I’m just here for coffee, I won’t talk to you, Phyllis (looking HOT) assures Daniel, then takes him up on his offer to sit/chat. Having done some soul searching, she’s decided to move on from Abbott Communications.

Billy joins his COO (at Society) to say that he just got some choice words from Victor; threats and insults. When Sally assumes Adam was right there with him, Billy confirms – he lead the charge.

In the park, Claire shares her grandmother’s suggestion that they both try to win Victor over by showing him how committed they are. You don’t really think that will work, do you? Kyle’s surprised/sceptical.

Mariah wipes away tears when Tessa joins her at the park overlook. How much longer are we going to do this? she asks. When are you going to tell me what’s wrong?

Phyllis is too good for Billy Abbott. Daniel agrees – it’s his loss. Just like that? The only reason she was excited about it was working with Daniel – he’s replaced me with his girlfriend.

Billy doesn’t see Phyllis as a threat, neither are Victor and Adam. We can avoid an attack – Victor will leave Abbott Communications alone if he tells Victor everything he knows about Dumas.

Claire wishes Kyle wouldn’t be so quick to write off Nikki’s idea. She’s hopeful that her grandfather will come around if they spend time together in a ‘relaxed situation’; like a picnic with Harrison. He’ll never stop hating me – Kyle’s sure ‘this isn’t the answer’.We have to find the answer, Claire’s determined.

Denying that she’s avoiding Tessa, Mariah weakly claims she’s been busy. You haven’t had dinner with Aria or tucked her into bed since you got back, Tessa again wonders if it’s because she asked Mariah to give Ian a second chance. It’s not about that but it is about Ian, Mariah admits.

Seeing Ian brought Mariah’s memories flooding back – he murdered Heather and drugged Sharon because of me. You were a victim, Tessa’s sorry she asked Mariah to forgive Ian. ‘Forgiveness’, Mariah sighs.

Not all things can be fixed, Kyle smiles. Claire wants to lead with understanding and kindness, not defiance. Kyle’s trying to understand – my family adores you – your family (except for Victor) approves – why is his opinion so important to you?

Phyllis blathers on about how unqualified Sally is – she’s only good at sewing things. And, when she goes off to look at fabric swatches, Billy will come running to me. I’ll ignore him because I’ve moved on. Daniel’s nervous about what his Mom will do next.

Billy hasn’t been able to meet with Dumas – who probably wants to use him to get insider info on Chancellor. Does that mean you’ll move on and focus on Abbott Communications? Sally asks. Almost, Billy replies.
