Smiling brightly, microphone in hand, Abby reports from the Newman tower - this is exclusive family drama that only SHE can deliver - don't touch that dial. On her first assignment, she promises one helluva show.

Inside the board room, Sharon turns her nose up at an update after the meeting - all she needs is Vikki to get out of her chair - so she can run this meeting.

No! No! A panicked Phyllis tries to resuscitate Tim. The door opened to cleavage, Kevin will come back when she's a bit more dressed. Help me save the sonofabitch! Phyllis drags Kevin inside.

Checking her slim wallet, Genevieve calls Gloria over. Refusing to put the meal on Tucker's tab, Glo suggests Gen live within her means. You're in luck, Gloria returns from Avery's table - the tab's been taken care of.

No! He's not gonna die here! Kevin finally makes Phyllis give up - your sonofabitch has no pulse - he's dead. NO!! does Phyllis really want Summer's allergy shot sticking out of him when the cops get here? Phyllis explains that her former shrink was blackmailing her. She planned to knock him out - let him wake up thinking he was a 'big man'. Yes - the cops DO have to find out! Kevin insists (as Billy knocks at the door).

It's me, Billy. Don't say a word - please - I didn't kill him, Phyllis quietly implores of Kevin. Billy won't believe me - please - I'll lose everything - please. I'm not going to prison - you know what it's like. She then tries a different angle - Tag n Grab doesn't need this bad publicity. Think of poor innocent little Delia. OK - stop talking, Kevin caves. Billy hears voices - maybe someone broke in - maybe he should call the cops.

Sharon sneers - what's Vikki doing here? She's not even on the payroll. She is, Nick corrects. OK - maybe Sharon can find a place - for her stepdaughter. The 'chairwoman' greets all - hands out copies of Caplan vs Caplan (proof she can take over in her husband's absence). Don't even think about messing with ME!!!!! Sharon won't be the 'little lady swept under the rug'.

I am NOT a charity case, Genevieve hold her head high. Of course not, Avery's summoned away by an SOS message from Vikki. Understand this - you do not pity me - it was a misunderstanding, Genevieve continues. Consider it my good deed for the day, Avery hurries out.

Still standing, Sharon assures that NE will thrive under her control. She'll make that perfectly clear at the press conference. When Nick chimes in, Sharon barks at him. As Vikki clears the room, Adam declines Sharon's invitation to stay (this'll be a bloodbath and he's wearing a new suit). Who do you think you are? Vikki snarls at Sharon.

What's going on in the boardroom? the press pounce as Tucker steps off the elevator. Pack it in for the night, he suggests - it'll be a while. Not going anywhere, Abby's calling Billy over.

Kevin's got Tim on the sofa - like he's sleeping (a la Weekend at Bernie's). Phyllis ain't lettin' Billy in. Loudly in the process of dialing 911, on the other side of the door, Billy gets Abby's call - summoning him to NE.

Back inside the penthouse, bedlam ensues. At Phyllis' insistence, Tim's rolled up inside a rug (to be taken to his apartment) - the police won't connect US to the body. Dead body moving - wow - it's been years, Kevin quips.

Skip the formalities - call me 'boss', Mrs Victor Newman is magnanimous to Vikki (who snarls - this reckless game won't last). You wanted nothing to do with NE OR your father - now you're playing helpful daughter? Pathetic. Sharon's merely trying to stop 'outsiders' from tarnishing Victor's name. Yeah, well, while Sharon was running around trying to marry anyone with the last name Newman, Vikki was running the company. Eventually, Nick sides with Vikki - Sharon, you're not a CEO. Well I am now! When Avery arrives, Vikki sputters about filing injunctions. Avery won't be filing anything, Sharon gloats - she works for ME.

Avery is NE's chief counsel - so - she works for ME, Sharon clarifies. Avery reluctantly admits she's right. Fine - Vikki will call Leslie. While they're wasting time and money, Sharon will run the company - NE won't come to a grinding halt on her watch!!!! Stand with me or against me.

In the hallway, Adam doesn't believe Tucker's shocked - someone's feeding Sharon info. Pointing the finger's the best way to shift focus of you, Tucker fires back. Sharon (and the rest) come out - plaster on your game faces and smiles - time to announce the new captain of the ship, Sharon beams.

As Billy joins Abby (waiting with the rest of the impatient press), Sharon (and company) file out. Abby interrupts Sharon (at the podium) - we'd like to hear it from the top dog. You're looking at her - NE is now in my very capable hands.

Phyllis and Kevin drive Tim (rolled up in a rug) through the night. Phyllis calming down a very nervous Kevin. On cue, a cruiser's lights and siren appear behind them.

Kevin's nearly hyperventilating - Phyllis won't pull over. Luckily, the police car passes them.

While her husband takes some much needed time off, Sharon announces that she will be running NE. The press has questions - where is Victor? He's not MIA, Sharon laughs - this is no hostile takeover - she has the family and board's support. The press wanting to hear from someone else, Adam steps forward to say they're excited to work with Mrs Newman. Nick? The details are being worked out (he quickly ends the press conference).

In the future, Sharon wants to review any statements they make to the press. Avery quietly assures she'll keep an eye on things. And as the Newman kids and Billy decide whether to print Sharon's statement, Nick thinks of someone who might get through to her; Adam.

Darlin' you were brilliant, Tucker praises as Sharon sashays in. That was exhilarating, Sharon gives him credit - and a kiss (which Genevieve walks in on).

No need for Genevieve to leave - Tucker forgot their appointment; it's been one helluva day. Sharon exits - have a nice evening. Jealous? Hardly - Genevieve's just shocked that Tucker's moving in on a married woman. Why did he lie about having a meeting? Mrs Newman too clingy? Genevieve's there for money. Good timing - the 'things' Tucker was talking about have fallen into place.

We need to talk - Nick approaches Adam in the hallway. Boardroom? After you. Aside, Vikki tells Billy to run the story - use RS to vilify Sharon.

At Tim's apartment, Kevin and Phyllis unroll him from the rug - and are dragging him around when they hear Brett tell a neighbour that she'll check on the noise complaint. And while Phyllis places Tim's medication and looks for her confession tape, 'Chuck's' in the hallway, to sell Brett encyclopedias.

Chuck tells a suspicious Brett about a warehouse sale. Despite the great deal, she's not interested. Meanwhile, Phyllis finds the tape - and puts Tim's laptop in her purse. Bye Tim. Unwilling to pay $400 for encyclopedias, Brett leaves Kevin to rejoin Phyllis (who owes him one). Using gloves, Kevin puts Tim's glasses back on - and out the pair go with the now empty carpet.

In the boardroom, Nick wants Adam to do what's best for the family and company - convince Sharon she's making a mistake. OK - Adam will see if he can get her to back off.

At G-worm, Sharon orders Gloria's most expensive champagne - to celebrate her taking the reigns at NE. Oh look, it's already on the news. Arriving, Abby stands by as Gloria brings out a bottle from Victor's collection. Sharon orders a round for all - except Abby (we all know what happens when SHE drinks). Charge this to the NE corporate account. Enjoy spending Dad's money while you can, Abby sneers.

Back at NE, Vikki wishes Mom would find Victor - his return's the only thing that'll stop Sharon (who's on the phone calling off the search for her husband).

Toasting with champagne, Tucker has a job for Genevieve - find Victor before anyone else.

Next: Were you just here working on the website? Chloe's at the penthouse - with Kevin and Phyllis ... I think you might be in over your head - you might be realizing that yourself, Adam tells Sharon (who tells HIM to go to hell) ... Tucker whispers to Genevieve - I'm giving you an opportunity to make a boatload of money right along with me.
