At Society, Adam and Chelsea discuss her running Newman Media while he’s in France – as well as watching out for Newman Enterprises and Chancellor – and checking on Vikki.
Cole’s so glad Vikki and Claire made it back in time. For what? To say our goodbyes.
Running into one another on the patio, Tessa tells Daniel that no, she’s not OK. Mariah moved out. How can a marriage survive when one wife completely shuts out the other?
Meanwhile, Mariah’s agonizing in the park. What have I done? she asks herself.
Adam wonders if Dumas is really Cane’s father or even Cane himself. If so, he’ll be there for the fireworks.
Daniel told himself the same lie Mariah did (running away from Heather and Lucy to protect them) Tessa only knows that what Mariah did is worse than cheating – hoe can I help her if she won’t talk to me???
Speaking fireworks, Chelsea wonders if Victor will confront Adam over not publishing the hit pieces on Billy. He can’t shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen to his family.
* Sorry, no time for spellcheck or proofreading etc.
We all know what’s happening here – Cole won’t waste his last breath on denial. My heart is so full of love for the two of you but my body is failing me. He won’t let Claire go get the doctor – he might not be here when she gets back. Tears are shed as loving words are shared between father and daughter.
Still at Society, Adam continues to worry – Dumas is buying buildings all over town, including the GCAC (the heart and soul of GC) Chelsea thinks he and Victor will figure out what Dumas is up to. Spotting them through the window, Holden checks the list of names Cane sent him.
Tessa told Mariah that she’d give her all the time she needs and will forgive her. All she can do is wait and hope she figures things out and misses them enough to come back. Nothing will change how I feel about her. There’s nothing she could do that you wouldn’t forgive? Daniel’s sceptical.
His voice hoarse, Cole continues to say goodbye until Claire runs out in tears. Now it’s Vikki’s turn. We got our second chance, he’ll be waiting for her on the other side. And’ as she gives him one last kiss, Cole quietly passes away.
