Knowing Claire’s exhausted, Kyle thinks she should go home and get some sleep. No, just some more coffee and she’ll be good to go to work. No kiss though (in case she gets Kyle sick) Hopefully, they were able to change Victor’s mind.
Jack appreciates Diane being open to changing their plans. She already cancelled their Greek cruise (knowing he’d want to go to France) They decide to be late for work (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
I’m your pal, your sounding board, Nick wants to hear the plan. Phyllis will only say that she has a specific company she’d be a perfect fit for. When Nick discourages her from working for someone so secretive, Phyllis declares him a hypocrite (since he’s flying to France to swim in his pool etc.)
Adam tells Chelsea that the family’s already circling the wagons against Aristotle Dumas. The Newmans have been invited to his chateau in France on Friday the 13th. What do I pack? Chelsea’s informed that they weren’t invited.
Maybe Dumas just wants to flaunt his wealth, Sally suggests. Billy doesn’t think so. He couldn’t get a meeting with him (after HE reached out to ME) and now he wants to meet with the three most powerful families in GC. He must know who and what Dumas is after. Don’t tell me you’re going, Sally balks.
Running into one another at the club, Claire quickly heads to work when Jack and Diane ask how her Dad is. Kyle’s feeling fine but was up all night wondering if he got through to Victor. Who cares? Claire cares. Jack and Diane are stunned to hear that Kyle made Victor an offer.
Billy wants to knock Victor off his pedestal. Sally points out that he’ll be jetting off right after their launch. Abbott Communications needs us to be focused. I walked away from my passion! Sally believes in the company and Billy; she refuses to let it be derailed by his feud with Victor.
Phyllis is insulted that Nick doesn’t think she can deal with a billionaire. You’re looking for trouble, he points out – we’re looking to avoid it. Dumas might be coming after Chancellor, he adds.
Diane hopes Kyle’s offer to Victor doesn’t compromise his integrity. Being in love can make you do foolish things – just ask your father. Jack hopes his son hasn’t made another bargain with the devil.
Chancellor won’t be stolen from us, Nick’s sure but who knows what underhanded crap Dumas might pull; he’s no boy scout. Amanda wouldn’t work for anyone shady, Phyllis knows. And when Nick mentions his Mom, she finds it sweet that he’s protective of her (and would protect Phyllis too) Glad that she’s in a better place, Nick warns her to Stay away from Dumas.
Billy needs to know why they’ve all been invited. Let Jack and Diane find out what Dumas is up to, Sally insists. Billy has a fix for doing right by Abbott Communications and finding out what Dumas is up to.
Adam’s clearly insulted that he was the only one who didn’t ‘make the cut’. Even Mike got invited. It was a snub, he pouts. He sees you as a threat, Chelsea gets Adam to agree that they’re better off not going – Dumas is setting a trap.
Kyle knows what he’s getting himself into – his eyes are wide open. Trust me on this. If Victor accepts my offer, I’ll be 100% in control.
Adam thinks Dumas is trying to trip up TGVN (which won’t work) He’ll use this time to fan the flames so his Dad focuses on Dumas and forgets about Billy.
Sally’s PISSED that Billy wants to postpone the launch by a month. It’ll make us look weak and unprofessional! Billy won’t budge – we need to know the players; the enemies and allies. Trust me. There is a bonus – I get to take you to Nice ~kiss~
Phyllis finally gets around to suggesting that she and Nick go to Italy to check out this guy Summer’s been hanging around with – then to France. Laughing at her badly butchered French, Nick is saved when his phone rings – leaving Phyllis to send Amanda a text asking if she can get her on the guest list.
