The party might be a distraction, Victor thinks it possible the action might happen here. He has his own agenda in Nice. Adam will be his eyes and ears here. Paint a negative picture of Billy running Chancellor, Victor insists. He’s the only one with a connection to Dumas. He’ll make Dumas an ally – to bring down Billy.
Sally worries – please admit this could get vicious. You’re the COO of keeping me from doing anything reckless, Billy grins.
Doesn’t it get frustrating and exhausting? Chelsea asks. Nikki doesn’t get as worked up as she used to – love makes all the difference. You know who Adam is – you know who Victor is – pick your battles. Maybe Victor would negotiate. What do I have that Victor would want? Chelsea’s stumped. Something he’d feel was more valuable than revenge against Billy, Nikki concludes.
Jokes aside, if things get loud and plates are thrown we leave and put our feet in the sand, Billy sees another option – we can sit back and watch the fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, don’t think about Phyllis. Sally wasn’t – but what if she picks a fight with me in front of Dumas? We won’t go near her, Billy reassures – nothing bad will happen in Nice.
Taking Billy down was part of the ‘second wave’, Adam points out. Victor wants it done tomorrow (if he says so) You know the alternative. In the hallway, Chelsea asks Victor for his time. One hour at CL’s, he agrees. Adam’s surprised to hear that she’s meeting Victor to make him an offer for not going after Billy.
Meeting Nikki at Society, Victor suspects she’s the reason Chelsea wants to meet her. She has to decide whose side she’s on. She’s an outsider who works for Newman and lives with a Newman. No, Nikki didn’t give away her secret for dealing with a Newman.
This is between me and my father/boss – there’s no need for you to get in the middle of it, Adam’s mildly annoyed that Chelsea’s making a play. He feeds on revenge, Chelsea will offer Victor incentive to leave Billy alone. Adam wonders why she’d risk alienating Victor – are you not over your ex??
Still at the bar, Billy looks forward to their trip – there’s no downside. If it’s not our vibe, we’re out. You mean it? Sally’s won over – but promise me one thing…..
Nikki told Chelsea to bribe Victor with something he’d find worthwhile. I’m rooting for her and there’s no need to engage with the Abbotts. Victor found out that the only one in direct contact with Dumas is Billy, and if his plan includes Billy, he has no plan at all.
Sally wants a decadent trip with minimal drama. Promise we leave if things get messy. Billy gives his word – he knows when to lay his cards down and walk away. This will be a life changing trip for everyone ~kiss~
Why are you so protective of Billy? Because Chelsea feels guilty for betraying him and working for a company determined to bring him down. Adam’s not optimistic – what do you have that Victor wants? Information – Chelsea’s figured out who Dumas really is.
