At Society for dinner, Sally encourages Billy not to waste time helping Dumas take Chancellor from Victor. Billy would like to see him (Victor) taken down – and Jill won’t like a stranger running her beloved company. Phyllis springs out like a jack in the box.
When ‘Chel’ drops by Adam’s office to express her concerns about working for a company Victor controls, it sounds to him like she’s backing out.
Lily wonders why Damian asked her to meet in the jazz lounge. He feels comfortable in this room and enjoys it because it’s special to her.
Chelsea’s niche is mental health and families – she wants to make a positive impact. That’s why Newman Media needs you – you’re my heart, Adam denies that his father controls him. Chelsea’s decided to stay – but will walk if he ‘goes low’ (especially against Billy) They agree to go out to dinner to celebrate.
Making it clear that she’s been eavesdropping, Phyllis claims that she’s moved on and will be working with her son – then looks completely stunned when Billy says he’s happy to hear it.
Over drinks in the lounge, Damian tells Lily that he’s made his decision but her answer to his question could change it. Why do you really want me at Winters?
Lily wants Damian for his expertise, contacts and ideas. Oh, and to make Dumas think that he ‘jumped ship’ to help him get Winters. Then, she assumes Dumas will tell Damian what his end game is. She’s asking Damian for his loyalty and trust – are you in?
Adam and Chelsea run into Victor at the club. He’s happy to hear that she’s accepted the job offer. When Victor asks for a private word, Adam tells Chelsea that he’ll call her later. She decides to get them a table instead. Yes, this is about Billy, Victor doesn’t like Adam’s plan – the news must be widespread that Billy’s incompetent.
You think you did me a favour!? Phyllis is OVER Abbott Communications. The phoenix has risen, Billy quips sarcastically. When he and Sally go to check on their dessert, Phyllis spots his phone on the table and covers it with a napkin.
That’s a hell of an ask, Damian doesn’t want to be in the middle of a hostile over – and why does Lily trust him now? She knows he wouldn’t hurt Nate and his mother by ratting her out to Dumas. Also, your father (Jackson) would be disappointed – and you want to impress me.
Pressuring Adam to go along with his plan, Victor instructs him not to publish the hit piece on Billy until he says so (giving Billy a chance to respond to his ultimatum) And you better not sell your apartment to Kyle and Claire. Now, go have a good time with Chelsea.
