At the club, Billy politely greets Chelsea then confronts Adam on Victor’s plan to ‘smear’ him. Your Dad overplayed his hand – I won’t cave to his ultimatum. Claiming that he’ll report ‘facts’, Adam tells Billy that he always loses because his father is always ten steps ahead of him.

Downstairs, in the lounge, Victor grants Phyllis five minutes. She has info on Aristotle Dumas and Billy – but before she shares it, she wants to know Victor’s ‘level of interest’.

Ending a call, Nate tells Audra that Damian and Amy are on their way over. Did Victor come through with the financing? Soon – these things take time – you should know that. Nate wonders if there’s something she’s not telling him.

Audra wishes Nate wasn’t so suspicious. He has damn good reason to be suspicious of Victor. She learned how to be ruthless from Tucker and having been burned by Victor before, she’s taken steps to ensure that doesn’t happen again. When Damian and Amy arrive, it’s all hugs and smiles.

When Billy calls Victor a cutthroat son of a bitch, Adam hopes Diane’s remodel didn’t touch ‘the shrine’ (of John Abbott) After Chelsea asks him to knock it off, Adam excuses himself to take a call. Do you regret getting back together with that guy? Billy has to ask.

After briefly discussing Summer, Victor tells Phyllis to get to the point. She won’t give up anything until Victor promises her a business opportunity for herself and Daniel. Why the hell would I invest in a venture I know nothing about? Victor demands details.

Damian thinks his Mom could use some rest. Amy’s touched to hear that Audra bought her a robe and slippers. We’re in your corner, Nate adds. Amy feels optimistic. And it’s all because of you, Damian credits his brother.

You and Adam don’t need to be friends or even talk to each other – it must be exhausting, Chelsea chides Billy. The Newmans and Abbotts have been the Hatfields and McCoys for decades but no, he doesn’t want that for Johnny and Katie but they’re living with Victor’s daughter, on his domain. Chelsea asks him to be the one to ‘not retaliate’.

Victor doesn’t believe that Phyllis has ‘a direct line’ to Dumas. She calls him arrogant – you always think you’re the one in control. Victor leans in to say that he IS in control. Why do you think I am where I am? And ‘you are … where’? Phyllis has info that both he and Dumas can use; she’ll take it to the highest bidder.

Billy can’t surrender. If I don’t fight back Victor and Adam will see it as weakness and eat me alive. It’s not even about me, it’s about Aristotle Dumas. Why? Chelsea asks. You’d have to ask your boyfriend (who returns to ask what he missed)
