It’s gonna be OK, Mariah tries to shift the conversation back to work. You begged me to confide in you when I was in trouble, Sharon continues. How many times did I tell you not to worry – it’ll be OK. We both knew that wasn’t true. You didn’t give up on me – I won’t give up on you. Please let me help you carry this ~hug~
Mariah’s put up a wall between us, Tessa wonders if she should ask Sharon and the family to talk to her. Daniel thinks she should find a way to chip away at the wall. When Tessa starts strumming, he follows her.
Nikki and her kids discuss Dumas – he can’t take Chancellor but this party sounds like a trap. The Abbotts and Winters were also invited, Vikki’s surprised to hear. Dumas is no match for the Newmans, Nick’s confident.
Billy really wants to find out what Dumas’ end game is – maybe he wants us both to push Victor in the pool – but, he’s really looking forward to going to France with Sally. With a kiss, they decide to go upstairs. At the bar, Phyllis sends Amanda another text – if you don’t want me to crash this party, get me on the list.
Oh look! Tessa and Daniel have composed a song. As she sings some lyrics to it, Tessa starts to cry. They agree that she might need these lessons as much as Daniel does. He thinks it incredible to watch her put words to music – he could do it all day. Tessa’s glad she can help someone.
Sharon will be here when Mariah’s ready to talk. Mariah needs to go clear her head – alone, she hurries out.
Maybe Dumas plans to attack when everyone’s away. Vikki will be holding down the fort. Revealing himself to everyone is a big play. Nikki vows that they won’t come home without answers.
A desperate Phyllis calls Amanda – you got me on the guest list!? I love you so much – you’re the greatest friend! See you at Aristotle’s, she says loudly Billy and Sally return. Of course I’m going – anyone who’s anyone will be there. Assuming that doesn’t include them, Phyllis is promptly set straight by Sally.
Phyllis doesn’t think Billy should take Sally to the party. You just got invited – like a seat filler at the Oscars, Sally cracks back. Back and forth the ladies go until Daniel arrives. After Phyllis leads him off to share good news, Billy and Sally wonder why she was invited.
Nikki assures Vikki that everything will be alright – Cole will get better, she and Nick agree.
At the park overlook, an anguished Mariah flashes back to getting drunk in a bar. Someone looks like they could use a friend, a very old man stops by her table to observe.
Tessa’s surprised to find Mariah in the park. They make awkward small talk about the weather and Daniel picking up guitar pretty good – wanna hear the song we wrote together? As she strums and sings pointed lyrics, Mariah squirms – I love you so much. Tessa loves her too – please tell me what’s going on.
Vikki’s pep talk continues – Cole has you and Claire to watch over him. Love is the best medicine. He’ll get better soon.
Daniel correctly guesses his Mom was posturing for Billy and Sally. Phyllis is about to do something that’s going to blow everyone in this town out of the water.
Still at the bar, Billy and Sally continue to wonder why Phyllis is invited to the party. Neither are having second thoughts about going. As they look over, Phyllis waves. This is gonna be one helluva night, Billy grins.
Next Week: Those are some pretty exclusive invites, Audra tells Victor – a private party at Aristotle Dumas’ chateau in France. Holden listens as Victor tells her to convince Kyle to go on this trip…. Do I need to be on some VIP list to find out that my favourite rock star’s in town? Daniel says as he runs into his Dad and Christine at CL’s…There’s nothing safe in telling you what I did – nothing safe, at ALL, Mariah tells Tessa.
