Phyllis only has positive goals and they include Daniel. We both need a new direction – let’s find it together. Daniel loves his Mom but let’s not. We don’t need Billy or his stupid company, Phyllis wants to build their own empire. Daniel’s facial reaction reads ‘are you nuts?’

Back at the park, Claire talks about secretly being in awe of Victor (while Jordan was raising her to hate him) She’s impressed that he grew up in an orphanage then built an empire and created an amazing family that always comes first. Kyle knows that Victor’s hate runs as deep as his love. After reciting (not nearly) everything Victor’s done to him and his family, Kyle’s still willing to try – but is saddened to hear that Claire’s grandmother had another idea – to slow things down.

Victor slipped up – he’s concerned about Dumas, Billy wants to use that to his benefit. He promises Sally that there’s no risk here. Yes, his plan is to pit Dumas and Victor against each other.

Tessa now has tears streaming down her face as she apologizes for being foolish enough to engage with Ian. If you can’t forgive me, maybe we should try counselling – we have to work through this. It’s not you who needs to be forgiven, Mariah looks devastated.

You and me, creating an empire – doing what exactly? And please don’t say Summers-Romalotti Communications, Daniel quips. We both need to work on ourselves. Phyllis doesn’t agree with the way Daniel’s fighting his demons – you need purpose. This is about what YOU need, Daniel can see that his Mom is ‘desperate’. Phyllis needs to have somewhere to go, something to do – with her son. She wants Daniel to thrive like Summer is. Let’s build something together.

Billy will set the stage for a ‘battle royale’ between Dumas and Victor (his money’s on Dumas) He assures Sally that he only sees Chancellor as a means to take Victor down.

What do you need to be forgiven for? Please tell me – there’s nothing you can’t tell me, Tessa pleads.

After seeing how mad Victor was, my grandmother thinks us moving in together will make things worse, Claire tells Kyle that Victor needs to ‘feel heard’. Sometimes, it feels like there’s three people in this relationship – but Kyle would do anything for Claire.

Victor won’t see this coming, Billy will pull the strings from behind the scenes. Watching him go down in flames is worth the risk. You don’t want Chancellor and will focus solely on Abbott Communications? Sally wants Billy to confirm.

Daniel’s not emotionally ready to think about what comes next. He can’t move on until he accepts that Heather’s gone. Phyllis persists – finding ‘purpose’ will help fill the void. OK – bring something to me and I’ll consider it, Daniel gives his Mom a ‘hard maybe’, not a promise. Phyllis vows to find something that lights a fire under their asses.

I’m here and ready to listen, Tessa loves Mariah – we will get through this – together – and be stronger than ever. Sorry, Mariah says before literally running off.

Hey, you OK? Daniel joins Tessa in the park – then puts his arm around her as she cries into his armpit.

Kyle doubts anything can change Victor’s mind about him. Claire thinks she knows a way.

Billy will keep a safe distance so he doesn’t become the fall guy. Dumas can take down Victor while he and Sally make Abbott Communications a rock star media company. It’s time Victor gets what he deserves. Are we good? We’re in this together, Sally thinks it’ll be one helluva ride. As they kiss, Phyllis has clearly been eavesdropping
