Audra tells Kyle that there’s a lot of buzz about her new product and anticipation for the rivalry between Vibtrante and Jabot. We should get ahead of it and control the narrative – play up the competition – it could be ‘the perfume war of the century’ and consumers will want to try both products. Think Pepsi vs Coke. With the help of influencers, this could really blow up. It could backfire too, Kyle’s intrigued but doesn’t see the benefit for Jabot. This is just a clever pitch for the start-up Vibrante to take advantage of Jabot’s established name.

Sally doesn’t want to deal with the hassle and drama of Phyllis – her life is in a great place. Yes, Billy has a lot to do with it, personally and professionally. If she must, Sally will fight back at Phyllis – hard.

Amanda feels for Daniel and Phyllis. But why does your backer have to be Dumas? Come clean. OK, Phyllis does have an agenda. It’ll blow your mind. Amanda looks sceptical.

Phyllis wonders why Dumas is interested in Chancellor – is he planning a takeover? If so, she’s all for it – Victor and Nikki deserve to fail for pulling the rug out from under me and Billy. Correctly guessing that Phyllis hopes Aristotle would put her in charge, Amanda praises the brazen/inspired plan but he won’t go for it. We could run Chancellor together, Phyllis pitches.

Audra reminds Kyle of the plot to Miracle on 34th street – helping the competition helped Macy’s. Reminded of Jabot’s sunscreen ad that went viral and exposed him to the world, Kyle shrugs off the ‘wardrobe malfunction’ as an accident. Audra persists – this could catapult both our companies. Kyle agrees to think about it.

It doesn’t matter (to Claire) they aren’t together now, unless you know otherwise. No, Holden’s not suggesting that – but he can tell Kyle and Audra know each other well. Maybe you’re the jealous one and maybe there’s more to YOUR relationship with Audra, Claire turns the tables.

We’d be dynamite together, Phyllis thinks Amanda wants to do something ‘cooler’ than law. I HAVE to make this work. You have to make what work? Billy asks when he and Sally enter the patio.

Holden asks what it’s like being the granddaughter of the great Victor Newman. Is he as intimidating as they say? My grandfather’s loving and would do anything to protect his family – like take a bullet. Holden’s heard that he can be ruthless towards his enemy – it must be tough dating Jack’s son. Claire’s about to respond when Kyle and Audra appear.

I’m talking to my friend, I don’t work for you anymore, Phyllis is insulted by Billy’s ‘wellness act’ and Sally’s fake politeness. You’re gonna find out soon enough that you made a huge mistake letting me go – I’m about to blow everyone out of the water. Sally’s glad to hear it – sounds like Billy letting you go was for the best.

Everything’s fine – Holden was just keeping me company while you two had your little meeting, Claire explains. How was your meeting? Interesting – Kyle will tell her all about it over dinner. When Audra bolts, Holden catches her at the revolving door to ask for clarification – are you trying to work with Kyle or secretly setting Jack’s son up to fail?

Back at the bar, Claire tells Kyle that Holden asks a lot of questions. Relaying Audra’s idea for a cosmetics battle royale, Kyle suspects there’s more to it. Maybe it has nothing to do with Jabot and everything to do with you, Claire suggests.

Phyllis continues to go all woman-scorned on Sally (who only got her job because she’s sleeping with Billy) Sally feels sorry for Phyllis – when you’ve been single as long as you’ve been you have a lot of steam to blow off. Billy asks Phyllis what her new venture is. What she has planned will blow everyone out of the water. Prepare to get your minds blown, she leaves Billy to ask Amanda if Phyllis really has something planned (the abundance of references to things blowing up leads me to believe there will be a literal explosion at Nikki’s party)
