You made Abby fall? Ashley gently prods. Yes, but Max only wanted to embarrass her – it was a prank. Now people will think he was jealous of the baby. Ashley’s glad Max told her the truth. It’ll be OK, she promises (as Max clings to her)

After Hilary steps away to take a call, Devon tells Lily that this backstabbing Hilary isn’t the woman he married. Lily points out that Hilary’s always changing. She was funny and sweet, eager to better herself, Devon then reminds Lily that she advises him to work on the relationship. Lily won’t judge Hilary – face the problem head on.

Back at the park, Neil speaks passionately about the foundation – he’s making amends. Cane’s still pissed – Neil’s lie nearly wrecked his marriage. Yes Neil watched Cane try to help Devon (knowing he was the reason he was accused) Yes, Devon knows – we agreed that this can’t come out. Hilary begged him not to go public. Cane won’t tell ‘the entire world’ – but he will tell Lily.

My wife deserves to know who her Father is, Cane insists. Neil persists – he and Devon made peace. The damage is done – the family survived. Neil doesn’t want to lose Lily – ‘let he who is without sin cast the first stone’. Cane deceived the family by pretending to be dead. How would YOU feel if your little girl looked at you with resentment? Cane shouldn’t drag his beautiful wife through this.

Getting up to go speak to Abby, Lily comments that at least Devon’s issues with Hilary don’t involve crimes – talk to your wife, she instructs. Talk to me about what? Hilary appears. Meanwhile, Dylan again goes to look for Max – leaving Abby to tell Ben that she cares about Max but she needed to know. No, he’s not a ‘demon child’, he’s a child in pain. Max thinks I took his Mom away from him. He doesn’t want me to replace her. Ben can’t get past Abby thinking his son’s evil.

Sending Max into her office to play computer games, Ashley tells Neville that her blood ran cold at Max’s confession. Neville believes it was a prank. Ashley doesn’t agree – Abby saw something we didn’t. Max planned this – he planned the baby shower. And now he’s using me. So what now? Ashley knows what she has to do.

Abby knows that Max isn’t evil, he’s full of rage and pain. First, it was fights at school, accusing Ben of mistreating him, then my fall – the fire. It’s getting worse. He just needs time to adjust, Ben’s sure. No, he needs help, and Abby wants to be there for both of them. Ben will take care of his son – I’m all he has left. Getting a call from Ashley, Ben storms out of the club. When your Dad gets here, tell him what you told us, Ashley instructs Max (still at the lab)

Hilary got another huge donation for the foundation. No, the donor can’t just give the check to Neil – he leaves that to me. Hilary doesn’t mind posing for a few photos. She and Neil are ‘in a good place’. But he tried to get you kicked off the board, Devon wonders if there’s more to it. No, we’re family, Hilary has Neil’s back. Devon then announces that he knows about her blackmail and lies.

Cane’s summoned Lily to the park – he has something to talk to her about. Sit. Lily’s obediently ignores Neil’s call. Yes, Cane knows why he’s calling and needs to speak to Lily first. This is going to hurt you – but we don’t have secrets anymore. It’s about your Father.

At the bar, Abby mopes to Dylan – Ben shut me down and took off. He’s in denial, Dylan knows that Stitch carries a lot of guilt. This is more than a kid acting out – Ben can’t fix this, Abby says. Yes, she does know where Max might be.

Ben races into the outer lab (Max is in the office with Neville) Abby’s right about him, Ashley asks Ben to be objective; a doctor, a scientist. Listening to Max is the only way to fix this. Now let into the office, Ben and Max share a tight hug.

Cane finally spits it out. Neil’s been hiding something for a long time (so have Devon and Hilary) Neil kidnapped Hilary. Lily’s stunned.

The Hamilton’s bicker in the middle of the restaurant. Devon sees no remorse for Hilary’s threats and blackmail. She’s sorry Devon’s upset but it’s simple; Neil owes me. He never paid for what he did to us. Neil joins them – we have a much bigger problem than Hilary’s ego.
