~hug~ In an interrogation room, Heather assures Paul that he'll be back in his jeans and leather jacket soon (once Chris proves Ricky's murders - which may include Dr Tim). Paul's not too happy - his best shot at freedom - is proving his son was a killer.

Also at the station, Mike and Malloy are frustrated to have no proof of Paul's story (nothing on the knife - Rachel or Greg). No Daisy either. They too wonder whether Ricky killed Dr Tim.

Meanwhile, in another room, Tim's neighbour, Brett Butler is being interrogated by Chris (who wants to know who else visited Dr Tim).

TPTB want this on RS's first promo. Vikki's alarmed by the video clip that shows Nick punching Billy (replayed over and over to colour commentary). How does Vikki feel about her little brother being a star?

At the penthouse, Avery, Phyllis and Nick have a powwow - the credit card statement isn't enough. The prosecution's building a case. My BFF and DA, Phyllis reminds for anyone who forgot (oh - and the Bug and her 20 year vendetta). Avery will prove reasonable doubt. Nick's gonna go see Vikki - see if she can keep Billy on a leash.

My brother pounding my brother's face - for Phyllis of all people! Vikki whines. OK - so Billy can make it go away. Use it! she rejects that outright.

Really? Cause Billy WOULD pull the footage. Hey - if this is what the show needs - and Nick doesn't get a vote - he's married to Phyllis (who'd run the story if it weren't about her). Billy loves that they're on the same side - it'd be even greater if Vikki came to work by HIS side. And as Vikki runs upstairs to tend to Johnny, Billy logs online - to see what Phyllis is up to.

Back in the interrogation room, Paul wonders what 'truth' Chris will uncover - that Ricky was broke from neglect? He must have ached every day. Paul just wants Ricky to rest in peace. That's up to God, not Paul - maybe Ricky doesn't deserve peace. Paul can NOT be his last victim - fight!

A good man's in trouble, Chris 'begs' Tim's neighbour. She then hears about someone who warned Tim to be quiet. Not a 'he' - a good looking redhead; mean as a snake.

Let me defend myself, Phyllis wants to write the blog - about Chris. Avery's to be a sister, not a lawyer. The sisters briefly discuss their childhood - until Avery's phone beeps. Oh, we're gonna need something stronger than a 'sugar' fix.

Chris stomps out to Mike - to demand a copy of Phyllis' mugshot - now!

Nick drops by the Abbott's. Not to punch Billy again OR apologize - but to ask that Vikki get her husband to back off Summer's Mom; she's family. Vikki won't - and it's already started.

Billy's a jerk (who Phyllis taught well). He's already got the clip loaded to the RS website. It looks like we're scared of the truth getting out. We ARE scared, Avery's reminded.

What does Chris want with Phyllis' mugshot? Neither Malloy or Mike approve. Chris speculates - doubting Phyllis went to chat over tea with her former shrink (who also got a visit from Ricky).

Arriving at the station, Billy gets a frosty welcome from Heather. Justice on the hit and run might help Paul (so could public sympathy). Yes - he wants an anonymous tip from Heather (for his article on Paul as misunderstood hero).

Mike's now with Brett Butler (who quickly ID's the photo of Phyllis). Yup - that's her - and she was ready to claw someone's eyes out. Chris looks smug (Mike and Malloy not so much).

You're OK with Billy using ME to get ratings for his trash TV show!? Nick's horrified. Nobody told you to clock my husband! This is cupcakes compared to attempted murder, Vikki adds. How many horrible stories has PHYLLIS ran? Don't bring Lucy into this! Vikki scoffs at the idea that she's innocent - think of all the people Phyllis has hurt. Billy's salt of the earth? Yeah - but there's no blood on the fender of his car. Nick has a quote for Billy - his wife is not capable of attempted murder. Phyllis willfully tried to kill two people - and Nick defending her won't change that, Vikki has the last word.

Billy continues to work on Heather - he can put a halo over Paul's head (or distract from the gun in his hand). He could help HER image too. No - Heather's not interested (but thanks for asking). Billy then pesters Mike and Malloy (who order him out). Call me, he exits. That leaves Chris to be the one to update Heather - Phyllis may have graduated to homicide.

Avery's on the phone - trying to arrange a meeting with the Judge. Phyllis may like that Nick hit Billy (but the world doesn't need to see it). Nick returns - to hear the clip is all over the Internet. Avery exits (to make it go away) - leaving Phyllis to reward Nick with a hug.

Back at the station, Mike and Malloy update Heather - evidently Phyllis was 'forceful' - but yelling isn't murder. Chris is sure of her theory - Phyllis used lethal force against Dr Tim. Why would Ricky harm Tim? Phyllis has motive. No body - everyone's against Chris (who's reminded she's there as Paul's lawyer ONLY). Mike agrees - this isn't her case. Excuse us - we have a case to solve. Mike doesn't wanna admit he's best friends with a killer, Chris snipes (while Heather's annoyed that Chris is focused on Phyllis, while letting Paul rot in his cell).

Avery will get over it, Phyllis assures (happy that Nick defended her). Thank you for hitting Billy (and loving me) ~kiss/hug~

Billy finds Vikki in a sullen mood. You're not in the same league as Phyllis! Huh? Nick said this was about Lucy! Vikki won't waste any more time on Phyllis - or Nick. Billy talks her down.

Mike and Malloy aren't 'buyin' this crap. Ricky (not Phyllis) disposed of Tim - or he's out there. Should we look for him? Both realize it's best for Phyllis (and Paul) - but know Chris won't let it go. Mike must go talk to Phyllis. No - Malloy will do it.

Vikki and Billy are relaxing at the Abbott pool. Cheers to babysitters, they clink glasses. Oh how lucky the Abbott's are. Vikki wouldn't wanna ruin it by coming to work at RS (which is fine with Billy).

The Judge has issued a gag order - the site's shut down, Avery returns to report. But once it's on the web, it's everywhere, Phyllis is told to shut up and relax. Nick is heading to the office, Avery to CL's for treats (which leaves Phyllis to find Malloy at her door).

Again with Paul, Heather announces that Chris is sabotaging his case - to crucify Phyllis. Fire her now!

Poolside, Vikki and Billy's making out is interrupted by a call. A Judge pulled the RS promo - we can't publish anything about the trial - Avery's a feisty one. Billy's not troubled to hear that Vikki tipped Nick off. It's duck and cover time, Billy knows it's all gonna hit the fan.

At CL's, Avery scolds Nick for hitting Billy - on camera. Jackass or not, she can't have anything else go wrong with Phyllis' case. No more violence. The gag order's a big enough win to celebrate with a brownie - not the whole cake.

Is Malloy trying to avoid Phyllis' attorney or husband? Both - he's there as a friend, not a cop. But Malloy has a question; did she kill Tim Reid. Phyllis' answer is a slap across the face.

Next: You really have lost all perspective when it comes to Sharon, Nick says (which Victor finds very insulting).... When Nikki walks down that aisle, she's gonna find a smiling AND standing Jack, Sarge is told .... Chelsea warns Sharon - let me give you a piece of advice - don't ever try to come between me and Adam again.
