Ashley thinks they’d know if Martin had been living under their roof. Alan became a doctor after watching his twin slip into psychosis. Martin did pretend to be Alan, Jack reminds. Yes, he’s been a perfect gentleman, maybe too perfect. Traci could be in danger, Ashley begins to worry.
Traci loves being with Alan but the engagement was so sudden. She got swept away. Alan feels the same way – that’s why he wants to start their life together. What are we waiting for? Traci sees no need to rush. Alan wonders what happened to scare her off.
How can we find out for sure? Sharon trusted Alan because the Abbotts trusted him. Whoa – Nick reads all about his unstable twin brother, Martin, online.
Jack tells Ashley about Sharon and Phyllis being abducted, the mind games they were subjected to and the alerts Traci saw on Alan’s phone. It’s quite the coincidence. Quite disturbing, Ashley asks where he is now – we have to get to Traci.
Something’s changed, Alan’s suspicious. Traci thinks they should slow things down and learn more about each other. Alan doesn’t understand. Traci wants them both to be absolutely sure. He IS – has someone said something to make you back away from me??
When Chance drops by Sharon’s to update that the Paris clinic’s system was hacked and that they also found a lease for a farmhouse on the outskirts of GC, Phyllis is sure Laurent is guilty. Sharon suggests someone’s framing Alan. Is there something you’re not telling us? Nick asks.
Jack continues – Alan was in Paris preparing a surprise. Poor Traci, not knowing if she’s engaged to Martin, Ashley frets. She wants to be wrong, for it to be a misunderstanding – but Jack believes this man’s a threat.
Alan wonders whether Jack really considers him part of the family. He does – we’re going to have a beautiful wedding, Traci wants to marry him; she just wants to build towards a marriage that will last (since her others didn’t) Please respect my feelings, she implores.
Chance understands that they’re frustrated. Phyllis starts to flip out – what will it take!? Sharon needs to know now too. This person needs to be stopped!
Jack points out that Traci didn’t know Alan well. Ashley does remember a couple of things but brushed them off. If he hurts Traci I’ll kill him myself. She’s fine, Jack thinks they should get some sleep. No, Ashley needs to see Traci right now.
Alan left his work and home for Traci. She wants to relish every moment. The only thing that’s changed is the timeline. Isn’t making me comfortable enough? He knows she’s holding something back. I know you better than you think I do.
Whoever got their jollies torturing us can come after us any time, Phyllis sounds terrified. If Alan’s a suspect, we need to know. If he’s Alan, Chance blabs that Traci suspects Martin may have been the brother who survived.
Alan can read people – what they say, what they don’t say. Traci’s a writer – I’m an open book. He can see something different in her eyes – there’s no warmth in her voice – her body language is off.
Jack insists they talk to Traci in the morning.
Traci’s sorry if she’s hurt Alan. Are you waiting for me to reveal something? he wonders. You doubt me, don’t you?
Still in the lounge with Ashley, Jack answers his phone and hears Alan confronting Traci (who’s cleverly hiding her phone in the pocket of her robe)
