Cole’s phone pings. He’s near tears when announcing the DNA results – Claire is our daughter. Victor and Nikki do NOT look happy.
Tucker hopes he never gave Audra the impression that she’s not appreciated. She’s one of the few people he respects and the only one he trusts. You call me out – you make this fun. He loves her brilliant mind – he loves it all. He’s doing all this for Audra – he wants CW for Devon and Jabot for her. It’s for revenge, Audra’s not buying his BS. He suddenly reads a text on his phone and shouts out – champagne for everyone!
Billy gets to walk away because he’s OK now. He’s going to work his ass off at his new job. He has a woman he adores – kids who respect him. He likes this guy. I love this guy – Jack will miss Billy. He’s then left to update Kyle and Diane. He’s leaving because of me, dammit. I’m to blame.
An overjoyed Vikki can’t wait to see Claire. She and Cole rush off to meet her at Memorial. Mike will meet them there. Victor’s left to hug a distressed Nikki.
You’re looking at the sole owner of the greatest cosmetics company in the world, Tucker announces. And we haven’t developed a single product yet, Audra clinks his tea cup. We will when Kyle comes through for us, Tucker adds.
Kyle understands how Billy feels. He’s about to announce what he and his Mom have been up to when Jack cuts him off. He needs to speak to Diane – alone.
Nikki worries that Vikki’s not feeling as strong as she’s portraying. We’ll protect her, Victor reassures.
At Memorial, Vikki and Cole are still absorbing the shock and vow to protect Claire. When Mike brings her in, Claire looks blankly at Vikki.
I’ll let you know when we’re done, Jack dismisses Kyle. Diane assumes Kyle will get his old position back now that Billy’s leaving. Jack’s not sure he will.
Claire wonders what she’s doing ‘here’. You want my DNA, don’t you? No, Vikki and Cole already have and tested it. Jordan wasn’t lying – you’re out daughter.
Welcoming Claire into our lives won’t be easy but what if we celebrated it? Victor excuses himself to take a call from the security guys searching for Claire. That gives Nikki a chance to finish what’s left in her flask. She’s then stunned at the sight of Jordan staring at her through the window.
My Thoughts: I have strong doubts that something as sensitive as DNA results would be delivered via a text message. You’d think there’d be some sort of verification procedure. I certainly hope Cole and Vikki aren’t being duped and that this is part of Jordan’s plan. It be incredibly cruel to have them grieve Eve’s loss again after all these years…. Shut up already, Victor. How many times have you vowed to protect Nikki and your kids. How many times have they been targeted anyway? Your security team sucks. One was tied up without his uniform and locked in a janitor’s closer – and whoever’s posted at the main gate seems to let everyone just access the property. You’d think someone as wealthy as Victor Newman would at least install one of those doorbell activated camera or intercom systems … hGiven Nikki’s ability to chug back large quantities of vodka and the size of her flask, Nikki’s either a very disciplined alcoholic who only hits her flask 4 times a day – or she must refill her flask VERY frequently.
