At Society, Devon and Nate are discussing a company that connects disadvantaged kids with music teachers (online) when their ‘closer’, Lily, joins them to ask how they feel about hiring Damian.

Holden and Damian catch up on the patio. Yes, he and Nate got along well in Boston and he spent some quality time with Lily as soon as he got back. Is that a problem? he scowls.

Chelsea’s irritated but not surprised that Victor expects them to put out another hit piece on Billy. Questioning the timing, she suspects he’s testing her loyalty.

At the club, Victor asks Billy if Phyllis was fired – or jumped ship like so many others.

Devon isn’t happy that Lily offered Damian a job. It was her idea to gauge his interest (which he seemed to be) Yes, she has a plan – if we can get Damian to …. Guessing where she’s going with this, Nate’s also unhappy about it.

Billy claims that he gave Phyllis some much needed time off. Declaring Sally a slight upgrade, Victor adds that she had a chance to make something of herself before leaving Adam for Billy (who wonders why Victor’s so obsessed with tearing him down)

Adam doesn’t think this has anything to do with Chelsea – or Billy – it has to do with Aristotle Dumas going after Chancellor. Chelsea has to ask – are you trying to protect Chancellor or go after Abbott Communications? Is it Victor’s idea to go after Billy? Or yours?

Wanting ‘Dame’ to be happy, Holden just worries that if he trusts people he’ll get hurt. Sorry that he’s been so distracted, Damian wants to show Holden how much he appreciates him ‘looking out’ for him. What if you take over my job in LA? It feels like you’re trying to get rid of me, Holden sulks.

Devon’s silent as Lily and Nate debate hiring Damian (who’s had a lot ‘thrown at him’) Yes, she agreed to take a step back – but, that was before she found out they were dealing with Aristotle Dumas.

Adam denies he’s using his Dad as a cover to go after Billy. It was my father who issued the ‘marching orders’. OK, Chelsea asks him to promise that he’ll never use Newman Media to try take Billy down.

Man to man? Victor corrects – man to boy. Billy sits to point out that he’s still standing (pun?) Count your blessings, Victor suggests they try something new. Sounds exciting, Billy wonders what he has in mind.

Hearing that Lily wants to use Damian to find out what Dumas is planning, Nate tells her what his brother said earlier – keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Devon doesn’t like it either but wants to hear his sister out. Lily doesn’t want to be burned by another hostile takeover or lose the family company.
