Packing for their elopement in Kansas, Chelsea's amused that they have matching luggage. People at the airport will know they belong together. Kansas will soon be one of Chelsea's favourite places ~kiss~
At the ranch, Sharon talks about taking things slow - but admits she's worried about what people will think. As of today, you're the lady of the house, Victor announces. When Sharon can't accept, he wonders what she's worried about.
Chris assures Heather that this Phyllis thing won't distract her from defending Paul. Heather can't help - she's been banned from participating. Yeah well, Chris can request it. Wrapping up the legal talk, Chris leaves Heather to approach Daniel on the patio (with Lucy) - to update him that Chris is pushing for a warrant - attempted murder).
Hi - I heard you walked out on your wife - that didn't take long, Avery joins Nick at the club's bar (to scold him about breaking his wedding vows).
Unable to reach Nick, Phyllis needs to be there when he speaks to Summer. Her exit is stalled by Malloy showing up at her front door.
Of course Sharon's thought about what life with Victor would be like - but needs time - to consider the effect on her kids. Victor understands - but knows something else is bothering Sharon.
Chelsea frets over what dress to wear. She always pictured a traditional wedding. Adam has to go do something - they'll meet curbside.
Heather can only say that Chris is focused on Phyllis. Off the record, she hopes the Judge doesn't issue a warrant - then Paul will get the defense he deserves. Daniel jokes that they'll start a support group - adult kids with parents in the slammer.
Sure Avery may not know Phyllis as well as Nick does - but is there for her NOW (and can't believe Nick's not). Yes, Nick loves Phyllis - but this (and the lies) is a big deal. Now he must handle the kids. Avery doesn't think breaking up the family helps the kids - think of Summer - reconsider, she marches off.
.
Removing his FBI tag, Malloy's there as a friend. But anything I say can be used against me, Phyllis knows. Malloy just wants to help in any way he can.
Summer's home - and at the club tells Nick about being a camp counselor. Where's Mom? Dealing with some things - poor choices are coming back to bite her. Not the blog - jail time is possible. I can't leave you people alone for 5 minutes! Summer's not impressed - practically her whole family has been locked up this year.
No, Chris doesn't know Malloy's there. He likes Phyllis - and wants to help her. Phyllis appreciates having someone in her corner. Malloy gets a call. Expecting the warrant, Chris wonders if he's around to serve it. Yup ~click~ Phyllis guesses - how much time do I have? I need to find my daughter, Phyllis cries in Malloy's arms for a moment - then both leave the penthouse.
At CL's, Gloria's playing realtor with Adam (who finally shuts her up long enough to take Gen's old house). You'll be happy there, Glo shakes his hand.
At the club, Sharon calls up for Adam Newman's room. Getting no answer, she's about to leave when she bumps into Chelsea. Sharon doesn't like how they left things before. Don't worry about it - Adam didn't give it another thought. Sharon then wonders where Adam's taking Chelsea; Tahoe? That's where he took me. New Orleans? No - someplace special - close to his heart, Chelsea's vague.
At the ranch, Avery finishes her business with Victor - then is asked to establish a trust for young John Abbott. Same as Reed's - Billy's not to have access. Yes, Avery will be defending Phyllis. I see, Victor doesn't look impressed.
Phyllis joins Daniel, Lucy and Heather on the patio. No, he's not waiting for Summer. Heather leaves. See you later - but hopefully not tonight. Is that about me? Phyllis wonders if she's gonna be arrested.
Adam signs the paperwork for the new house - a surprise for Chelsea. The garden would be a lovely spot to marry, Glo also pithces G-worm's catering (and Chloe's party planning skills). Told Adam's eloping, Glo wishes him happiness (and is given his number - and the news that he'll be in Kansas).
Why is Sharon taking such an interest in their wedding? It's sad to see Chelsea being sucked in. Sharon believes Adam's rescuing her - day after day (after saving her from the pond). It's not a solid foundation for marriage - he'll come to his senses. He HAS - that's why he's with ME and not with you, Chelsea points out matter of factly.
So Adam doesn't love me? Chelsea balks - Is that the fairy tale Sharon tells herself at night (not aloud - cause Adam's Daddy would hear). This has nothing to do with Victor, Sharon claims. Adam arrives - yes - they're eloping. Good luck to you, Sharon scurries off. And Adam and Chelsea are off to elope.
Heather's back at the station with Chris - asked to pick up the warrant (as daughter of the victim, she can answer any questions the Judge has). On her way out, Heather gripes to Malloy (who's disapproval Chris is fully aware of). Why is SHE the bad guy? She and Paul were left for dead - on their wedding day! So what if it was years ago. Chris doesn't know or care if Phyllis has changed - does Malloy really think there should be NO consequences for her?
Nick suggests Summer go out of town for a while - it'll be rough with Mom in the news. Go to NY with Noah. No - Summer won't leave her Mom - and thank God she has Nick's support.
Summer's on her way, Phyllis tells Daniel (who updates that the Judge might be swearing out a warrant). Lucy in her lap, Phyllis remembers how Daniel had such faith in his powerful mother. That was so long ago - she's sorry she let him down.
At the club's bar, Sharon claims to have a gift for Adam and Chelsea - but can't remember where they're staying. Gloria just so happens to have the number of the bed n breakfast they're staying at in Kansas.
Back at the ranch, Victor understands - but hopes Avery won't forget her other responsibilities. Nothing will fall through the cracks, she assures - then gets an alerts on her phone. Phyllis? Yes. Victor looks troubled as Avery leaves.
Enforcing the law? Malloy accuses Chris of exploiting a loophole (which doesn't bother Chris). You've lost perspective. Maybe HE has (as Phyllis' former lover). What's wrong with settling an old score? Heather returns - you've got your warrant. Phyllis isn't at the penthouse, Malloy says. She's at CL's - but Heather suggests Chris wait to do it in private. No - Chris has waited long enough.
On the patio, Daniel hasn't expected heroics from Phyllis in a long time. This'll be in every media outlet 24/7, Phyllis frets that she'll be separated from Lucy. No, Daniel reassures - Phyllis' kids need her. Do what you have to do (within reason).
At CL's, Summer's worried but not updated when Heather and Chris show up with the warrant. Get Summer out of here, Phyllis pleads with Nick. Malloy quietly arrests her ... Avery races in. Deciding cuffs aren't necessary, Malloy hustles Phyllis out (this is your dream come true, she hisses at Chris).
Chelsea's charmed by their suite in the bed n breakfast. Adam's got 'something old' (His Mom's lace hankie ... Something new (a few dresses he can't see yet). Something borrowed - Anita's earrings... Something blue - a bra/pantie set. You have no idea how much I love you, Chelsea purrs ~kiss~
Sharon returns to the ranch - still with no answer on moving in. She's going to New York to discuss it with Noah - now. Victor's offer of the jet is declined - and as he takes a call, Sharon makes one of her own - booking a flight to Kansas - tonight.
Next: You're in trouble Phyllis, Mike says (in an interrogation room). What can you offer us? Avery asks.... In bed - Adam tells Chelsea that they should spend some time at the farm (where Sharon's knocking on the door right now!)
