Zack is with Abby at the club. His startup is way ahead thanks to the free space. He’s impressed that she delivered as promised and is happy to hear that the project now falls under the Newman Enterprises umbrella. Ending the meeting, Abby goes to greet Dina (who not so subtly hints that mixing business with pleasure makes things interesting)

Back at BnS, Vikki defends Cane to Mike. He was the one who talked her into hiring Juliet. She didn’t even get the job that was initially available; the job in marketing was a step-down. Juliet’s not happy with her severance package. She’s in debt and needs cash. Vikki’s infuriated – sexual harassment is a serious issue. Mike will prepare a response. We’re not settling, Vikki reiterates – we’ll see her in court.

Cane tells Lily that he and Juliet went out and had drinks in Tokyo (but that was it) When Lily suspects Hilary, Cane relays running in to her when going to the club to see Juliet. Of course Lily believes her husband. After she leaves to run some errands, Cane gets a text from Mike – we need to meet.

Reed runs over to greet Maddie, meet Erin and then introduce them to Noah. Do you ever get nervous onstage? Maddie asks. Sometimes, at first, Reed stammers. See you after, he rushes off to leave Erin gushing about how hot he is. Is he? Maddie hadn’t noticed.

Tessa’s starting to feel like a charity case. Devon wants her to feel like a talented musician. His company’s not a charity. When Noah steps in to say Tessa might need time to process his offer, Devon tells her to take all the time she needs. Tessa then watches as Noah brings Reed up to perform.

Over drinks at the club, Dina continues to pry about the young man Abby was meeting with and is proud to hear that she stuck to her guns and launched her own dream. Abby thinks that means a lot coming from such a successful business woman. Offering help and/or advice, Dina receives a warm hug before Abby goes off to take a call – and has her emotional face on when Jack and Ashley appear. They’re worried that Graham doesn’t have her best interest at heart. Jack will go tell Graham to go back to Paris and Dina can stay at the house. No, you mustn’t do that, Dina replies quickly and firmly.

Graham’s a companion – we’re your flesh and blood, we care about you, Jack persists. Ashley suspects that she walked in on Graham forcing her to return to Paris. Are you telling your family goodbye? Graham comes over to reinforce their theory.

As Reed finishes his song to applause, Noah encourages Tessa to accept Devon’s offer. What (or who) is stopping her?

Bumping into Vikki at the club, Abby wastes no time boasting that the idea her sister shot down was accepted by Victor and is now under the Newman umbrella. Good, Vikki’s glad Dad found one of kids to step in. You mean he’s settling for me because you and Nick won’t? Abby’s insulted.

You’re unbelievable, Lily comes through the revolving door to confront Hilary (on Jordan’s arm) This is about you and your husband (and the woman he sexually harassed) Hilary replies. You pushed Juliet into it – you’re pathetic, Lily’s sure that nothing will come of this. That remains to be seen, Hilary thinks.

Mike thanks Cane for coming over on short notice. After going through Juliet’s complaint, he wants to hear Cane’s side. Don’t leave anything out. Relaying what transpired in Tokyo, Cane does indeed leave something out. Told that the night ended after Juliet helped Cane to his room, Mike asks if he’s willing to testify to that under oath.

Maddie’s more impressed that Reed got up on stage than his ‘pretty good’ performance. When Reed talks about finding the zone, she thinks that sounds like her brother before a lacrosse game. He’d love to take Maddie out to a movie sometime. Thanking him for the invite, Maddie leaves Reed to realize he didn’t get her number.

Noah’s not demanding an explanation, he’s just trying to understand why Tessa’s not jumping about Devon’s great offer. Mariah takes over to hear that Tessa was freaked out to see someone from her past. We weren’t involved, we just knew the same people. Leaving Tessa with something to think about, Mariah looks pleased with herself when watching Noah kiss her.

Vikki’s proud of Abby for hanging in there with Dad and his games. She didn’t plan to show up during Abby’s presentation and sorry she wasn’t enthusiastic. Look what you’ve achieved – celebrate. Abby would settle for a family dinner. We’re all busy, Vikki says – then warns Abby to watch for something to come out of left field (it always does)
