Not surprised to hear that Victor wants Adam to use Newman Media against his enemies, Chloe asks if Chelsea’s having second thoughts – it’s not too late to turn back.
I’m so sorry, Nikki hugs Claire – she admires her for speaking her mind but still thinks they should slow down – not to appease Victor but to give him time to accept it. She was surprised that they’d found a place. This is a big deal – you’ll be legally tied together. Claire admits that she was hesitant at first – because of grandpa. He’s not going to change his mind but neither am I.
Kyle knows how manipulative and relentless Victor can be – he might play dirty, threaten to disown Claire. She wouldn’t let him cut her off. Jack tells him to have faith in their relationship. I know what Victor’s capable of. You have no idea, Victor appears in the doorway.
Kyle Abbot – you will abandon the idea of living with my granddaughter. You will NOT buy my son’s apartment. I won’t let you destroy Claire’s heart and spirit – I’m through playing games. Or what? Kyle asks. You don’t want to find out, Victor leaves the Abbotts fuming.
Diane asked the same thing, Claire reports. That’s a first, Diane and I on the same page, Nikki thinks Claire will have to come up with a new strategy – everything with Victor is a negotiation. Try to warm his heart – meet him half way. If you move in together now you may never get his approval.

Victor’s next stop is Adam’s office. Yes, he talked to Claire and Kyle about selling them his place. Without talking to me? What were you thinking?! Victor scowls.
After a hug in the park, Claire tells Kyle that it went badly – her grandfather is disappointed in her. To be on the receiving end of his anger …. What happened at Jabot? Victor threw some grenades and forbade Kyle from moving in with Claire. He’ll try to squash the deal. Claire hopes Adam will stand up to his father.
Chelsea can’t tell Summer to forget it – enjoy your gelato. What have I done? Chloe knows she wants this but Victor will always run the show. Adam’s his puppet. What happens if Victor makes him choose? Chelsea’s sure Adam will do the right thing.
Victor doesn’t want the bond between Kyle and Claire to grow closer. Adam’s just thinking about the money. Back out of the deal, or else, Victor orders before marching out.

Next Week; Victor asks Phyllis what information she has to sell him. She won’t tell him anything until Victor promises her something in return…. My Thoughts: EB deserves a Daytime Emmy for being able to say, to Nikki ‘how many times have Vikki and Nick been divorced for heavens sake? They’re a bad example, aren’t they?’ Huh? I wouldn’t consider ANY of the Newmans a good example when it comes to marriage, or anything else. Victor and Nikki have said ‘I do’ a combined SIXTEEN times! …. Also in the running for hilarious line of the day is Adam – really? You’re selling your apartment because of the money? (said to the man who just handed you a ranch. Sure, ranch 1.0 seems to only have one room with a wetbar and a table that serves duel purpose as a chess table and dining table – but still, Adam doesn’t need money …. Is Adam’s place even on the market? Are Kyle and Claire getting a prenup? I mean, she’s only been working for Nikki at Chancellor for a few months… It IS incredibly selfish of Chelsea not to give Chloe a heads up. Sad that neither of her friends or mother in law bothered to call her. Nice of Chelsea to offer her the job but no one mentioned Chloe when ‘The Women of Marchetti’ met at Society…. Calling it now – the revealing of Aristotle Dumas will be as anti-climatic as the Abbott mansion reveal. Tucker? Cane? Jill? Colin?
