Lily apologizes for being quiet – it’s hard to hear people talk about Cane as if he wasn’t the man she once loved. Nick apologizes for being callous. Lily’s in shock but Damian’s helped her gain perspective (he takes her hand as a display of support)

Cane texts Holden a list of names to make connections with; Chelsea, Adam, Mariah, Claire (who he’s already getting to know) Be likeable and non-threatening, a good looking guy new to town. Making friends is an area Holden excels in – consider it done.

Telling Sally how much he trusts her, Billy’s convinced that Cane’s initial offer meant something – he gathered an audience for when he takes down the big man (Victor) I’ll have Chancellor, you’ll run Abbott Communications.

Holden recites the intriguing collection of names; Chelsea and Adam run Newman Media, Mariah works for Cassidy First Tech and Claire is Nikki’s assistant at Chancellor. With another reminder not to ask questions, Cane has another assignment – tell me everything about Damian and his relationship with Lily.

Lily agrees with Victor for once – Cane should stay away from GC. She needs answers. Nick and Sharon feel she’s owed that much. Damian agrees but instead of questioning Cane’s past we should focus on what he has planned for the future.

Damian’s fallen for Lily hard – he hired me because I’ll always have his back, Holden’s never seen him this interested in a woman. He doesn’t know if the ‘vibe’ is reciprocated but Lily is the reason Damian stayed in town. Asked why he cares, Cane has history with Lily and will protect her from being hurt by this ‘player’.

Nick doubts Cane’s surprises are over. Discussing the Count of Monte Cristo theme, Lily thinks it has Collin’s prints all over it. Cane told Victor that Collin was part of building this empire legitimately (which they doubt) We must be prepared for whatever Cane’s agenda is.

Toasting with champagne, Billy talks about getting Chancellor as if it’s a done deal. Cane’s call made him want what’s ‘rightfully’ his – and, if Victor goes down, c’est la vie.

Taking Victor down will be one helluva story to launch Abbott Communications, Billy only sees good things ahead – starting with this (they both sign the agreement) Done deal? Not quite, Sally writes ‘I love you’ on his hand.

Lily relays that Cane brought Chance here because he suspects someone might try to kill him. Sharon empathizes with what Lily’s going through but things could be worse. Lily’s sorry – we’re not being trapped by a crazed maniac. What’s the worst Cane can do? Keep us trapped here while he steals all our companies?

You clear on what I need you to do? Cane asks. Holden will make it happen. Thanks for the opportunity, I won’t disappoint, he shakes Cane’s hand and leaves him to daydream about dancing with Lily. Cane!? When did you get back in town? Chelsea’s stunned.
