Victor approves; Nick doesn’t – Chelsea loves fashion and working at Marchetti. Is this move for her? Or for you?

So, Billy wants you (Sally) to replace my Mom and Adam wants you (Chelsea) to work at Newman Media, Summer confirms. She believes that Sally didn’t ‘lobby for this position’ but you told me fashion was your life – was that a lie?

Ian’s return affected Mariah more than she knew. I grew up with a predator as a father figure – he drugged me and tried to force me to marry him. Part of me is broken – I went to a very dark place (after hitting the mini bar)

Billy didn’t live here as long as his brother and sisters but this was the home John Abbott built – now, he’s gone. Sorry. It’s OK, Diane asked for honesty; she’s just caught off guard. I was too, Billy slams out.

Adam half expected Chelsea to turn him down -she’ll make her decision soon. Victor gives his approval. It’s not my place, Nick extends his hand – if this is what you and Chelsea want, I’m happy for you.

You’re both willing to throw it all way because your boyfriends want you to? Near tears, Summer supports Chelsea and Sally. She wants to talk them out of it but if it’s what you want, go for it. Adam and Billy better appreciate you as much as I do.

Summer will be ‘bummed’ if Chelsea leaves, Nick knows – but agrees when Adam assumes that Sally will take over her role.

Summer appreciates Sally and Chelsea’s honesty – we had a good run, didn’t we? To Marchetti women, they clink glasses and giggle.

Phyllis doesn’t need harmonica lessons from Tessa and she doesn’t need a friend – she already has one in Sharon. Reading a text from Summer, Phyllis thanks Tessa for the chat and heads off to Society.

Mariah did something that Ian would be proud of. I’m broken, Mom, but Ian’s not the one who broke me. What I did wasn’t out of character – it shows I have no character at all.

Summer ends a call saying that she’s flying out and not coming home until she finds Marchetti’s new creative director. Dad! After a hug, she tells Nick that she’s heading to Milan to find replacements for Sally and Chelsea. Arriving in time to give Summer a quick hug, Phyllis is left to ask Nick what’s next? Will you ask Sharon to work at Newman? How are you? he asks. I’m good, she lies.

Even if it was a drunken mistake, how can Mariah live with herself? One bad act doesn’t make you a bad person, Sharon encourages – if you can’t talk to me, talk to Tessa; she loves you.

Summer tells Diane that the house looks incredible. When Harrison walks in with Kyle, she informs them that she’s going to Europe on business. Hugging his Mom, Harrison has an idea – why don’t Dad and I come with you?

Summer will be too busy working but will call Harrison as soon as she lands – we’ll plan our own trip very soon ~hug~ After Harrison and Diane go upstairs, Kyle tells Summer that he and Claire are thinking about moving in together. No, he hasn’t told Harrison yet but agrees to wait until she gets back. Granted permission to give her a hug, Kyle leaves Summer to look sad and alone.

At the club with Billy, Sally relays her meeting with Summer – she told me to follow my heart. What does it say? Go for it. I want to do this with you.

Meanwhile, downstairs in the jazz lounge, Chelsea has champagne on ice. I’m saying yes, she hands Adam a glass. Sally won’t be filling in for me, she’s going to work with Billy – we’ll be competing with our exes. To you and me taking NM to new heights, they toast.

You can’t carry this secret all alone, Sharon again encourages Mariah to talk to Tessa; she’s a kind, compassionate soul. Yes, and that’s why my wife can never find out what I did.

Next Week: As promised, Damian reached out to Aristotle Dumas to try arrange a meeting between him and Lily. And? He wants to know why you want to meet with him and what you’re after …. I just joined the company, Chelsea tells Adam that she can’t help but question the timing – is this your father’s way of testing my loyalty? … Hear this, Phyllis gives Billy and Sally a warning – are you listening to me? You’re going to be sorry you did this to me.

Go Leafs Go!
