What happened!? Phyllis asks – as Cane lowers Damian to the ground. Hold on! she repeats until Cane tells her to stop – he’s dead.
In the dining area of the maze, Lily finds Amanda drinking. Maybe Cane’s putting Damian through the ringer over our relationship, Lily worries.
Perhaps Phyllis can bring Damian back to life, like she did Sharon. Did she have a knife plunged through her heart from behind!? Cane barks – he’s GONE! There’s no one coming to help – it’s just us! When Phyllis backs away, Cane shouts – you think I killed Damian!?
Meanwhile, on the train, Devon and Abby make themselves Whiskey Sours. Hey you two, Chance joins them to chat about Cane thinking someone will try to kill him. Chance hasn’t seen anything to suggest his life’s in danger. Maybe he’s just paranoid, Devon opines.
This Cane is not the man Lily fell in love with. He’s a decent man, Amanda insists – he’s handling all this like a gentleman. You threw your new relationship in his face, she accuses Lily – who IS genuinely worried about Cane’s intentions towards Damian. Amanda finally believes Lily has real feelings for Damian – I’m happy for you. Perhaps she can help by convincing Cane that there’s no hope for a reconciliation.
I didn’t stab Damian, Cane insists – we were sharing a bottle of bourbon. He got woozy. No, Cane didn’t poison the bourbon – I got light headed myself. Next thing you know, Damian’s been stabbed. Poor guy didn’t deserve this. You’re not woozy, Phyllis observes. Cane believes the dagger was thrown from a distance – by someone who knows their way around a knife. You’re the only one with a motive, Phyllis points out. Believing HE was the target, Cane hurries off, Phyllis too.
Back on the train, Chance agrees that Cane’s paranoid – but this has been a nice getaway for him. All miss Dom and are sorry Amy and Damian haven’t been able to contact one another. Cane suddenly rushes in looking for Amanda and Lily; Phyllis is on his heels.
Amanda continues to promote Cane – it’s hard to put out that kind of spark. There’s NO spark on Lily’s end – and Cane needs to accept that. You think he’ll just give up? Amanda knows that he loves a challenge – the more you resist, the harder he’ll pursue you.
Lily doesn’t trust Amanda – and Cane can try all he wants but it won’t happen.
Cane needs to speak to Chance in private – NOW! Devon and Abby are left to agree ‘that was alarming’. What happened out there? Why is Cane looking for his lawyer? Why does he need to speak to Chance in private?? They interrogate Phyllis.
