Running into one another at Society, Nick and Phyllis talk about Summer and the young designer she’s been spending her time with. Since he’ll be in the neighbourhood, Nick might go see her. You’re going to Europe again??? Phyllis squawks.
Coming down to pour herself coffee, Diane’s surprised when Jack says he wants to leave on their honeymoon today. Right now, today?!
In the club’s dining room, Claire and Kyle hold hands across the table. Seeing her Dad so sick and weak scares her. How can he have the flu again???
Arriving at CL’s, Billy bids Chelsea ‘good morning’ and asks Adam if the ‘smear campaign’ is still on. When Adam claims he’s just waiting for the right time to do the most damage, Chelsea looks displeased.
Billy knows Adam doesn’t have any ammo – and if you publish lies, I’ll sue for defamation. He’d rather be ‘over his skis’ than walk in Adam’s shoes (having to please his Daddy) Do I even want to know what’s going on here? Sally arrives to ask. Chelsea thinks they should all just enjoy their coffee. When Billy and Sally go to the patio, Chelsea hopes Adam didn’t mean what he said about going after Billy.
Reassuring Claire, Kyle thinks Cole should see a doctor. He’s determined to fight it off with bed-rest and fluids, she frets.
Diane would love to ditch their commitments and leave today. They list all their destinations (ending in Paris) and all the nightmares they’ve been through (starting with Harrison being kidnapped) Jack wants to make a change to the itinerary – let’s skip Greece and go to France (to Aristotle’s party)
Having just come back from DC (the ‘King of Recluse left before she and Amanda even got there) Phyllis is stunned to hear that Nick and his whole family have been invited to Aristotle’s chateau. I should be on that guest list – you know that. Does he even know who you are? Nick doesn’t think Phyllis has a shot at getting him to finance her. Come on, everyone knows who I am – Phyllis has a new plan.
There’s only one way to find out what Dumas is up to – go to his place in Nice on Friday 13th. Jack and Diane find it highly suspicious that he invited the heads of the three biggest businesses in GC.
Phyllis realizes that Dumas likely won’t finance someone he’s hardly met. Hardly? Nick corrects – you mean never. Phyllis now has a less risky, less ambitious plan – she’ll sell Dumas her expertise and business savvy. He could find a place for me in his organization.
On the patio, Billy tells Sally that he got an intriguing invitation from Dumas – he’s invited the Winters, Abbotts and Newmans to his chateau.
Inside, Chelsea insists Adam keep his promise. He will (by concocting a bigger scandal for his Dad to focus on – and it might have just fallen into our laps)
