When Danny suggests that Daniel’s following in his footsteps, Daniel disagrees – you’re the rock legend. When he mentions how much he appreciates Tessa, Danny’s grateful that Daniel found a friend – you are just friends, right?

This feels like the end of the world to me, Mariah can’t keep hurting Tessa. Then stop, Tessa disagrees that they need time apart – trust me, trust my love for you – tell me what’s going on. I won’t let you leave me when you need me the most.

Adam’s hurt – he thought Chelsea could see that he’s grown/changed – that his love for his family is stronger than his hatred for Billy. Chelsea got scared; she’s missed red flags in past relationships but has now given Adam her whole heart. He’s fallen back in love with her – you make me whole. Chelsea feels Victor’s shadow. Adam knows his father won’t be happy when he finds out that he lied and won’t do his bidding.

Adam and Chelsea wish Victor would stay in France to fight the zombie apocalypse. There’s a lot of strong personalities under one roof. There will be hell to pay when Victor returns, Adam looks mildly concerned. Chelsea will face it with him ~kiss~ and now the clothes come off.

Nothing you can say or do will change my mind and nothing will fix this, Mariah refuses to put Tessa and Aria through hell. Having made a schedule to spend time with Aria, Mariah prays she’ll find a way back to the life they built together. I just need space and time to figure out if I can. With one more ‘I won’t/can’t tell you, Mariah pleads – please, just let me go. Do you really think I don’t know what you did? Tessa’s words cause Mariah to pause at the exit.

Things between me and Tessa are platonic – talking to her is so easy, Daniel then asks if things are OK with Chris. Better than OK. How would you feel if I asked Cricket to marry me? Danny asks.

You guys haven’t been back together very long, Daniel points out. Long enough to know that she’s my person, Danny jokes that he was hoping his son would be the one to break the news to Phyllis.

Tessa didn’t want to say it out loud – but since Mariah couldn’t fine the courage, she’ll say it for her. You got drunk and cheated on me. I’ve already forgiven you, she cries. You don’t have to tell me what you did – look at me, see me again. You’ve forgotten who I am – the woman who loves you. There is only one way through this, me by your side. Both are now openly crying.

It’s not as simple as a one night stand – you forgave that once; what Mariah did is so much worse – sorry, this is the way it has to be, she yet again runs out – leaving Tessa sobbing on the patio.

On the couch in Adam’s office, he and Chelsea joke about Connor saving the world from zombies. He’s going to be OK, isn’t he? Yes – and we are too. No matter what happens with Victor? Yes, Adam reassures – We’ll figure it out together.

At CL’s, Daniel spots Tessa crying on the patio. Looks like she could use a friend, Danny comments. Congratulating his Dad, Daniel joins Tessa on the patio. Mariah’s about to come back in when she watches Daniel offer to listen. Tessa looks towards the door (perhaps hearing it click shut) Initially, she doesn’t want to talk. But, when Daniel offers her space, Tessa jumps up. No – wait, she sobs in Daniel’s arms. Watching from outside, Mariah gasps for air and looks utterly broken.
