Back on the patio, Holden bristles about being offered a job a thousand miles away from Damian – are you sure Lily’s job offer is legit? They played you before – how do you know they aren’t doing so again?

Whose team are you on? Adam challenges Chelsea for attacking him and defending Billy. Reminding that they learned about OCD online to help Connor, Chelsea wants to help others. Happy when Adam agrees, Chelsea tells him that Billy’s busy with Abbott Communications. Then why is he in communication with Dumas? he wonders.

Granting Billy permission to stay in town (for now) Victor wants to know what he’s up to with Aristotle Dumas. (I swear, if I take a drink every time I hear that man’s name, I’ll die of liver failure)

Chelsea wants to hear more about Dumas. Sharing what little he knows, Adam makes the case that Billy might be working with Dumas to retake Chancellor.

When Billy mentions Dumas beating Victor on the ‘Caputo deal’, Victor claims he just drove the price up and made Dumas overpay. He knows they were supposed to meet but he keeps postponing it. If Billy tells him why they’re meeting, Victor will stop the avalanche of bad news that will tank Billy’s company before it even gets off the ground.

Damian tells Holden that Lily’s testing his loyalty. She thinks Dumas is planning to take Winters. If he wants it, he’ll go all in – there’s always a way if you want it bad enough. Holden correctly guesses he’s now talking about Lily.

Just because Lily’s happy working at Winters doesn’t mean she’s OK with the way things ended for her at Chancellor. Her plan is to have Damian tell Dumas that he’s working at Winters to look for weaknesses in the company. Nate won’t let his brother be used as a spy.

Lily feels for what Damian’s been through and doesn’t want to use him. It sounds that way to Nate, though he knows she likes him. A little too much, Devon chimes in. Lily will be honest with Damian, she won’t trick him and there will be a job for him at Winters. We put family before business.

Damian insists this is a business decision – he’d be a fool to turn down an opportunity to work with someone as talented as Lily. You’ve put your career on the back-burner long enough – you’re ready for this. Will Dumas trust me? Holden wonders. Damian will vouch for his loyalty – and we can still go to baseball games together. Deal – they shake hands.

Billy would love to see Victor lose Chancellor, Chelsea admits (but Victor turned his mother against him) She appreciates Adam’s honesty – we both hurt Billy; she doesn’t want to do it anymore. Maybe this was a mistake, she frets. This isn’t about my father, it’s about my son – believe in me – I’m different – we can make Newman Media as amazing a company as we are a couple ~hug~

Will you have Adam, your puppet, put out another hit piece on me from your personal propaganda platform? Billy can see that Victor’s scared of him. You don’t want to be caught between two ‘juggernauts’, Victor and his ego leave.

Holden appreciates Damian being willing to go to bat for him with Dumas but isn’t sold on this ‘course of action’. If you no longer trust Dumas, you’re throwing me to the wolves. He needs time to process it. Damian hasn’t made a decision yet. It sounds like you have one foot out the door, Holden needs to figure out what he’ll do. He leaves Damian to call Lily – what a nice surprise she says as she walks into the club. He wants to meet to discuss his decision.

Still at the club, Devon talks Nate into going along with Lily’s idea – this plan might be best for all of us. Nate doesn’t want the company to fall prey to another businessman (we’ve been there with Victor)

Victor shows up in Adam’s office to ask if Chelsea’s settling in. You want to know if she’ll go along with the plan, Adam tells his Dad that he has a better idea to handle Billy and Dumas.

Tell Dumas that if this meeting’s going to happen, it needs to happen now, Billy growls into his phone.
