The first to arrive, the Newman foursome wanders around a very fancy train. Sharon assumes their ‘sleeping car’ is as ‘opulent’ as hers. Probably more so, Nikki says condescendingly. The caviar and champagne noted as being top notch, Sharon wonders why Victor’s so quiet. He’s getting the lay of the land, Nikki informs – to be ready. Ready for what? Battle.

‘Viva Vibrante! Text me when you land’, Nate texts Audra. When Holden joins him at the bar, Nate tells him he’s had a long day. Your ‘beef’ is with my brother, not me. Holden has no issue with Nate, but Damian’s a snake.

Over wine and apps at Society, a distracted Adam worries about his Dad’s reaction to him missing the deadline on publishing the hit pieces on Billy. Victor’s thousands of miles away and focused on meeting Dumas, Chelsea points out.

Getting the cold shoulder when thanking Nikki for letting her hitch a ride on the Newman jet, Sharon finds a ‘Welcome’ envelope and hands it to Victor. He reads aloud – Relax and enjoy the final leg of your journey; yada, yada, yada, ‘wait and hope’. Who does this guy think he is? Victor grunts rhetorically.

The way Nate sees it, both Damian and Holden were screwed over by Dumas. Yes, but Damian got a nice soft landing at the family firm. Nate was willing to hire Holden too. Holden wouldn’t take a job offered to him because Damian feels guilty – I can do better. Go conquer the world – show us all what we’re missing, Nate wishes him good luck.

Victor won’t forget about the deadline – he never forgets anything and probably has an alarm set for when the smear campaign goes online. It’s not ‘petty’ to him. Unless a new scandal drops in their lap, Adam’s fresh out of ideas. Chelsea really thought she was on to something. Who knew Tucker was in jail in India? Victor knew. He’s always ten steps ahead, Adam adds.

Victor suspects the quote ‘wait and hope’ is from the Count of Monte Cristo. Wondering whether the food/drink is poisoned, Nikki apologizes to Sharon for her thoughtless joke. Nick understands why Sharon would be on edge. She decides to pass on the champagne and caviar for now.

Damian felt terrible about how things went down with Dumas – HE’s the guy you should be mad at. Holden just wishes he’d seen his ‘best friend’ for who he is – from now on, he’s only looking out for himself. Audra says you’re a smart guy, Nate relays. What else did she say about me? Holden assumes she told him about their adventures in LA. Or not, he picks on Nate’s vibe – we’re all entitled to our secrets, right?

Adam hopes Victor will forget about Billy for five minutes when he locks horns with Dumas. Chelsea assumes Dumas has it all planned out. There can only be one top dog and that’s Victor, Adam’s money is on his ‘Pop’. You really admire him, Chelsea can see. She’d like to forget about all that and focus on running Newman Media the way it should be run. We can only delay the deadline so long, Adam knows that Victor usually gets what he wants.
