No, no, Victor’s not insulting Cane – I’m blown away by what you’ve accomplished in such a short period of time. Seated on a bench in the maze, Victor suggests they work together.

Blackmail’s an ugly word, Phyllis hasn’t made any threats – she just wants to show that she’s a team player. I’ll tell Cane myself; he’s impressed by my ambition and is considering me to be part of his organization. Phyllis knows Cane went to GC; he obviously has something planned. I’m your friend, trust me, Phyllis already considers herself part of the team. Cane appears to say he’s glad to hear that – how far would you go to stay on the team?

Nick knows his Dad won’t admit it but bets he admires what Cane’s built here. Don’t worry about Chancellor. Nikki also worries that Victor will talk Cane into going after Jack. Another classic ‘Dad move’, Nick loves it but doubts Cane will go for it – he wants to be in control. They still have questions about his end game. When Victor returns to the train, Nikki asks what they talked about.

Phyllis would go as far as she had to as long as she has a commitment from Cane. She knows all the players and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. Cane’s aware of her ‘colourful reputation’ and could use someone like Phyllis on his team. Who would you be willing to betray to show me you’re a team player? Would you throw Billy or Jack under the bus? And Nick?

Victor reports that he and Cane had a pleasant talk but are both keeping their cards close to the vest. We can bring him over to our camp, he’s sure. All three are stunned when Adam arrives. How did you get here!? It wasn’t easy (Adam looks like he’s just run a triatholon) I can’t believe I found you!

Given a drink of water, Adam explains that he bribed a local to find the chateau and is surprised to hear they haven’t stepped foot in it – only the train and in and out of a maze. It took Adam three hours to walk to the top of the cliff (good thing I wore comfortable shoes) Cole’s been transferred back to Memorial, he reports – it’s been tough on Vic and Claire. If Adam can walk up this mountain, we can walk down, Nikki MUST talk to them. No, they haven’t received Adam’s messages. He came to bring them news about Dumas – you won’t like it one bit and you won’t believe who it is. Collin? Adam guesses. Close, it’s his son (Adam and and Chelsea’s second guess) Arabesque has been buying up properties in GC close to Jabot and Newman, divisions of Chancellor you sold and the GCAC. Chelsea ran into Cane in GC – yesterday. So, there IS a way out of here, the Newman captives are stunned.

Phyllis is in. Yes, but Cane wants a straight answer – who would you be willing to sacrifice? When she guesses he’s going after Abbott Communications or Jabot, Cane’s annoyed – connect the dots! I don’t want one of them, I want all of them; Abbott Communications, Jabot, Chancellor AND Newman Enterprises.

All of them? Phyllis doesn’t know what to say. Cane knows some people would think he’s bitten off more than he could chew. Does he have a plan? Phyllis asks Amanda (who will never underestimate what Cane Ashby can do) Phyllis is onboard. I want to be by your side. What about your friends? Cane asks. Billy’s thrown me under the bus and Jack will know it’s just business – and Yes, Phyllis would even betray Nick.

The Newmans are pissed but Victor doesn’t want to leave yet. Adam knows that look – you have a plan. Victor thinks it time Cane starts playing HIS game.

Next Week: So, what do you say about brainstorming some ideas for the 2.0 version of our feud? a scantily clad Audra asks. How about you get dressed and we can talk in the dining area over lunch? Kyle’s ready to leave her sleeping-car. No need, Audra will get dressed right here – she smirks smugly to herself as she turns her back, removes her satin robe and bends over to give Kyle an eyeful …. Danny tells Daniel that tonight’s the night – he’s going to ask Chris to marry him…. At Society, Danny makes a toast to Chris – to our connection, to our past and our future…. I know you’re angry, Mariah says. I deserve it – you’re furious – I get it. Tessa is indeed furious – that’s SO great that you have the opportunity to know how I feel when I have NO idea what’s going on with YOU. Maybe we should make the separation permanent … Damian can’t blame Cane for pulling out all the stops to win Lily back. I can understand that. Lily needs something new and won’t be held back anymore. Cane emerges from the hedges to watch them kiss.

My Thoughts: Nikki’s evening eye shadow is way too harsh for daytime in France (or anywhere else) … Are there no flies or insects in France? I can’t put a sandwich outside without them descending. Seems like they’d be having a feast on the all-day-all-you-can-eat smorgasborg … And I’d love to see Amanda try to take a bite of her giant croissant … What happened to Sharon and the rest of the guests? Has Abby even spent time with her family other than giving her Dad a kiss when she arrived? Billy’s going to be super pissed when he bumps into Adam at Le iHop … So, Cane’s been able to hide his identity for six years and all Adam had to do to gain access to the billionaire’s private train was bribe a local to get the exact location of the chateau? Why would Cane consider inviting Phyllis to be part of their ‘team’ without running it by his lawyer in private first? He knows there’s tension between the ladies because he said so when walking right into it? What could he possibly gain by buying up properties close to the businesses he wants to go after? .. Perhaps Cane should have added Phyllis’ name to the list he asked Holden to look into. If he’s so rich, why didn’t Cane just hire real private investigators?
