Lost in the maze, Diane assures Jack that everyone’s fine at home – her main concern is Kyle spending time with Audra.
Back in the trains’ bar-car, Phyllis didn’t recognize Billy without his ‘little friend’. Sally’s gone for a swim? Without you? she makes another ‘joke’. We’re the only two who know what’s at stake here.
Billy’s had it with people badmouthing Sally. Phyllis knows he has his sights set on Cane as much as she does.
Damian and Lily walk through the maze hand in hand. You two seem very cheerful, Cane asks if they’re a couple now. Yes, we are, Lily thanks her ex for stranding them in such a ‘romantic setting’.
Still wandering around the maze, Jack wishes they’d left breadcrumbs to find their way out. Diane feels like a rat going through a maze to find cheese. They have every reason to be ‘wary’ of the new Cane Ashby.
Amanda takes Lily off for a walk in one direction, Cane pulls out a fresh bottle of booze and leads Damian in the other direction.
Back in the train, Billy points out that he and Cane were practically brothers, while Phyllis has no relationship with him. Oh please, you hated him; it had to hurt that your Mom loved him best, Phyllis guesses Billy’s plan is to team up with Cane to go after Chancellor.
When Phyllis gloats that she’s had several talks with Cane while Billy can’t get a meeting with him, Billy admits she’s right and wishes her luck – may the best schemer win. Perfect timing, he says when Nick and Sharon arrive. Phyllis knows Cane’s plan but is stonewalling me – he hopes they brought a chisel.
Opening the bottle of Scotch, Cane toasts Damian (who’s not surprised that he found the good stuff – but wonders ‘why are you sharing it with me’? The guy you fired who’s dating your ex) You saw through my fake resume but saw something in me. So does Lily, Damian pours himself another drink. He cares about Lily and won’t mess up a good thing. He hopes Cane respects her decision.
Does Cane really think I’d take him back after all this time? Lily’s astounded. He believed he’d become someone you could love again, Amanda wonders if she’s using Damian. Lily will tell her the truth if Amanda will tell her what Cane’s really after.
After Phyllis shrugs off Nick’s question about Billy’s comments, Sharon claims she’s looking out for Phyllis. No, you’re looking out for Nick and his family. You have a lot to lose, I have nothing to lose. We’re NOT the Three Musketeers.
