as a woman comes along to say she's praying for Abby - she's on the phone with Ashley - puzzling her with that news that she was never in danger.

Carmine in the shower, Abby's still on the phone - explaining that she kinda kidnapped herself - because the gala was a trainwreck. Does you have ANY idea what you've done?! Ashley shrieks about how worried they've been (as fireworks explode) - wait til your father gets his hands on you! Get home! They then bicker - when Abby hears Tucker in the background. Get your butt home! See you soon - love you. Love you too. Carmine comes out in a towel (which makes 'Princess' stammer about needing a cold shower).

With a hug, Ashley tells Tucker that Abby's safe - and coming home. Now, she's gotta tell Victor he was right.

And as Victor continues belittling Jack's search efforts, Ashley delivers incredible news - Abby's OK!

When an officer reports that shots have been fired at the club; Paul's involved, Heather and Malloy leap into action.

With the Baldwin's (at CL's), Kevin explains that he was supposed to meet Eden. WTH does Ricky have to do with it? Mike blusters - then gets a call (and reports Ricky's dead - someone shot him). Paul and Eden were there!

Eden wheeled out on a stretcher, cops coax the gun from Paul (to see who it's registered to etc.). Paul sobs - I can't do this!

Crossing the yellow police tape at the club, the Baldwin's are pounced on by Heather (who's told Paul may have shot her brother). Ricky!? Heather cries - hearing he fell through a window. She's not allowed to see Paul - Mike will go. Upstairs, Paul gets his fingerprints taken. Malloy arrives for an update - but is told Paul won't talk about it. Gimme 5 minutes (Ronan's sure he can get Paul to talk to HIM). Oh alright.

Hey buddy - Malloy needs to know what happened. Ricky's dead - Paul wishes there was something he coulda done. About what? Talked him down - he had a knife - Eden ...... My son was trying to kill her. He had the knife .... I didn't know what to do. Paul was trying to disarm him - but he fell through the window. We're taking good care of him, Malloy assures. Yes, Eden was there.

The doctor examines the bump on Eden's head - ordering tests and overnight observation. Kevin arrives - to hear what little she knows. Eden woke up on Ricky's floor (but has no idea why she was there).

Back at the park, Ashley explains that there was no kidnapping - Abby cooked it up - Victor was right. As Sharon rolls her eyes, Victor declares Ashley a good mother - but it's time to teach Abby a lesson - she can get herself out of this mess. Offering to call the search off, Nikki's not thrilled when Sharon decides to help. Left alone, it gives Victor 'great pleasure' to tell Jack 'I told you so'.

Lying - claiming that she ordered pizza, Abby sits Carmine down - for a talk; do you work out? THAT'S what she wants to talk about? Abby nods.

At the club's bar, Heather's an ugly crier - she didn't want to believe Paul was right about Ricky. He wouldn't hurt Ricky unless he was forced to, Lauren consoles. Mike joins them to update - Eden's OK - and hearing Malloy's with Paul, he heads upstairs.

Unable to get more out of Paul, Malloy offers a hug - we'll talk later. He then tells a detective that they need to talk to Eden, find this knife - and get Paul outta here. Mike arrives on the scene - but gets nothing out of Paul (who's lead downstairs). Left alone, Mike sneers at Malloy - who the hell deputized you?

Laying on the bed, Abby teases Carmine (who's doing Suduko). Both yawning, it's time for bed. Lay on my shoulder if you want. Thank you - a content Abby snuggles on his chest.

Back in Ricky's suite, Mike could have Malloy's job. For trying to help? He has little faith in GC's finest. This was NOT the way to handle things, Mike hisses. Yeah - but Malloy DID get Paul to talk.

At the bottom of the stairs, Heather hugs Paul as Lauren also lends support. I'm so sorry, is all Paul repeats. And as he's about to exit, Heather tells him he can't leave.

The detective and Kevin in her room, Eden can't remember much. Shown the text, she's not sure what her 'big news' was. Kevin might - Ricky had something to do with Daisy's disappearance. Alas, Eden can't even recall how she was knocked out. Waking up, she saw Paul - looking out the window. He had a gun - was distraught - told her to call the cops. No, Eden didn't see a knife.

The last to leave the park, Jack and Nikki gripe about the selfish Abby. She's a firecracker - makes life interesting alright. At least she's safe. Not from Victor, Jack grimaces.

At CL's, Victor's also griping (to Sharon) about his immature daughter. She's done some questionable things, they agree (Victor blaming it on the Abbott genes). Sharon's reasonable - at least she's safe (until Victor wrings her neck that is). But no - not tonight.

Carmine asleep, Abby sneaks outside with her phone.

On the patio, Tucker complains about Abby's latest publicity stunt. Not amused, Ashley gets another call (from Abby) Nothing's wrong. But looking at Carmine through the window, Abby just needs a bit more time to clear her head - see you in a coupla days ~click~

In her hospital bed, Eden remembers that Noah's in New York - why can't she remember what happened upstairs? What if she said the wrong thing (and got Paul in trouble)? Kevin's the voice of reason - you told the truth. Eden feels bad admitting it - but she's relieved Ricky's dead.

At the club's bar, the Baldwin's fret over Paul's mental state. Handed a folder, Mike gripes - why not arrest the whole town? First Daniel, now Paul. Tests on the gun indicate it was premeditated. Ridiculous, Lauren knows Paul didn't intend to kill his son. Then why's the gun unregistered? The serial numbers filed off? Uh oh - Lauren's worried.

Also at the club, Malloy updates Heather that Abby's kidnapping was a hoax. The detective joins them - to report that Eden didn't see a knife (which hasn't been located). No knife - no self defense. Oh come on, Heather balks - Paul's no murderer. Time for him to be taken downtown - but where IS he???

Next morning; Los Angeles. In a wheelchair, Isabella hums as she brushes her hair - not turning around as a weepy Paul talks to her back; he's got terrible news.

Next: I have no other course but to consider your Dad a fugitive, Mike tells Heather ... Phyllis makes her own conclusion - Ricky didn't just ship Daisy off? Which means your secret's safe, Daniel adds ... The gun that Paul had - was mine, Lauren confesses. Am I supposed to turn you in? Mike's obviously not happy.

My Thoughts: Do Nikki AND Sharon need to call off the search? Can't the cops pass the info around amongst themselves? And shouldn't Jack call off his 'people'? ... If Abby 'cooked up' the kidnapping hoax, it's the only thing she's ever 'cooked' ... Malloy assures Paul he's taking 'good care' of Ricky (and by good care, he means shoveling him off the pavement and into a body bag) .... Malloy's not sure how long he's in town - he'll have to see how things 'play out' (meaning with Phyllis and Chloe off the market, he might as well give Heather another go) ... Why is Victor taunting Jack (about his ineffective search skills) - it's his birthday and he's in a wheelchair for God's sake. Give it a rest. Obviously, he's jealous finding Nikki and Jack celebrating together ..... Of COURSE Ricky's the brother Paul's referring to Heather - he's the only brother you have. Huh? The cops won't give her any info? That's odd - considering she's the ADA ... Of COURSE Abby can 'get herself out of this mess' - she has 500 million dollars at her disposal - I'm sure she can afford bail, a lawyer - whatever's necessary. You broke the law! Ashley shrieks (like stealing sperm isn't some kinda misdemeanor) ..... Line of the day goes to Sharon (only because it came from her mouth) - Abby's done some 'questionable things'? What!? And YOU haven't? Abby hasn't bedded/wed two sons then moved on to their father - forged a passport in her daughter's name - pretended to be dead. I could go on and on - but the list is just too long. What are the writers doing to the character of Sharon? But of course Victor blames Abby's idiocy on Abbott genes (cause the Newman's never to anything 'questionable') .... Odd that Noah's in New York - with his cousin presumably kidnapped .... Carmine sure falls asleep quickly - guess he really WAS beat (though Abby's clearly wide awake) .... How can the cops have 'canvassed' the area and not found the knife? It's pretty big - and didn't just disappear. Speaking of which, how could they let Paul leave!? Poor guy - a sister AND an ex wife who's dangerous and mentally disturbed. How did he get to LA so fast? If it's that easy, you;d think he'd visit Nina more. Perhaps he can stop by the TV studio and let Billy know his niece is missing ... Gosh Malloy - that sure is a big FBI badge you're sporting ... Perhaps Mike should check the time Daisy's 'husband' was ordering pizza and bus tickets on the phone (cause Daniel was with Kevin at the time) And I'm still not getting how Daniel's blood ended up on Daisy's scarf (she left the apartment before he punched the table - and had it around her neck when Ricky cornered her in the alley ... Have a great weekend.
