Audra can’t beat us, Kyle’s sure – he wants to be the one to take her down. As much as he’d love to be there to witness it, he’ll have to humiliate her from afar.
Nate’s not being paranoid, he’s suspicious (and with good reason) Every move Dumas makes is calculated – this party is a tool, maybe a weapon. He might be going after Chancellor AND Winters, he warns Audra.
Finally convinced, Sharon goes up to pack – leaving Mariah to high five Nick and ask if this is ‘turning into a thing’.
There’s nothing nefarious about it, Audra reminds that both Chancellor and Winters are privately owned. There’s one thing that would put Nate’s mind at ease – I’ll go with you.
Kyle can’t go right now – he has to cover at Jabot and can’t leave Claire with her Dad so sick. Encouraged by his parents, he goes to run it by Claire. Now alone, Jack shares his suspicion with Diane that Audra’s setting a trap for Kyle (and Victor’s pulling her strings)
Chelsea’s heart is with Adam but will always care about Billy because he saved her life – plus, she feels guilty for betraying him. Victor has no reason to bargain for info he already has – he also knows who Aristotle Dumas is.
Nick admits that he and Sharon are getting closer again – it feels right. Mariah’s happy for her. Nick doesn’t know what’s going on, only that Sharon’s worried about her. My Mom can be a little ‘hover-y’, Mariah could use some space to figure things out. You can always come to me, Nick loves Mariah ~hug~
Jack and Diane realize that Victor is likely having Audra set Kyle up to look bad in the eyes of Claire and/or the cosmetics industry. He wants to destroy their relationship and Jabot. Luckily, Audra overplayed her hand.
It would be incredible if Nate could come to France with her – but Audra will be very busy. And, you’ll want to show your brother the ropes at Winters, be there for Amy and finalize details for the music festivals. Finally conceding, Nate accepts the invitation to go upstairs for a proper ‘au revoir’.
You’re bluffing. You’re bluffing. Chelsea and Victor challenge one another. He surprises her by guessing that she believes that Aristotle Dumas is really Tucker McCall.
Victor knows that Chelsea’s merely guessing because she has no proof to support her claim – and when she lists all the clues she’s put together, he hates to disappoint the ‘smart cookie’ but you’re wrong.
Why are you encouraging Kyle to go to Nice? And giving Audra a chance to publicly humiliate him? Diane wonders. Jack knows that Kyle wants to look Audra and Victor in the eye and tell them that they failed – he can’t do that from GC. He needs this win. It’s not Audra’s mind, Diane worries about – she’s not above weaponizing her sexuality. Jack knows Kyle wouldn’t hurt Claire – we’ll be there to make sure nothing happens – he’d love to watch their son beat Victor at his own game.
Victor has evidence – Tucker’s in prison in India. He admires her ‘pluck’ but stop protecting Billy and start protecting my son and Newman Media. If Tucker isn’t Aristotle, who is? Chelsea asks. Nice to see you, have a nice day, Victor leaves chuckling.
Sharon’s packed; her bags are already in the car. If you didn’t take the right things, you can go shopping, Mariah assures her Mom that she’ll take care of things at Cassidy First. After sending them off with hugs, her smile vanishes.
Kyle’s back to tell his parents that Claire told him to go to Nice.
At the revolving door, Audra declines a ride to the airport – she already called a ride-share. Nate makes her promise not to get in any trouble? Me? Trouble? she jokes with a kiss. When her phone pings, she lets Nate assume it’s her ride. Kyle’s text reads ‘see you in France’.
Victor returns to the ranch to confirm that Chelsea tried/failed to get him not to go after Billy. Nikki can’t help but be a bit nervous over what Dumas has in store for them. Unconcerned, Victor’s dealt with bigger fish – don’t worry.
