Victor’s only expecting a return on his investment. It’s nonsense, nothing, he snaps when Nikki wants more info – then is saved by the bell when Cole drops by. Dismissed by Victor, Nikki drops a grenade on her way out – hopefully you’ll be too busy (with Audra) to harass Jack and Kyle.

Diane won’t say anything to ruin the surprise and Harrison didn’t give any hints when he went to pick up some clothes. Let’s get it over with, Jack says. Diane will meet them at the house in a half hour – ring the doorbell. That leaves Kyle to ask why his Dad’s so unsettled.

At the tackhouse, Nikki comments that she just saw Cole – all three of you are glowing. When she grumbles about Victor’s arrangement with Audra, Claire immediately guesses what the plan is.

Cole was a human sponge – learning from executives to mailroom clerks. He gives Victor a book from Thailand; The Art Of War, signed by the former President of Taiwan. Victor shares his opinion on Claire’s relationship with Kyle. It’s not our decision to make, Cole’s told that his heart will break along with his daughters.

Jack goes on and on about how much the house means to him and his sisters; so many memories (except, of course, whatever childhood trauma Ashley suffered that she blocked out)

Back at the tackhouse, Cole’s vague when asked what he talked to Victor about. Mostly business, he leads the way – your carriage awaits.

Telling her lawyer that she’s happy with the terms, Audra strolls over to Kyle (at CL’s) Assuming she plans to compete with him in the cosmetics field, he’s surprised she hasn’t already suffered enough humiliation when Victor fired her from Glacade.

Over lunch at Society, Cole asks what happened while he was away. Vikki told him (by phone) what happened with Jordan and Ian – their reign of terror has come to an end. Claire updates with her ‘good news’; she and Kyle are moving in together.

Audra teases ‘nepo baby’, Kyle – she’ll earn her position (in the cosmetics world) Good luck competing with Jabot, he scoffs. Audra’s sure she can beat that old warhorse. I know the co-CEO and all his weaknesses pretty well, her words have the desired effects.

Though surprised to hear that Claire and Kyle are in love and moving in together (and yes, Victor did share his concerns) Cole will always support his daughter. After having a coughing fit, likely just a cold he picked up on the plane, Cole wants Kyle to come celebrate with them.

Ringing the doorbell, Jack and Kyle are told to close their eyes as she leads them through the same glass front door. Eyes opened, Jack wanders around. What do they think? Diane presses. Wow, Kyle utters. Jack? He’s speechless (probably wondering how the place could possibly look even more outdated than it did before he left)
