In the park, Billy rants about Victor and Adam being obsessed with him – it’s exhausting. (They should) give it a break – get over it. Sally wishes HE would get over it too – you’re equally obsessed.
Nick encourages Phyllis to let the pain out. She resists – you’re the only person I’d let talk to me like this. What would I do without you?
Devon, Nate and Lily have all been summoned to Society for a meeting about Aristotle Dumas. Amanda walks it – she’s there for the meeting too. You’re not Dumas, are you? Devon asks.
A – Amanda. A – Aristotle. She’s worked for people with money and power for years and is a skilled negotiator – is it that far fetched that I’d become a tycoon? Actually, she represents Dumas and is there to answer all their questions.
Enabling Billy’s obsession is exhausting for Sally. It sounds stupid, he’s embarrassed to realize. He’d love to let it all go but can’t. They haven’t been able to take you down, Sally asserts that the only power they have is what you give them.
Phyllis knows Nick will always be there for her. Always, Nick agrees. No, Phyllis doesn’t need space – she wants him there. Then, that’s where he’ll be. Phyllis is caressing his cheek when Sharon appears.
It’s the perfect private spot for the perfect private moment, Sharon thinks their conversation looks too intense to be ‘about Summer’. Sharon suggests Phyllis take Harrison and join Summer in Milan. You deserve this – GO. OK, Phyllis tells Nick to pack his bags – we’re going to Milan. All three force an awkward laugh.
Still in the park, Billy’s on edge. Victor’s trying to destroy you; Adam’s his puppet – then, there’s Chelsea, Sally says – then orders him to sit down and do exactly what she says.
Aristotle is Amanda’s client – he does exist, and yes, she’s met him. My resume’s very impressive and I’m a good negotiator, she reminds Lily. Knowing it’s a fake name, Devon wonders what ‘Dumas’ wants with their company.
The awkward laughter petering out, Sharon wonders if Noah and Summer will find time to see each other. Faith accidentally packed Christian’s headphones in her bag – I’ll be home tonight if you want to get them, Sharon offers – Faith requested lasagna (Nick’s fave) Phyllis thanks Nick – and after he’s gone, Sharon asks what she was thanking him for.
In the park, Sally makes Billy take off his shoes and socks so he can ‘touch grass’. This is the earth, seeds, sunshine. Take a deep breath – close your eyes. Listen to the wind blah, blah, blah. Now, push your thoughts about Victor, Dumas etc. into a pile of leaves – push them away til they disappear. Open your eyes – what do you see? Billy leans in for a kiss.
